Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

If this state is a rockin' don't come a knockin'!

I hope everyone is OK!

I don't like crab either. :scared:
Yay, I'm glad you like the necklace!
I love, love, love havarti cheese. Can we switch places?

:lmao:

Knock knock!! Everyone is okay! :flower3:

I love cheese. :cloud9:

Ok--my news for today is that I took a tumble last night. For you Divas who have been to my place, I was getting Bella from the living room (where she was about to do her "business") to take her outside and tripped on one of the two stairs leading up to the dining room. I was so worried as I went down that I would crush her :scared1: that I protected her and not myself, and in the process hit my upper lip on the wood floor. Blood everywhere--and now I look like--in the immortal words of my friend/landlord Scott--a collagen injection gone wrong. I am also lisping. Luckily it does not appear that I loosened any teeth--and I did manage to eat. (So much for turning this into a positive by not being able to eat.)

So for the Divas I'm meeting tomorrow night (Jen--how is your DS?) I may look funny but I'll be there.

Oh Wow Cheryl! :hug:Glad you didn't suffer any more injuries! That sounds painful. I am very happy to hear that you missed your teeth! I had a fainting episode about a year ago...fainted out of my shower/tub...flat on my face and almost knocked out my two front teeth. They were at weird angles and I pushed them back in place. The dentist tried to save them and we are still working on that but I cannot eat anything solid on my front teeth and I always worry that they will fall out. It really stinks! I also have a huge dent in my shin from hitting the side of the bathtub. I am soooo glad that you are ok!

Don't worry about meeting me or us tomorrow night! I'm just glad that you are ok and will be there!! :goodvibes

Every day I get farther and farther behind!
School has now entered crunch time, with less than a month to go they are piling on papers and projects. So far I'm doing well in my classes, I only have a C in blasted geography! But I did raise my grade 4% with one good test and we still have a map quiz, poster project and final left. I think I can easily raise it to a B.

So would someone, PRETTY PLEASE, give me a one post update!

I restrained however because we bought Mary Poppins tix for December at the Ahmanson in LA and the $300+ just hit DH's CC and I know if I asked him what the answer would be....

Hi Linda! Do you have a website for Mary Poppins in LA? Is that theatre downtown LA? Being new to LA I don't know a lot of the venues. We went to see Wicked in Jan. at the Pantages so I know where that is but I've never heard of the Ahmanson. It would be great to see Mary Poppins and I know that DBF's kids would really enjoy it, they loved Wicked and play the soundtrack from it all the time so I think they would really like this one too. I think I have them hooked on theatre!

Like rubber stamp sets for card making and stuff like that.

How sad is it that I'd rather list my ebay items on Sunday than go to my graduation ceremony? :rolleyes1

Aha!

I didn't walk through my college graduation. My advisor messed me up (she was about to leave for a new university and had mentally checked out, thought I knew what I was doing in the order I was choosing to take some "ordered" courses, but I was expecting her to tell me if I did it wrong) so I got to go an extra semester. So the grad I would have walked through wouldn't have been "real", and then my boat made Regionals, so I was rowing on some strange little river in Sacramento instead of walking. Then we had a Fall grad ceremony at the college president's house, and that was SO much better. :goodvibes

Wendy, I'd see an MD and a DC to cover your bases, and don't sign anything for some time to come. Especially chiro stuff can take awhile to make itself known (a week or so), because the muscles have to relax a bit before you start feeling the spinal stuff.

Kelly, your lab must use different units than the lab hubby went to, or the values are extremely different for men vs women, b/c his lab's normal range (for men) in CO2 is 24-32. They use mEq/L. Anyway, that's not my point, my point is that I LOVE this website. Now if you're the type to borrow trouble and worry worry, then don't check it out, but if you like having info that won't necessarily be covered during fast appts, it's a good one.

And of course it's always good to read the whole thing, LOL:
While there is no such thing as a “standard” reference range for CO2, most labs will report a similar, though maybe not exactly the same, set of numbers as that included in medical textbooks or found elsewhere online. For this reason, we recommend that you talk with your doctor about your lab results. For general guidance only, we are providing the reference range for this test from the classic medical text, Tietz Textbook of Clinical Chemistry and Molecular Diagnostics.

Cheryl, OUCH! E had the same sort of fall recently and had a cute puffy lip for a few days.

We are staying at Stacielees timeshare.
I want to stay at the Golden Nugget just for the pool. It looks way cool!!

I love their pool, but in all the times that I've stayed there I've never been in it.

Ohhh geez. We just had an earthquake! Shakey!

I didn't feel anything. :confused3

I don't know why but this made me laugh.

 Big Hugs for Wendy, Kelly and Cheryl. Hope you all are feeling better soon!

Boo, Blue Moon with a splash of Orange Juice is my favorite beer. Yum!

I'm having a hard time keeping up with you ladies, too. Glad I can kind of just skim over the trip planning discussions. Sounds like ya'll are planning lots of fun in Vegas.

I'm excited for my trip up to Seattle/Poulsbo next weekend. Can't wait to get outta this blasted heat!

Cleaned my butt off all day for another scheduled showing, which ended up being a no-show. Grrrrrr! I honestly don't think God wants our house to sell. I'm going to start focusing on getting us out of the heat this summer for as much time as possible. I know Dan's worried about being gone from the house while it's for sale, but I seriously can't take another summer here.

K, done whining for now. Hope ya'll have an incredible Mother's Day weekend! :goodvibes :flower3:

Nerd alert! I just bought tickets for the American Idol concert! I'm taking my BFF's 14 year old daughter.

I thought you were gonna say something really nerdy.

Thank you everyone for your concern! :grouphug:

My mom and I are both experiencing some pain today. Her shoulder hurts and for me, it's my back and lower neck. I spent the morning dealing with the insurance company. Now I'm just waiting for her to give her side of the story. Hopefully everything goes smoothly! :goodvibes

I hope everyone is having a great day!

Glad you guys are ok for the most part.

Just out of curiosity, where are the Divas staying on the Vegas trip? My brother and I are staying at the Golden Nugget on our trip at the end of June because he wanted the best pool for the best price. I thought that you couldn't beat the water slide through the 200,000 gallon shark tank for $48 a night! Now if I could just get in bathing suit shape before June 30th :yay: I don't have to be hot, just need to tame the cellulite mildly before I feel comfortable taking off the wrap :lmao: but hey, there's a cabana bar... if I have enough pina coladas I won't care and we're spending two days there so we can have an ENTIRE day by the pool. Beth you should come say hi! You live there right? You could meet me before any Diva... you could beat Cheryl any my b-day mini meet!

We are staying at a time share. James' mom and kids love staying at the golden nugget. Good choice.

Bella was scared at first because of all the commotion, but now is back to her feisty self. (LIke this morning when she thought the underwear I was trying to put on was her new playtoy.)

Sorry to hear about your tumble. And is it wrong that I want to see a pic of your lip?

So would someone, PRETTY PLEASE, give me a one post update!

Most important thing, I'm graduating in two weeks. Other than that, nada.

jk

Wendy got into a car accident, a few of us joined the bad girls club, Cheryl has a puppy and took a tumble trying not to squish her, Kelly got her tickets to DC with her mom, a few new people have popped in, a group is meeting up with Jen tomorrow night, Steph will be out of town for Mother's day but will celebrate next weekend, Bridgett bought a new swimsuit online, Courtney's boss wasn't in yesterday so she was able to DIS at work, Callie keeps cleaning her house to show, Katie applied to a new job, Amy Sue is competitive (but you knew that) and everyone is looking forward to more plans. I think that was the jist of the last few pages.

I THOUGHT I felt something when I was at lunch-but then thought it must have been my imagination.

I'll try to take pictures just for you. And amazing that you remember all that. I can't remember what I had for breakfast.

Afternoon all.

First off Cheryl I am sorry about your fall! That sounds really painful! I am glad your puppy didn't get squished in the process. Poor thing. I hope you are feeling better very soon!

Stacie that update was hilarious! You crack me up girl. I love it LOL!

I am home now. Mom and I took all our maps and Tour book and are still trying to figure out where to even begin on our trip. We really want to go to Williamsburg while we are there but figured out it is 2 hours away but it is kind of like going all the way to Florida and then not go to all of Disney World or whatever.

Anyway then I went to the video store on my way home from work and rented Benjamin Button, Frost Nixon and Last Chance Harvey. Then I stopped to get my mail at the post office and found out Katy got a progress report from school because she is below average in reading. That makes me so mad because she is not reading "fast enough". I have had this argument before with teachers because they push them to read "faster" and I think they should worry more about whether they can comprehend WHAT they are reading rather than how FAST but anyway now they are saying she needs tutoring but gave me NO feedback what the hell that means. I suppose "I" am supposed to go out and get private tutoring. SHEESH!

Anyway so we are home now and going to watch our movies and just relax before tomorrow. Hope everyone has a good Friday night! ENJOY!! And thanks to EVERYONE who gave me hugs and props! As always you guys are the bomb! :)

See you tomorrow!
