Wendy, I'm sorry you had a crappy day today, and that you are still sick. I hope the Christmas spirit hits you soon. Well, not literally. LOL Mine comes and goes. Some days I'm in the mood, and others......eh, not so much.

It's just going to be us this year. We've ALWAYS had family around. When we lived in CA in was Ruben's family. Then in MI it was mine. Even last year for our first Christmas here, we drove to CA.
But alas, due to our minivan being on it's last legs, and Ruben's work schedule it will just be us this year.

I'm trying to think of something to do or somewhere to go to keep us busy and entertained. But no inspiration so far.

Well, enjoy your wine and dinner. Sound so good! I had a stupid Lean Cuisine pizza which was like eating fake rubbery cheese on cardboard.

*LuvS* Wendy ... not OnLy cuz she's got delicious favorite wine { what kind} but because she's made spaghetti.. yummy! It sounds so good.

It's my favoritest wine that I've ever had. It's a red (OF COURSE!!!!), Michele Chiarlo, Barbera D'Asti.

It holds a nostalgic value to me, so it always makes me happy when I have a glass.

It's funny you say that. I've been thinking about making some fudge for the past few days. I have all the ingredients. I keep having arguements with myself trying to convince myself I don't really want any.

hi! i have been lurking these girls trip threads for awhile, but i have been unable to attend any trips, so i haven't really participated! i had a question, though, if anyone remembers. i remember seeing some chocolate covered strawberries that someone received as a gift and posted pictures. I was wondering if anyone remembers where they were from? I was thinking of doing that as some holiday gifts. Thanks for the help!

It was from Edible Arrangements. And they were so good. They deliver or you can pick them up. I got DBF's mom one of those and it was great.

I don't know if there will be a stripper pole. But there will be plenty to drink. Usually there ends up being pictures of everyone's "twins" being taken.

There was a thread on the CB about someone suggesting a stripper pole for their office Christmas party. I only read a few posts but people were freaked out by it. I thought it was pretty funny, but then I'm twisted that way.

There was a thread on the CB about someone suggesting a stripper pole for their office Christmas party. I only read a few posts but people were freaked out by it. I thought it was pretty funny, but then I'm twisted that way.

Meanwhile, here in Vegas as I was shopping the kid's section of Kohl's as I was picking up some Toys for Tots and Angel Tree gifts tonight I overheard a cell phone conversation that was soooo uniquely Vegas. The woman next to me was obviously talking to one of her girlfriends who apparently is considering putting a stripper pole in her bedroom. The woman at Kohls said and I quote "Tell your husband it's a good investment in the house. Remind him that I'm a realtor and these kinds of things up the resale value here in town."

Yikes... I am really that out of it that I never would have thought that a pole in the master bedroom ups the house value, not lowers it?

I have to do some Christmas shopping again tomorrow. Disney store started the 50% off today. Spent 50 bucks, and got DD some nice princess toys. The 30 dollar belle barbie with 3 outfits was 14.75, and got the Beast doll that transforms into the prince for 5.99, plus a few other things. They had ornaments for 3.99 each. I have been thinking fudge for a couple of days now also. I may make a batch this weekend, and I need to do some Christmas cookies also.

We made sugar cookies when my mom was here and the kids had so much fun cutting them out and decorating them, I'm really wanting to make them again.

Morning ladies! Ugh, I am up way to early. I was hoping to sleep in......like all day maybe. lol
I shouldn't even be online. I said I was going to drag my butt away from the computer this weekend and do something, but I can't think of what to do. Baking is the only thing that comes to mind. Oh well.

morning all! Well I survived the week! I don't know if I will ever get caught up with the boards but thanks to all who looked at my pics. I have missed reading all your posts but I know some of you responded but I am STILL swamped with trying to get unpacked and laundry etc. But thanks for looking.

I did pick up Christmas cards though when I took my personal pics in to get developed and when I had some spare time in between work and picking the girls up from school I actually sat down and did them ALL for the boards!! And I am about to take the to the post office here in a minute!! My christmas tree is not up and I still have crap scattered all over my house but I knew if I didn't stop and take the time I would never get it done so they should be mailed today!! So watch for them!

Anyway got my photopass CD ordered as well! Priorities you know! I am STILL doing laundry (it never seems to end) I get some done and it seems to keep accumulating. LOL. Anywho at least the minimum days are over hopefully next week I can get a little bit back to normal. The girls have a field trip next Thursday that I am helping with so hopefully this stupid rib thing I have going on will start to feel better but otherwise I am hoping to not feel so overwhelmed. I am also hoping to get Katy's birthday booked this weekend or first of next week so I can get the invites done as I need to hand them out to the teacher on the 15th so they can go in the kids folders by the 17th. The party won't be till January 3rd but that is the problem with her birthday being over the vacation. It stinks for her having a birthday on New Year's eve but so be it. So not only do I have to deal with Christmas I always have to worry about her birthday as well. I hate to admit it but I will be glad when she gets a bit older and is out of the birthday party phase (don't let anyone hear me say that ).

I'm probably gonna do some choco chip ones, maybe some white chocolate cranberry ones, unless I do princess cookies which is white chocolate/candy cherries, cranberry bog bars YUM, Magic Bars, Butterscotch blondies, and many more. It's 25 days of holy cow goodies lol.

Well, ladies--I had the WORST headache yesterday . . . . just excruciating. Could not understand it . . . . . haven't had one like that in a looooonnnggggg time.

And then this morning it all made sense--when I realized that Aunt Flo had come to visit after a year's absence . . . . sigh . . . . I was hoping I was all done with that "kid stuff"!

My tree is up--thanks to DBF--but not lighted or decorated. I stupidly decided to begin my "stuff purge" during the holidays--not smart--so my garage is totally a mess and my house is in different stages of disarray as to whether it's a "public" area (in which event it's in stages of getting decorated) or "private" in which it's in the process of being emptied out for the giant Feb. garage sale). My homeowner's association finally approved my new outside lights--but only three of the six were in stock--so my handyman is coming this afternoon to install those. (Of course, they're the three that are working--the ones that aren't working are the ones that had to be ordered!)

DBF is housesitting for the next week for some friends so I'm hoping to get a lot done in his absence--and Mom is coming today and we are going to DL for a few hours in the morning to meet up with Molly(bumbershoot) and her family.

So, if I'm going to get this show on the road I'd better get to work! Lostgirlz I'm hoping to make cookies next weekend! Haven't decided what yet.

Wow - I applaud everyone who is baking for Christmas! I am not the best baker, so I usually don't bake much. We don't really have any great bakeries nearby either (at least that I've found....), so my boys usually make due with chocolates! Anyone care to share their bounty??? (J/K!)

I just received my first card from Heather - thanks!! I did not realize that a couple of people live so close to me - in Blaine. I'm in BC, but about 20 mins from the border. I shop in Blaine frequently for stuff I can't get here. Very funny (it's a small world after all )
