I woke up in the middle of the night with a sore throat but of course it's only on one side, the same side it was on last time! UGH not again! :sad2:

 Hope you are feeling better.

Hey gals! I don't have time to keep up with ya'll and your obsessive chattyness. ;)

I'm doing mass amounts of laundry and packing for Colorado. :laundy: We leave on Sunday morning bright and early.

Have a fun and safe trip with your family.

I'm back from WDW! I know you all missed me terribly. (Not, lol) I am all caught up now. I had to go from page 160 to 196. That's a lot of reading. Good thing there were pictures in there to help keep me amused.

Sorry, there are no Santa pictures. I couldn't find any single, hot looking men to put on my Santa hat. That and one of my souvenirs is my wonderful COLD I got. I didn't want to be sharing my cold with the Santa anyways.

The cards are slowly making their way to me. It does take around 7 days, so don't panic. I expect to get some after the 25th. lol That doesn't account for today's snowstorm and the other one we are suppose to get on Sunday. That should help slow down mail delivery some.

I'm almost done shopping too! I did 90% of it yesterday, except for a few things I ordered online and received yesterday too. I have to go back out to buy 2 more sweaters for my neice and some toe socks. I would have been completely done but my ride was ready to come home. (I just needed another 30 mins but when the driver is ready, you GO)

BTW, I was Dancer the Reindeer and the Loser Lottery Ticket. I see I was in good company. :)

It's almost time for bed. All this coughing and nose blowing really makes me tired. I have no energy and feel a little icky. Try to keep it down to 10 pages in the next 24 hours, okay? Thanks.

Hi Shelley. Hope you're able to get through your cold quickly.

OKay, well now I am all caught up!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes for my tooth! :grouphug:
Actually it's teeth. I found out I have two teeth on my lower right, the two back ones, that had root canals done on them years ago, and have somehow become infected.

I have two options. One, talk to another dentist in the office who specializes in root canals and see if they can be retreated. That's the cheapest route at around $600 out of pocket expense. (still ouch!)

BUT if they can't be retreated, my only other option is to have them both pulled out, wait for that to heal, have a bone graft to replace any missing bone pulled out during the extraction, and then have implants. If I don't have implants put in, I'll be missing two major chewing teeth and the other teeth will start shifting.

The problem with the second option is not only is it more involved, (and sounds way more scary to me!!), but insurance doesn't cover the implants, so out of pocket we are looking at around $5,500!!!! :scared1: That is simply not an option for me. I do not have an extra $5,000 bucks laying around. Never will, especially since Noelle still needs braces and we were going to start on that after the new year.

So needless to say it was not a good day. :guilty: My only hope now is that this other doctor will say he can retreat them. I'll talk to him on Tuesday evening at 6 when I go back for a consultation.
In the meantime I a prescription for some antibiotics to help with the infection and also some prescription strength ibuprofen.

Sigh, talk about being a downer. LOL If you made it through all this rambling, thanks for letting me vent, and think good thoughts for me that he can just retreat them and it won't be too terrible.

 I'm keeping good thoughts about the dentist being able to retreat the problem. I understand your feelings about the dental bills. Selena (odd) will be seeing the orthodontist to have her braces put on at the beginning of February.

Oh my! Now I understand your fear of the dentist! :scared1: Why is it that dental insurance only covers the less expensive dental work like cleaning and not the most expensive procedures that it should. :confused3 Makes me crazy.

I hope that all works out with the retreating option and that the antibiotics kick in to help with the infection. :wizard:

My little one's ear infection is acting up again. So we are scheduled to go into the doctors tomorrow. I prefer to avoid antibiotics, but he doesn't seem to be kicking this on his own. We'll see how the night goes and what tomorrow holds...

Hope your little one is feeling better soon.

Okay I'm all caught up.

Today was my last day of work until the 29th, so I have a lot of plans for the upcoming week. They include: gingerbread cookies, making a gingerbread house, sleeping, reading Marley & Me, eating, surfing the internet, and staying in my PJs until it's time to go back to bed....:lmao: As you can see I'll be busy the whole time.

Awww Beth, darn it! That's even worse than a root canal. :headache: I sure hope you can get this treated and save the teeth so you don't have to have them pulled. And I totally understand the money issue. We had just spent over $2,000 on our son's early orthodontic treatment (phase 1 - he was a thumb sucker and needed a habit appliance), then spent $1,000 on our family's annual dental appointments (cleaning for 5 of us & a couple fillings) and then I had the root canal/crown issue come up. I was in tears when I heard how much the root canal was going to cost. We don't have any dental insurance, just a HSA, so everything for us is out of pocket. Just about all our health care expenses this year were on dental work and chiropractic care.

I hope the antibiotics and ibuprofen help you get over the pain quickly. Nuthin worse than a toothache, and at Christmas it just really stinks!

Thank you all for the nice comments about the tree. The gate is for my son we bought it just for Christmas. As soon as he was mobile he was into everything. Our girls never thought about going near the tree but Rhys is a totally different story.

I told my dh about Jen's (grizbuzz) comment about our tree being in jail and he thought it was hilarious. He wanted to let you all know that it's for the tree's own protection....:rotfl2:

Okay I'm going to continue to catch up.

Sooooooo .. . . it's kinda like the tree is in a witness protection program?

Too funny. My kids were the same way when they were little. Into everything! We had table top trees for years, and even then I'd use unbreakable ornaments.

Don't you just hate that!! Stupid teeth. LOL That could be Disney money. :rolleyes1

You beat me to it. That's what I was going to say. :rotfl:

THANKS everyone for the well wishes! :)
I've told myself there's no point in worrying about it until I talk to this other dentist on Tuesday and beg him to find a way to retreat the teeth. So I'm trying to forget about it until then, and we'll go from there. (but my fingers are still crossed!!!)

In the meantime I think I'll be ok. I've got the antibiotics, the extra strength ibuprofen, some NyQuil, an old bottle of percocet, and if worse comes to worse I can bake some cookies using Callie's mom's recipe. :thumbsup2

Have a good night ladies!

Too funny! Beth, I hope you feel better and you don't have to go the more expensive route. The dentist scares me to death, and the bills are even worse!

Besides the pain that accompanies that cocktail, it sounds like a perfect holiday!:santa:

I'm up early today as I acccidentally fell asleep while trying to put Ty down to bed last night--at 8:30pm. Yikes, I still have quite a bit to do to pull together the packing details, and Dave and Ty won't do much to help the process:rotfl2:

The weather for the beginning of the week is looking very iffy, especially on Monday, but I am praying for a Christmas miracle!:santa: I am not a big fan of rain, but I do love what is does to clear DL out. However, now that we have Ty, I worry more about having him out in yucky weather... especially since he is just finishing up the antibiotics for the double ear infection that he had last week.

Have a great weekend and a wonderful holiday everyone!

Beth I'm so sorry about your Dental woes. I so know what you are feeling. We DO have dental ins through dh's work but we might as well not becuase it doesn't cover much and then our dentist just informed us this past year that he is going out of network which means it will cover EVEN less. I was so upset because we have been with him for YEARS and it took forever to find HIM. MOST of the dentists in this dental program don't speak english if you get my drift. Anyway we had to put braces on Lynn at a whopping 6,000 a year and a half ago and the ONLY thing ins covered was 1000 of it so I feel your pain and then Katy has a cross bite and they wanted another 1500 for HER appliance and I said forget it. She will have to live. It was simply cosmetic and I couldn't afford ANOTHER 1500 bucks.

Our health insurance went up this year too. Our copays went from 10 to 15 to 20 all in a year and now to see my uro I have to pay 40 a visit and my meds went to 10 for generic from 5 and 40 for everything else which I pretty much have to pay 40 for just about everything I take so I pay almost 150 a month for all my different meds. Cuz of course EVERYTHING I take they don't have a generic for it. FIGURES. So I feel your pain!!

Hang in there and I hope you have good luck on Tuesday and I will thinking good thoughts for you and I hope the meds help over the weekend.

Last night on top of everything I started feeling like I was getting the flu on top of everything else. Gotta love it. ;)

Shane is off at his side job and Lynn is working so it is just me and the little ones. I drug myself out of bed and there is a ton of laundry and other things that need to be done round here but what I really want to do is just lay on the couch LOL.

Hope everyone has a good day! See yall later!

Hi, everyone!

I am so sorry to hear about your dental woes, Beth. Hang in there. In 2006, right after the ladies trip to WDW I was having HORRENDOUS pain in the back of lower jaw. I had an absess and my nerves were infected in my gums. I also had to have two root canals. We had no insurance. I had to pay it all out-of-pocket. The entire process took about 3 months. We got through it. Hang in there...it will all work out.

News is reporting today only a 20% chance of rain on Sunday night . . . .

Welcome home Shelly!!

No cute Santas to be had at WDW? Only colds? Now that is a shame. :sad2:

Hope you feel better soon! :flower3:

The dentist scares me to death, and the bills are even worse!
I don't know why there are so many lawyer jokes. Dentists are a hundred times worse. :sad2:

:rotfl: No kidding. ;) Have a wonderful time. We'll miss you!

So I feel your pain!!

Thanks. We can be miserable together. LOL That's too bad about your dentist going out of network and your copays. It seems never ending doesn't it?
I hope you aren't getting the flu! Good grief, you've got enough to deal with right now. Is your shoulder/ribs feeling any better?

Yikes! I don't remember all that. Which isn't saying much since my memory sucks. You are right. Things always have a way of working themselves out, even if that way isn't always exactly what we want. :)

Hey Beth,

Thanks! :flower3:
So.......I can't have your share of the pizza then? :confused3
OK, I'll add you! Sorry I missed ya somewhere along the last bazillion pages. :lmao:

If I've missed anyone else for any of the lists, just give me a swift kick in the rear and I'll get busy adding you. :thumbsup2

Whew! I'm glad to see y'all weren't too chatty today. I was afraid of what I'd come back to. I've been out all day running errands. Along with the rest of Vegas I might add.
Nothing will rob you of your holiday spirit like going to the stores the last weekend before Christmas.

I was in Walmart and they had their $25 wreaths on sale for only 5 bucks. So I picked up three really pretty ones and put them in my cart. Two in the cart and one underneath.

As I was walking around the store doing other shopping, at one point I left my cart at the end of a too crowded aisle, and when I came back the two from in the cart were gone. Someone took them right out of my cart! I was bummed at first because they were so pretty and so cheap, but then I figured if someone else wanted them badly enough to do something like that, then they could have them.

The whole day was just full of rude, grouchy people. :confused3 Tis the season.........yeah right. Tis the season to be pissy I guess.

Anyway, I hope you all had a great day! Ruben is off the next two days as well, so I'm not sure what our plans are, but hopefully we'll do something fun. And something that doesn't involve going to a store! LOL

Talk to y'all later. :goodvibes

That is unbelieveably rude. The scary thing is that I've heard this happening to a lot of shoppers this holiday season.

We decided to not go out today. But we've got to go out before Christmas for a few little things and I'm really not looking forward to it.

Now before I forget, I finally opened all of the Christmas cards that I have received this holiday season. I just decided to put them all together as they came in so I could open them all together. I want to thank you all for the beautiful, cute and funny cards we received. Also I didn't even think to ask my post office if they had Disney stickers. I plan on doing that from now on, they are so cute.

I hope you all had a nice day.

steph

When you venture out, try and go early. It's not as bad then. Good luck. Bring your patience. You'll need it. Kohls today looked like it did the morning of Black Friday!!
