Hi everyone! Another busy day here. I did have to go back out to the stores, but it wasn't as bad today. Thankfully!
Tonight we took the kids and did some Christmasy things like looking at Christmas lights, getting some hot chocolate, going to the Bellagio so they could see the decorations, etc. It was a nice day, but busy. Tomorrow I think I'm going to stay home and bake. We'll see. Right now I'm pooped and ready for bed.

sounds like a fun day! I'm trying to figure out a way to squeeze all of the Holiday things in since we haven't gotten to Ethel M's and the other light things yet. I'm crossing my fingers that they run through next weekend.

Hope you are sleeping! I need to get to bed. My sister-in-law is having her c-section at 730 am so I need to get to sleep so I can be there to meet my new nephew!! Gotta love having badge access to anywhere in the hospital!!!

Hello Ladies,

Just wanted to share that I was at DL this evening and a CM told me that their Christmas merchandise was 50% off! I went there to find a Santa hat for my company christmas party this week and I ended up buying 3. They had a Jim Shore Tinkerbell figurine of her sitting on top of a bell. It was on sale as well for around $14. Great bargains on their ornaments too!

Morning all! Sounds like everyone had a good weekend. Staying in was just what I needed as I feel quite a bit better today. It is still yucky weather out and the extended forecast calls for rain for the next week! BLEH!! But anyway we must trudge on. Yesterday I didn't even leave the house and it was nice. The girls and I watched Miracle and 34th street, the Santa Clause (1 and 2) and the Grinch. Then shane said that a guy that he worked with on one of his jobs called and wanted to talk to him and was coming over. I HATE people who just "drop by" cuz the house was a wreck and here I was laying on the couch in my pjs and looked like a wreck. UGH! But apparently this guy had offered Shane a job before while he was working up there and wanted to talk to him some more. He came and stayed for like 2 hours and he is thinking about it. It is a good prospect but of course job changes ALWAYS make me nervous. It is a change in what he would be doing (going from tile setter to construction management) and it would require him taking some classes and also being kind of entry level at that place. As crappy as his current job is he is at the top of his game there and has a lot of seniority. Even though they are treating him like crap he is fully vested in his pension and we would have to start over and we have our health care here and on and on. So it is a scary proposal with kids and all and especially all MY medical issues.

So it is a lot to think about. Esp since I only work VERY part time. Don't get me wrong I would LOVE for him to tell his current job to take a flying leap but we are VERY dependant on his job so it is pretty scary to think about him starting over! Anyway we will see I guess. But anyway then he left and we watched the new mummy movie. It was just ok. I liked the old ones better.

Today I have a re-check doc apt which is kind of a waste of time but must be done I guess and then I have to go in to work and then tonight we are going to mom's to bake cookies. Lynn has to work tomorrow and mom wants to go shopping for the girls but problem is we are stuck with them since Lynn has to work. It would be GREAT if grandpa would babysit but I think that is asking too much LOL. He gets cranky So we may have to take him with us and then if we see something I may have to run distraction tactics. But they haven't gotten to see santa so it may be their only chance so it may workout who knows. Then Wed I don't usually work but will probably go in since I am off on Friday which is my normal work day. Lynn works on Friday though. We are going to Christmas eve services wed and then to a family members home for Christmas eve like we do every year as we have a visit from "santa" for the kids and then christmas day will probably be at mom's this year. Don't know WHAT we are going to do on Friday but Shane has it off. Probably just veg. Since Lynn and Shane both have it off and she doesn't work till 4 it might be a perfect day to finally get her her cell phone

So that is my week. Still don't know about next week till they give her her schedule but the plan is to go up to truckee to play in the snow but it all depends on her work so we shall see.

Hi everyone--I worked most of yesterday and then did some final shopping--including Bed Bath & Beyond where I found the popover pans I'd been looking for! so of course--this morning I had to try them out--my Mom drove in to share--can we all say it together --- yummmmmmm.

I used the Neiman Marcus Tea Room recipe and made the strawberry butter they made--they were SOOO good and huge!

Now I'm trying to get the rest of the house in order because tomorrow night I'll be able to do a few things and I have a party Tuesday night (starting with drinks with friends at 3:30 p.m. and then some girlfriends and I have an annual dinner where we do an ornament exchange. It just turns out that both events are at the same restaurant in Newport Beach (the Ritz) so I won't have to go from place to place!!! Then Wednesday the family is coming for prime rib dinner. I'm still stressing over what side dishes to have, but so far:

Prime Rib
Baked Potato Bar
Scalloped Corn
Fruit Salad (brought by cousin)
Green lettuce salad

and then one more "healthy" type veggie. I'm thinking either ratatouille or green beans sauteed in a little olive oil. My Mom is taking care of dessert. And then on Christmas I am just going to chill out!

What time is dinner???

I hope everyone is feeling better. It truly sucks to be sick around holidays.

I've been working my little tushy off lately. You'd think my jeans would fit better after all the running around I've done. I've missed you all.

I have to work tomorrow again, and then I am off until Sat.

Beth-I am starting to look into the Breakfast Lasagna recipe. I have a few questions. Are belgian waffles ok or do I need to make regular waffles? Do you think it will hold up ok in the fridge overnight if I assemble it Wed night and then bake it first thing in the morning? Any tips you want to share? Thanks so much!

I need to wrap today in the worst way. I've been so lazy this year! I'm still loving everyone's tree pictures, and love the story about the naked Barbie dolls and furniture! That is too precious!

LOVE the snow pic Callie. Hope you are having fun in Colorado! Well I am home from work and about to head to mom for some baking. Went to my doc apt and what a waste. I basically told him my rib was all better cuz I didn't want to deal with his bs but I made the mistake of asking him what I could take if I got a headache during my 10 days off anti-inflammatories and he said I could take Tylenol but then when he asked what time my surgery was and I told him 5 he told me to tell them to reschedule it cuz that was too late in the day. I was like I KNOW that but I am not going through this again. I just want to get it OVER with! So then he says he wants me to come in to do a stupid EKG. What a joke. I think my mom is right. He just makes crap up to make money. We talked about it at lunch and I think once I am done with my uro stuff and hopefully get it all fixed I am going to seriously look for a new doctor cuz I am sick of his bs. I swear he just makes crap up for me to come in so he can bill my ins and get the copays. Sheesh. But anyway I went in and got all my stuff done and I wish I could say I was done for the week but I have to back in one more day but only for a little bit so no biggie.

But anyway mom and I ran to Penneys to look for a coat for Lynn for xmas and my mom found this cute vest and says oh look Lynn would love this and then finds a pair of car keys in the pocket. Turns out someone had taken a coat off the hanger and done a switcheroo and left THEIR coat but then forgot to take their car keys. OOPPS!! So they will be BUSTED when they come back to get their keys!! LOL.

But anyway so that was a little bit of excitement to say the least LOL. And then my mom bought Katy some stuff last summer but has proceeded to lose it. She did the SAME thing last year with a bracelet that shane bought me at Disneyland. HE bought it and gave it to her to "hold" for christmas and then christmas morning last year he looks at her and she not only forgot but she lost it! SOOOO here we go again LOL.

But anyway tomorrow is shopping. Should be interesting. We got to the mall today and there weren't many spaces but it wasn't too bad. We had to walk maybe 40 feet. In other words we couldn't find one RIGHT by the door and mom threw a fit. I was like oh please! She was like I'm leaving. I was like oh give me a break! LOL. I am sure the galleria is going to be EVEN worse. I want to try and take the girls to see Santa as they haven't seen him yet but I fear it could be BAAAAD! We shall see. Wish us luck!

Let me guess, you're talking about the wonderful Sunrise Mall.

I've been to the Galleria a few times during the week, including two Friday evenings and the line for Santa was not bad at all. Parking hasn't been too bad either.

So I call the phone number associated with the charge and give them the requested information. Well it turns out someone gave our information for a roadside assistance thing. The address they had was one that we lived at from 1998 - 2002. Of course I get redirected to the East Coast to let them know that we didn't authorize the charge or receive the services....but they closed at 5pm EST.

I called my credit union and had to pay another $20 to put a stop payment on this and look into identity theft. I am so livid right now. We don't even have a debit card on this account so that means they have my account and routing number information.

Alright I'm done venting....On a good note though we are done with our Christmas shopping. Wednesday we have to get a small amount of groceries and that's it.

I wish I could help you out. I've always just used regular waffles. And I always make and bake right away. I've never stored it over night. Sorry. I hope it turns out for you.

Happy Monday Everyone
We got more rain today, and it's c-o-l-d. At least for So Cal it's pretty darn chilly! Callie, that pic of Colorado is beautiful. We vacationed there this summer, it was really a relaxing week and a different type of vacation for us. I am so excited for Christmas. I have one gift still coming via UPS tomorrow - Deadliest Catch t-shirt and mug for DH, it's his favorite show. And he is quite the fisherman actually, he fishes, I do Disney. Works for us!
