And Janelle yes that is the one on Auburn. I had NEVER been to that place. You know what they say you live in a place your entire life and you end up never going places. I have also never been to Sutter's Fort. I figure one of the kids will end up going on a field trip and I will go with them. LOL. I do want to go back with the kids though cuz we only went to the planetarium and not to the regular part of the museum. It was neat though!

We should get together sometime.......we can't have the first time I meet you be in Disneyland in February considering we're right in the same town.

Sutters Fort is really neat. I haven't been since a field trip either and I'm sure you'll go on one there. That seems to be the biggest field trip destination in sac, besides the pumpkin patches lol

Just tossing a planning question out there.......
anyone like the idea of meeting up (other than meals and tours) at a certain time to do certain rides? I know there are some ladies who love that idea, but was wondering how does everyone else feel about that? The ride(s) would be decided ahead of time so we don't waste a ton of time doing the "what do you want to do?" "I don't know, what do you want to do" thing.

Any suggestions or opinions on that?

That sounds awesome! I would love to get snapshots of the monitors that have the samples of the photos we could potentially drop $20 on. I'd just sneak a pic of the monitor with my camera personally just for fun!

I'm not a gossippy type person. I have a ton of gay friends, even family, and yes my gadar did go off. But I still didn't judge, I just assumed and then I saw cabaret videos of him on youtube and that basically reinforced my instincts. I still can't say it for a fact because I've never heard him say it though. But come on!

Janelle, I'm sorry to hear you had such a rough day yesterday. And that you are in such pain again. I wish I lived closer to you! I'd totally take you out for some lunch and shopping. Or watch Ayden for you so you and Chris could have some alone time. Hang in there.


Kelly, I think it will come down to Adam and Danny. And it won't even matter who wins, because they are both so good, they'll both go on to have amazing careers.

On a crappier note.... I fear that I'm beginning to have kidney problems again. I don't think I have mentioned it here before, but I might have.... I get kidney stones. It's a metabolic thing. They just randomly form, then stress triggers them to start trying to pass for some reason. Well I had issues about a month ago and now its flaring up again. At least I'll have 2 weeks before I begin 8 more weeks of summer school (less intense than this semester then I'm officially DONNNNNNNNNNNNNNE!)

I'm convinced it's Indiana that gives me kidney stones and California will cure me of my ills. Sunshine and ZERO humidity here I come!

I'd have to say this has been the most talented group they've had on Idol...every season there are half of the contestants that I scratch my head at...but not so much this season.... a couple so-so but overall....very good!!

I think it's funny that they have to lip-sync during the group numbers..... sure they sound great, but it's a singing contest...it's up to the guys running the sound board to balance the microphones..... a real cop out this season.
(of course, if the group numbers sounded like the first season with Nikki....then it makes total sense.....she was so loud & off-key it made everyone sound bad.....)

I'm guessing most of them will do good following this show. I sometimes think winning isn't always the best!!! Case in point.....Daughtry!! Also Clay Aiken did far better than Reuben...... so its the exposure & who gets behind them that will matter.

Did anyone else think that Taylor Hicks sounded good last night??? Nice to see him doing his style of music & not the "Im the idol winner & have to record their sappy crap music"...... My hubby said he'd buy his new CD & that's a huge compliment!

Aw Thanks Beth...that's so sweet of you. I'm surprised I get around as well as I do with the pain. I'm just glad I can finally say there's progress!

Hi everyone....just checking in.

For those of you who have read my posts about my recent difficulties in parenthood, I have good news. We had a great evening and morning with my son. He had a nap at daycare yesterday and I wonder if that is what did it. Even though I had to take him to urgent care last night (his eyes were itching really bad and his nose was running like a sive...looks like he may have hayfever) he behaved very well and was nice to the nurse and doctor...he was good when we got home, went to bed without complaint and got up this morning on his own and announced he was going to go get his clothes on for the day and make his bed. It was fabulous and gives me hope that he really is learning and really does have it in him to be the great kid I remember from before he turned 3!

Yes, I'm sure she will. She's a beautiful beautiful girl, I know she would do well on that show. She has done some print and runway stuff already but she hasn't "broken" yet. She has so much potential.

Oh wow, the first time I saw him I thought he was gay. lol And my gay friends say he's gay as well. He's cute and kind of flamboyant, not over the top but it's there. He does have potential to go far but yes, I think that too many people won't vote for him because he is who he is. Unfortunately but true.......

But I am def up for meeting for sure even if Wendy is unavailable but she is a sweety and we had a great time at the meet and since she is here it would be fun if she could join us since she is fellow Sacramenton but if she can't we can get together by ourselves. But we should at least see if she can come cuz it would be like our own little mini meet.

I have a gay brother-in-law and I guessed it right away. You just "know" by the way they carry themselves, dress, act. NOTHING wrong with it at all but you can just tell. If you know what I mean. Seems like a lot of theatrical people are but hey nothing wrong with it!

I have fibromyalgia too and it REALLY bothers me during season changes.

For my kidneys, my doc gives me a couple of things for it. One is potassium citrate. It's a supplement that I take twice a day, but if I don't drink an abundance of fluid constantly it isn't guaranteed to work 100% of the time. I also take a diuretic for high blood pressure so I'm sure that might affect the absorption of the fluid ? (doctors, nurses or nutritionists?) Another is Toradol (sp?) I can only take it if I feel like I'm dying and for 5 days max because it'll give me stomach ulcers if I use it for any longer. The other is loritab. I have chronic pain and have to take extremely low doses of it frequently, but if I have to take more than 1/2 of a tablet per day the list of side effects are lengthy and include but aren't limited to drowsiness, forgetfulness, being a complete idiot, moodiness, and becoming an erratic grouch. It also makes my tummy hurt if I take it a lot. It works miracles though in times of desperation.

I'm done boring you all with my medical mumbo jumbo.


On a happier note... I'm finally back at my apartment! *huge sigh* I can finally sleep in my own bed without two dogs trying to spoon me from either side. Down side: I have no groceries and my maintenance required light is on in my car because I need an oil change. That'll have to wait until tomorrow. So that was an excuse to order my favorite pizza! I got a 12" cheese, green pepper, roasted red pepper, and feta with red sauce and a salad with a 6 pack of sprite! Now if you'll excuse me, I have some delicious business to attend to at my dining table!

Yea I work M-F from 7:30-4. Gosh now I remember why I didn't sign Ayden up for swimming LOL He did lessons last year at Glen Oaks and i really thought about signing him up but then I remembered that huge committment. When I was 19-23 I was a nanny for 4 girls that were on Glen Oaks swim team and the majority of my days were spent up at that pool. Best job I ever had LOL We get kinda busy with T-ball practice and games but I'm sure we can work something out. I'm just excited now!
