Capri--great wheels!

so, my big news for the day is that Bella came home tonight--yep--a 9 week old Corgi. The funny thing was, I was sitting there trying to make my mind up between two of the three puppies (one was way too rambunctious) and my cell phone rang--I pick it up and guess who it was--Dr. AmySue!! Who said she was driving home and just KNEW that I was getting the puppy. And she was right--so with her help I decided to get the female and I'm glad I did--she is just perfect. (AmySue when you said these dogs were cute you weren't kidding!) And the great news is that the cats don't seem "too" stressed by it all--the older one is like--ehhhh--who are you? do I have to share food with you? No? ok, you can stay.

the other one is way curious and was doing ok until Bella barked at him then it was "I'm outta here!"--but I'm sure he will come around soon. Bella is asleep in her crate right now--she was really tired. And so am I--I will try to post pics tomorrow--I left my cable at work.

Congrats on the new addition to your family! And Bella is such a cute name. Now you just need to go back and get the boy so that you can name him Edward and they can live happily ever after!

If you need someone to babysit sweet baby Chase in the interim, just let me know, I could be his favorite auntie He took a liking to me, even after I accidently dropped him on the floor. Since the passing of our beloved Cocoa, we are waiting until the holidays for a new pet. Can't wait to see Bella

Hi girls! I just got back from a fun evening with my BFF and her family. They are doing freat, considering they just lost their grandma. The good news is that we broke into the bottle of Rosa, and it was delish! Thanks for the suggestion, everybody. I have a feeling my weekly food budget is going to have to go up by $17.99 now!!!!!

Cheryl--Congrats to the new mama! I can't wait to see pics! I've been wanting a puppy, but I just can't figure out how to fit one in my lifestyle....vacations and whatnot.

Aw, congratulations on the new member of your family! Not much is sweeter than having a new furbaby in the house. Bella is a darling name! Can't wait to see lots pics.

Tomorrow morning our Jackie, who is almost 14, goes in for surgery to have a tumor removed from her paw and 4 other growths removed by laser, since she'll be asleep anyway. We have a wonderful Vet who is very experienced with seniors, so we know she is in especially good hands. Still, it's always a worry when one our fur-babies must have anesthesia.

It's a cloudy and warm 7 am here in the Mid-South and I'm watching the Practice. It's on pretty much every Saturday and Sunday at 7 & 8 a.m and I'm hooked. Yesterday was the pilot for the series, so now I'll get to see most of the shows I missed when it came on at 10 pm and could not stay awake. After a day with 2/3 yr olds I was lucky to be awake at 9, never mind 10.

Have a great Sunday! We're off to Mass later, a few errands, then a pedicure to get ready for our Mother's Day trip to Charleston.

Well today i'm going to plant some flowers in pots to sit around the yard, my little grandchildren will help I think I'll do a flower pot for my mother and place it in her backyard to find when she returns home from her mothers. Then later our daughter and her husband are bringing dinner over. My daughter is such a good cook. She makes things i'd never even try. Her hot and sour soup is sooooo delicious.

That is TOO funny! (CONGRATS CHERYL ON THE PUP! I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOU AND JEALOUS!) I'm a Twilight Saga obsesser as well. I actually have a funny personal story about that series. I was in a 2 3/4 year relationship that wasn't exactly chocolate and roses. I got bored and began reading Twilight to see what the hype was about. Well in a nutshell it made me think about how my mom and dad love each other so deeply and that there are far better things out there for me. So I decided that I should pursue my education (so I ended up going making the choice to move to Cali because of Twilight essentially) and I ditched the boyfriend too! How funny! There is a joke that it's because of Edward, and I say that it is, but it's not really... but its fun to pretend that I'll find my sparkly vamp in Cali!

We are home from the surgery center and I am happy to report that everything went very smoothly and very quickly. We got there at 6:30 and his surgery was at 7:30. The doctor was out to see us by 7:45 and Ty got discharged at 8:05!

Belated congrats. So glad things went well. Have you noticed if he is sensitive to noises since his tubes? I remember when my son came out of surgery he about jumped out of his skin when the hospital toilet flushed.

So I have some good news to share...I'm a happy mommy. DH came through and is taking me and the boys to DL for Mother's Day! I'm such a lucky mom and wife. C ount my blessings everyday I do.

Oh YEAH! What a good hubby. Be sure and go on Splash Mountain for me.

Perfect! So really, when are the 3 of us and any of the other ladies from western washington/southern BC going to get together? It would be a blast!

Thanks Beth. Yep, my parents were getting paranoid with me riding around in what they call "rattle traps". So my mom put together this whole deal with a local Ford dealer for us to trade in our older cars, have me pick out a new car, and she would pay cash for the balance. Needless to say, the dealer didn't say no......imagine that.
