Last night Our Sweet WendyLouWho's car got hit by a teenage driver {Let's hope her parents have good insurance} so if you can send her good thoughts, cuz she might be sore today..you know how your body tenses up in an accident. Even though she was okay last night.. the next day you can really be aware of the reality you were in a car accident and your car is damaged, now you have to start dealing with the insurance companies to get it repaired.

So Please just send a prayer or a thought to her today!

Thanks, Kelly! You better believe it! BUT with graduation comes stress! I just emailed the head prof of the photo program and lead academic advisor because I have a wonky GPA for some reason.

I recently started Topomax for headaches and evenness on the mood front and it works wonders so far. I've heard mixed things about it so I hope you benefit from it too. I actually have yet to take it today I need to get the refill from the pharmacy. I'm putting that off because the public would be frightened of me with the way I look right now

I have read just enough to congrat Stacie and Brigette!! Woo hoo! If I have missed anyone else, so sorry.

Wendy, I'm so sorry about your car accident. Ugh, we were rammed from behind on the freeway 3 months after we moved here. The lady behind us didn't stop when we did. We saw it coming, and you definitely tense up. I won't drive the freeways here now. I'm too scared.
I hope you are ok, and your car is repaired soon with no hassles.

Did anyone see The Today Show this morning? It was really cool because Ken Salazar, Sec. of Interior, was on and they were in the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island - Ken is from my little valley in Colorado (Kerry aka KerTggr went to school in my little valley too!) and my dad used to buy potato seed from him and his brother and when I was a travel agent I used to book his air travel. But that's not the only cool thing they were in the crown of the Statue of Liberty which has been closed to the public since 9/11 and they are going to open it up again to the public. I have been up in that crown...has anyone else? It is so cool but it is a very narrow, winding staircase and then the crown is a very small area maybe 10 people can fit into it at one time. Sorry, but I just had to share!

I have a pretty easy day today. I'm going to Costco for a party I have on Saturday and to get some stuff for Mother's Day, and then we're meeting with a potential client. After that, all I have to do is pick a friend up from the airport at 7:00. She's surprising her mom with a weekend visit.

I've never been to NY. Ruben has always wanted to, but it scares me. lol

Also being in the crown would probably freak me out. I get claustrophobic. I can't ride the subs in Disneyland or even do the castle walk through. Being all enclosed, with lots of people around just had me headed immediately for the exit!

The crown would not be a good place for you! It is very crowded and the winding stair case is very claustrophobic! You could stay at the base and enjoy the little park there and send Ruben and the kids up to the crown and they can take pictures and tell you all about it! NYC is a crazy but wonderful place to visit!

I know that I always watch CO2 in my patients on Topamax because it can lead to metabolic acidosis, which is hard on the kidneys and in extreme cases be hard on breathing and cause confusion. Sometimes the very mechanism of action that makes a drug so good can also lead to it's being a problem in some people. I think it's great that your doctor is following up. I hope your insurance works out.

Oh, yes, saw the Today Show and the Statue of Liberty ~ loved seeing it again...and Ellis Island as well. We went up many, many years ago and it was awesome for me as a teen (just like walking up the Washington Monument), but would not do it again with those narrow and steep stairs - although the view is incredible from the Crown - waaay to high for me these days. Guess I've turned into a wimp.

Is that why I keep taking my inhaler? I recently started taking Topomax and I feel like I'm having a hard time breathing. It could be allergies though and the fact that I'm cleaning house and extremely out of shape. Let me know your take if you wouldn't mind though.

On another note, I'm sitting here watching my Ghost Hunter's eating a bowl of fruity cheerios and I take a bite and I think the milk has turned. I sniff the bowl and its not that. Then I lean over to smell my feet and it's not that. I go to my kitchen and it's not my garbage disposal. Sometimes my bathroom sinks get reflux (that's what I call it) and they get funky.... nope. Then I opened the door to the hallway and sure enough the neighbors are making an extravagant lunch. They're from India. It smells sooooooooooooooooo good out there I wish they'd invite me over. Inside my place however.... ugggg. Another fun filled day in Indiana!

Thanks so much everyone. You guys are so awesome. You know I get dizzy a lot and and my memory is just awful. My neruologist said the combination of the Topomax and the depocoat would REALLY affect my memory and I can tell you I get shaky and jittery and just feel weird. But I also had a LOT of major anxiety so what do you do and before I took the Topomax I had DAILY headaches. It is so frustrating. And now I have these stupid hormonal headaches and I have to take the hormones to deal with those. So many stupid pills! I swear and then I have to deal with the side effects that come with!

Heather that is what my psych said. That he was worried that my Topomax was effecting my CO2 levels so that is why he wanted my primary to look at my labs but when I called she hadn't even SEEN the slip so the nurse went and grabbed the fax and then she called me back and said the level was 114 and that that was within the normal limits. I was like, well why is my psych worried about it then. So now I am worried that my primary is not paying attention or whatever. Luckily I have an apt with my psych again on Monday so I am going to ask HIM what HE thinks! Problem is if I go off the Topomax I certainly don't want to go back to the daily headaches that I was having.

Anyway as far as the other stuff I am going to try and not worry about it because I know we have LOTS of witnesses and I know we have the truth on our side. It just irritates me that after ALL the stuff that she has done like drinking and the drugs and everything and the police just basically said they would do nothing. They barely would put her in juvey. And running away is NOT a crime and they said she can just keep doing it YET if they even THINK the parents are doing anything they go after you like crazy. Which don't get me wrong they SHOULD IF they parents are truly abusing the child but nowadays and certainly in this situation and many that I have seen the kids can LIE and manipulate what goes on THIS is what happens. It is ridiculous! But I know that when we talked to CPS and told them that her mother was abusing her they told us that there was NOTHING they could do since she was not IN the house. So my feeling is how can they do anything to Shane since she is not with us. I mean that is what they said to us! And esp since it isn't true anyway! I just worry more about them trying to take my other kids away or something. It is just ridiculous.

Although even when this happened last year Shane told me if it came down to it he would leave the house so they wouldn't take the girls. But of course they proved that she was lieing so nothing ever came of it but this just irritates me that she is pulling this AGAIN all this time later. I guess she is trying to retaliate because she got caught. I don't know.

Anyway enough of that. I am just so glad I have you guys to talk to. You are great friends and I am so glad that I met you all and that you are here!

You know.. i was thinking.. maybe since Steph is so sweet to do the cards for the trip... which i *still* have in my purse and use.

Perhaps we could do a sort of drive for the military and make the donation in her name.

Meaning.. i know there is a group that takes children of fallen soldiers to Disneyland once a year.. i just can't remember their names.

What if we did a stuffed toy drive for the children of fallen soldiers as a special thank you to Steph?

If each of us picked up a a stuffed animal between now and christmas or several small ones.. we could help make a childs christmas a little brighter.

Maybe you need to both go in to the doctor just to have a record in case you hurt something?

You could turn the bills into the insurance company. It couldn't hurt.

Just out of curiosity, where are the Divas staying on the Vegas trip? My brother and I are staying at the Golden Nugget on our trip at the end of June because he wanted the best pool for the best price. I thought that you couldn't beat the water slide through the 200,000 gallon shark tank for $48 a night! Now if I could just get in bathing suit shape before June 30th I don't have to be hot, just need to tame the cellulite mildly before I feel comfortable taking off the wrap but hey, there's a cabana bar... if I have enough pina coladas I won't care and we're spending two days there so we can have an ENTIRE day by the pool. Beth you should come say hi! You live there right? You could meet me before any Diva... you could beat Cheryl any my b-day mini meet!
