That's cute! I have a stuffed moose (yep, moose, not monkey) that I take with me on trips sometimes and take pictures of him in various places. I know I have pictures of him in New York, various places around Washington D.C. and, of course, Disneyland.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

I participated in the "croc exchange" when I went to WDW and took pictures of the croc I carried around. On the day I was to hand her off--I was kept waiting an hour (because I got there early as I didn't want them to wait!) by the next person on the list--and when I finally called they said--"oh, we realized the boats weren't running to SSR so we went to Downtown Disney instead because by the time we took a bus it would have been too late." :headache: (Couldn't call me and tell me so I didn't sit and wait?)

So I left it at the resort--and they got it. And after their trip they LOST it. I am so sad that the croc is lost. I guess things could happen but I was so careful with it and then to have the next person lose it (and the new WDW pin I put on it) was really frustrating. Especially since my mom was totally sad to give up the croc to "strangers" and what would happen to her etc etc. I haven't told her yet that she's "lost." It's almost like she had a premonition or something!

Cheryl- that's too funny about your cats. My dog is pretty smart because she knows where the water is....in the tree holder! YUP, we brought the tree in, filled the holder/planter with water and now she treats that as her VIP water bowl with a hint of pine taste :lmao: So now we have no choice but to let our tree die a natural death (can't put those lasting chemicals they give you at the tree lots)

Has anyone gotten their Christmas card from me?

Cristabel--I got your card yesterday or the day before--really cute picture and you look FABULOUS.

See when I send mail OUT it gets where it needs to go fast but when I order something online it takes FOREVER to come IN. UGH.

But I'm glad you got the card :goodvibes & thanks.

Hey gals! I don't have time to keep up with ya'll and your obsessive chattyness. ;)

I'm doing mass amounts of laundry and packing for Colorado. :laundy: We leave on Sunday morning bright and early.

Beth, I hope you don't have to have anything serious like a root canal. My last one just sucked, both pain wise and money wise. :headache: Now I'm completely freaked out about the molar on the other side of my mouth. I don't want a repeat of that experience.

Cristabel - thanks for sending me a card even though I didn't sign up for the exchange. I'm hoping the mailman brings our cards today so I can get them addressed and in the mail before we leave.

I'll be able to check in next week from Colorado since my mom now has high speed internet and a Mac.

Hope y'all have great weekends!

I know I don't get on here much these days but just wanted to let you all know I am thinking about you and our trip and am bummed I have not been able to keep up. Thanks to all of you in the christmas card exchange! It has been wonderful to get your cards.

Heather (littleblackraincloud) love the idea of the scrapbook! Count me in! Oh, and thank you for all your hard work putting together the trivia. With my crazy work schedule and 2 young children (my youngest is just about 6 months old and my oldest (finally potty trained as of this week!) is 3 1/2) I didn't get a chance to do it in time, but I wanted to let you know I understand the huge effort you put in and that is sooo cool about club 33. Those individuals will have so much fun and what a unique experience that you are sharing! (Beth and January I know from the original trip to Disneyworld and they are a blast!)

Happy Holidays to all of you and I look forward to possibly getting back on here more often in the new year!

Sarah

I'll add you to the list Sarah!

I'm with Callie, and not being able to keep up with you all! I want to read the monkey trip report though. I did Flat Stanley for my cousin's little girl. It was fun!

I'll be back later. DH just got home with sushi! Yum!

Callie - your welcome! Have a fun time in Colorado!

I wanted to apologize to whoever sent me the colorful striped Tinkerbell Christmas card (I want to say it was Linda [lulubelle]) because my dog, being the mischievous devil that she is, decided 'hmm, that looks good.' and destroyed it to smithereens!

I did enjoy it but my dog seems to have enjoyed it more:rotfl:

Well, I hope you all have a better day then I think mine will be. I woke up with a toothache. Two of them to be exact. Top and bottom, back right side. They've been bothering me off and on for awhile now but I've managed to ignore it because I dread going to the dentist. But I think I've put it off as long as I can. The pain is more steady now so I guess I'd better call and see when I can get in.

Ugh, I hate this so much!! Last time I was at the dentist's office it was only for a cleaning and I almost had a panic attack in the waiting room. I wasn't even in the dentist's chair yet! :sad2:

Not only do I dread the pain, I dread the bill.

Anyway, I guess I don't have a choice. Hopefully I can get in soon and get it over with!! :(

Have a good day everyone. TGIF!!
Ooh Beth!
I hope you are feeling better now! :flower3:

Callie, I hope you have a wonderful and safe trip to Colorado!!

Merry Christmas!!!

I'm back from WDW! I know you all missed me terribly. (Not, lol) I am all caught up now. I had to go from page 160 to 196. That's a lot of reading. Good thing there were pictures in there to help keep me amused.

Sorry, there are no Santa pictures. I couldn't find any single, hot looking men to put on my Santa hat. That and one of my souvenirs is my wonderful COLD I got. I didn't want to be sharing my cold with the Santa anyways.

The cards are slowly making their way to me. It does take around 7 days, so don't panic. I expect to get some after the 25th. lol That doesn't account for today's snowstorm and the other one we are suppose to get on Sunday. That should help slow down mail delivery some.

I'm almost done shopping too! I did 90% of it yesterday, except for a few things I ordered online and received yesterday too. I have to go back out to buy 2 more sweaters for my neice and some toe socks. I would have been completely done but my ride was ready to come home. (I just needed another 30 mins but when the driver is ready, you GO)

BTW, I was Dancer the Reindeer and the Loser Lottery Ticket. I see I was in good company. :)

It's almost time for bed. All this coughing and nose blowing really makes me tired. I have no energy and feel a little icky. Try to keep it down to 10 pages in the next 24 hours, okay? Thanks.

Hope you feel better really soon. :yay:

Obsessive chattyness??????? :rolleyes1 Hmpffffff. Not me.

(have a great trip to Colorado!)

Afternoon all. I am back from work and my office party. I almost didn't go because I talked to dh this morning and found out his stupid work forgot to take his child support out of his check and then on top of it they gave them a real ugly meeting today. It really bummed me out. When they go on vacation they don't get paid time off so it is always a double whammy for us cuz not only do we have the expense of the trip but we have to save up for the days off and no matter how hard we try it is always tough and this trip was even harder because my car reg is due in Oct then our 6 month car ins is due the 10th of Nov and then Shane's reg is due in Dec plus Christmas and Katy's birthday and on and on and on.

Well then add a trip to Disney World on top of that with almost 2 weeks of missing paychecks and it gets UGLY! They take his child support out of the first two weeks of the month and I just KNEW they were going to screw it up. He didn't get a paycheck on the 5th and they DID take it out of his check on the 12th but sure as heck they forgot to take it out of todays check. Plus on top of it all his check was smaller than normal ANYWAY cuz they have had him working houses instead of commercial because they are jerking his chain already (they love to do crap like this when you go on vacation). It is SO stupid and I really HATE this company. But anyway when he works on houses he makes 6/hr LESS than when he works commercial which is what he NORMALLY does. So anyway I saw the amount and was like oh crap they forgot to take out the child support. And sure enough. Then when he went to his normal Friday meeting he said they not only didn't get anything for christmas (haven't the last 5 years in a row!) but they were told that now they have to take the same 6/hr paycut in commercial too. I was just SICK! So I was NOT in the mood to go to this stupid party today. He has worked for this company about 8 years now and NEVER calls in sick and usually only takes 1 vacation a year and he NEEDS that week because he is on his knees every day and works his butt off and NEEDS a break. And they do this crap to him EVERY time. He either gets laid off or they pull some other crap. It is SO stupid.

I SO wish he could find other work but right now in this stupid economy and since that is pretty much all he knows how to do we are basically stuck. And at least it's a job but his stupid boss knows it but it is just ridiculous.

Anyway my mom basically FORCED me to go eventhough I didn't feel up to it and it was OK but my heart wasn't into it. My secret santa gift was a bracelet some candy and a coffee mug. It was ok but I am glad I am home.

Tonight we are just going to watch our shows and stay in and try to relax.

Beth I hope things went better for you at the dentist then they did for me today.

Sorry for being on such a downer! Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!

Well, yet again, another school day cancelled, so our winter break is now 3 weeks long.
That's about two and a half weeks too long! LOL My kids are home for Christmas break now. I'm happy, but at the same time, I just know they are going to make me nuts with all their bickering.

We will be celebrating December birthdays at work tonight. I am bringing a cake from the local bakery and we will be ordering out BBQ.
That sounds fun and yummy!!

Your poor tree! In jail like that! :scared: What'd it do wrong?
:rotfl: Tree jail!

We leave in just over 26 hours--not that I'm counting. Wish me luck, as it's our last shot at the Dream Suite!
In case I miss you, have a wonderful time and good luck!!! :wizard:

I woke up in the middle of the night with a sore throat but of course it's only on one side, the same side it was on last time!
Oh no! I hope it goes away.

So I left it at the resort--and they got it. And after their trip they LOST it.
Awww, that sucks! Sounds like they weren't very thoughtful of your time or very careful with the croc.

Has anyone gotten their Christmas card from me?
I did! I posted that I thought it was cute! Thanks. :goodvibes

You too! Have a fun and safe trip. Gosh, I'm so jealous of everyone who's heading off to see family. Boo hoo for me.

Welcome back!!! I can't believe you read it all. LOL I'm sorry you got sick and that there were no hot Santa's but I hope you still had a great time.

(Beth--what's better than raw meat?--raw FISH!!!!! LOL)
Are you trying to make me ill???? :scared:

I'm sorry about the hassles with your husband's work. That sounds really stressful. I hope you are able to relax tonight and that tomorrow is a better day.

OKay, well now I am all caught up!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes for my tooth! :grouphug:
Actually it's teeth. I found out I have two teeth on my lower right, the two back ones, that had root canals done on them years ago, and have somehow become infected.

I have two options. One, talk to another dentist in the office who specializes in root canals and see if they can be retreated. That's the cheapest route at around $600 out of pocket expense. (still ouch!)

BUT if they can't be retreated, my only other option is to have them both pulled out, wait for that to heal, have a bone graft to replace any missing bone pulled out during the extraction, and then have implants. If I don't have implants put in, I'll be missing two major chewing teeth and the other teeth will start shifting.

The problem with the second option is not only is it more involved, (and sounds way more scary to me!!), but insurance doesn't cover the implants, so out of pocket we are looking at around $5,500!!!! :scared1: That is simply not an option for me. I do not have an extra $5,000 bucks laying around. Never will, especially since Noelle still needs braces and we were going to start on that after the new year.

So needless to say it was not a good day. :guilty: My only hope now is that this other doctor will say he can retreat them. I'll talk to him on Tuesday evening at 6 when I go back for a consultation.
In the meantime I a prescription for some antibiotics to help with the infection and also some prescription strength ibuprofen.

Sigh, talk about being a downer. LOL If you made it through all this rambling, thanks for letting me vent, and think good thoughts for me that he can just retreat them and it won't be too terrible.

Oh my! Now I understand your fear of the dentist! :scared1: Why is it that dental insurance only covers the less expensive dental work like cleaning and not the most expensive procedures that it should. :confused3 Makes me crazy.

I hope that all works out with the retreating option and that the antibiotics kick in to help with the infection. :wizard:

My little one's ear infection is acting up again. So we are scheduled to go into the doctors tomorrow. I prefer to avoid antibiotics, but he doesn't seem to be kicking this on his own. We'll see how the night goes and what tomorrow holds...

Ouch!! That is the pits!! Hopefully you can treat without removing!!!!!!

And this is a good place to vent! No one can talk back, and we are good listeners!

Take care!

What a sweet family, Steph! pretty tree:santa:
[/url]

Morning everyone. Love the tree steph. Very cute!!

Very cute Steph! :santa: Is the gate for a dog? Or the kids? lol
In MI we had a cat, and that darn thing would climb my tree every chance it got. I'd find him sitting on the branches half way up the tree!!

Steph: Darling tree and kiddos too. I have to laugh when I see your gate. I had one of those for years. I used it with my now 12 year old, when we were at my cousins cabin on the river. I was paranoid that he would get to the river and fall in. So I put a blanket down and set him in it. Everyone would put their chairs around it and feed him and play with him, and he was safe and sound, and happy as a lark. I also used it for our Christmas tree for years, and for the puppy. Basically it was one of the most useful baby tools I ever owned.

Steph - Cute tree. I love that you guys decorate it together. I usually do all the tree decorating around here.

Your poor tree! In jail like that! :scared: What'd it do wrong?

Still haven't pulled out any of my glass ornaments in fear that my little one will break them. He's old enough not to pull down the tree anymore, but the ornaments from the lower branches are all piled on the floor.

Merry Christmas!

Thank you all for the nice comments about the tree. The gate is for my son we bought it just for Christmas. As soon as he was mobile he was into everything. Our girls never thought about going near the tree but Rhys is a totally different story.

I told my dh about Jen's (grizbuzz) comment about our tree being in jail and he thought it was hilarious. He wanted to let you all know that it's for the tree's own protection....:rotfl2:

Okay I'm going to continue to catch up.

steph
