I'm so jealous! I can't wait to see it!

When we go, we'll get to see the new 'rooms'. I can't wait!

Do you think they will have the smells on the 'regular' ride?

New rooms?

That's where you are wrong. I'll be bringing my dreams to Disneyland with me. Splash Mountain is a nice, easy one. We'll start you off on that one.

My mom and I took my 84 year old grandma on Splash Mountain and she survived. It's a cute ride. Zip a dee doo da ...

Now don't scare her off you guys! Although I don't understand her reluctedness (is that a word?), since she's riding out with Callie and I, I know I feel responsible and don't want to have to explain to her DH about passing out or anything else like that! She would probably never be able to come with us again!! :scared:

Don't worry, Heather, I'll protect you :wizard:

From what I hear, Callie's driving is scarier then any ol' Disneyland mountain. :rolleyes1

Don't worry, we'll pack the torture in between lots of fun! ;)

Thanks BFF! I might need to hide in the 'secret' bathroom if the mob insists on pursuing me!

Well, I guess I mean scenes. The new Americana scene. Your Grandma is my new hero. My mother took me on Space Mountain when I was 3, and I hated it. I blame her for my fear. (Poor Mom...why do mothers always get blamed?)

Good thing Stacie is driving!

Hey not to change the subject or anything (or maybe I am!), but is the BB going to be closed while we are there?

I'm wondering if the new Celebration BBQ will be going when we go, and want to offer that up as a suggested replacement in case BB is closed.

I'm sure we could come up with something to celebrate!

From MousePlanet:
Celebration Round Up and BBQ at Big Thunder Ranch – available Spring 2009
Disneyland's Big Thunder Ranch will be transformed into the Celebration Round Up, where groups can celebrate any special occasion with a BBQ meal served family style. The menu includes BBQ ribs and chicken with traditional side dishes, with vegetarian and gluten-free entrees available on request. Kids will receive a Celebration Sipper cup, and everyone gets a deluxe goodie bag. The meal concludes with dessert, a festive presentation of cupcakes served in waffle cone holders, and carried to the table in an oversized gift-box centerpiece. [I have seen concept art for this dessert presentation, and it's my favorite element of the entire "What Will You Celebrate?" dining offerings]

Big Thunder Ranch will be decorated with a "Celebrate Today" overlay, with live entertainment throughout the meal. Characters will make periodic appearances, but this is not billed as a "Character Meal." The Celebration Round Up and BBQ will be presented daily, weather permitting, and priority seating is recommended. Pricing has not yet been finalized, but expect it to be comparable to character meals.

Available: Spring 2009. You can book the Celebration Round Up and BBQ at Big Thunder Ranch up to 60 days in advance once the opening date is announced.

Hey now! There won't be any need to be attacking my driving (said in my best Barbossa voice). pirate:

Heather will be protected by those who are grateful for her generosity. Because you realize that she is able to be taking that back anytime she wishes. Argh! pirate: ;)

Anyway, the only time my driving is scary is when I am on CA freeways, in the dark or the rain (which is actually a lot like Splash Mountain). Wheee!

:rotfl2:

But, but I answered the questions... NO TAKE BACKS!

A lot like Splash Mountain, except for not being on a track. :rotfl: Me driving in the dark and the rain is scary. Sometimes, I'm surprised I haven't gotten into a accident. WHEEEEE!

Good thing Stacie is driving!

Oh, okay...it was covered by black curtains.

My family took my 81 year grandma on Indiana Jones. She hated us for the rest of the trip. :rotfl2:

:scared1: I don't think my grandma would have made it through Indy. :rotfl:

Hey now, I'm not doing it...no way, no how. :scared1:

The last time some friends drug me onto a ride at the fair, I passed out. That was a lovely scene, they had to stop the ride, get me off, and then they insisted that the paramedics come check me out. What a way to cause a scene. I don't think our plaid wants to deal with me and my 'chickenness'. :scared:

So, you all will have to leave your dreams of torturing me at home.

Heather--we "ride-weenies" will have to stick together!

I got you on ToT. I think I can get Heather on, at the very least, Splash Mountain. If you two are sticking together, then you'll both be going on! :woohoo: :rolleyes1

:scared1: I don't think my grandma would have made it through Indy. :rotfl:

You should have seen my grandma's face during the ride! :lmao: Afterwards she yelled at us and screamed that she could have died. :rotfl2: It was freakin' hilarious. I love my grandma, she cracks me up.

Well--I must say--I have actually been hankerin' to go on Splash Mountain! Maybe by March I can get my courage up!

Yea! It's my favoritest ride ever, Cheryl! If you go, we MUST talk Stacie into riding as well. She has this "thing" about not going on wet rides. :sad2: Regardless, I so want to be in your log!!! :dance3:

(with poncho properly protecting my hair and jeans -- yep, I'm one of those "poncho people")

There is nothing wrong with being a poncho person. Just remember that photo of from Splash Mountain during the April trip. "Dry is not an option" is definitely the motto for that ride. lol

LOL--believe it or not--I think it will be easier to get me on Splash Mtn. than Stacie!

Hi all.....just a quick drive by post........the club 33 notice made me look quickly...LOL! I went a few pages back but don't have time to catch up on everything. Where does the time go???
Congrats to those who are going to Club 33....what a fabulous prize! I've gone for dinner twice and it is so special! Don't forget to buy your club 33 mickey ears.....if they have them in stock!!

Belle....so sad to hear you are not coming to visit! hugs.

The word dentist makes me quiver in fear......YUCK! hugs and pain free pixie dust to you!

Monkey Bread?? YUMMMM....my family loves it. The recipe posted was very different then the one we make, so I will have to try it and see what they say ;)

Holiday time at DL......sigh! I just love it and it gives me chills still every time it snows on Main Street. And woohoo to KOST radio for playing their Christmas carols already! Our weather is getting cold, windy and a chance of rain this week.......WOW! I can't believe we are getting the much needed rain. I'm so excited, even with the kids being out of school all week! !!

I planned a last minute trip to WDW in the middle of Dec to meet up with Dagny, Shelley, Lauren and a bunch of girlfriends. I'm SO excited, but am trying really hard to get all my Christmas stuff done before I leave!

Happy Thanksgiving to everybody and I hope you have many things to be thankful for!
