Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

Thank you so much to everyone who welcomed me! I really appreciate it.

The last person who told me I could pm her must be Beth :upsidedow Thank you so much for the big welcome! I appreciate it. Oh geez, I do not have any good pictures of myself on my computer but I do have a couple nonetheless. How do I post it here?

Thanks again!

Take care everyone.

Hi Wonderlandteaparty!

Wow, you are brave joining up with a multi day meet after only 2 posts on the site.:rotfl:

Have you been to mouse adventure or mice chat? I think a couple of the girls here are mods there too. What's your name there.. maybe ya'll know each other.:confused3

We have all ages in this group, where do you fall in?
:flower3:

Hi Cheryl,

Nice to meet you, thank you so much. I live close to Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Where do you live?

Have a great day!

I live in Orange County--very close to Disneyland. I used to date someone in Hollywood and used to have a hairdresser I went to in Beverly Hills.

You have to have 10 posts, then you can upload your photo to photobucket, and use the IMG code for the picture to post here.

Hello,

Ha, I like to live large ;). I just got an annual pass and though hey, why not sounds like fun. I am battling/beating cancer so I figure why not do things out there and venture.

My name over there (at micechat) is coreen but I am pretty new there too. I used to look and not post.

I am 23.

Have a lovely day - smile.

Ah, that is very close - awesome!

Well then you know right where I am. I am right in between the three - Hollywood, West Hollywood and B.H. Not too far from Disneyland, about a 40 min drive.

Have a wonderful day!

Caitlyn

I love alice in wonderland too! :upsidedowTeacups is one of my favorite rides. What's yours?

I'm glad you are coming through your cancer alright. Good Health to you.:flower3:

There are some girls your age!
Not that age really counts cuz look how people are friends within the group crossing generations.

Hi Girls.
It has been a crazy day!!
Hang in there Heather.
Hi Caitlyn.
I wasn't at MA but I am super tired from late night dates with my Lit & Logic books.

My favorite ride? Hmm... I love Pirate's of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion to name a few :upsidedow

Thank you for the kind words, I am working at it.

Seems like a great group of gals!

Take care

Caitlyn

Hello all!

My name is Caitlyn. I am new to this Disneyland thread and board. I have checked out Micechat from time to time and recently found this place. You girls seem like loads of fun, you all seem so sweet. I live in California and LOVE Disney land. I recently got an annual pass and am stuper stoked about it. I found this thread about Girls only trip to Disneyland in 2010. I was wondering when it is and can I join? How does it work since I am new and do not know any of you.

Nice to meet all of you :flower3:

Take care everyone!

Hello and welcome!

I'm ready for a nap too--are any of the MouseAdventure girls feeling totally exhausted like I am?

My eyes are so tired they hurt.

Ok, Linda, that just made me yawn.

Talk about the power of suggestion . . . .

Ok, that made me yawn too.

Hi Girls.

Hang in there Heather.
Hi Caitlyn.
I wasn't at MA but I am super tired from late night dates with my Lit & Logic books.

Those aren't the kind of late night dates I want to have . . . . .

First off Hi and welcome Caitlyn. I was new this year and had a BLAST at the 2nd annual meet this year! Can't wait for next years. These are a great group of gals and the meets are fun and I consider everyone my new friends and we have so much fun talking in between!! They also do little mini meets in between the big one too so I am sure you might be able to do one of those as well if you are interested since you live down there. Look forward to talking with you more on the thread! :)

Janelle I feel ya girl. After they came out saying 12 more people from the school had symptoms we didn't go to swim last night and I was really hesitant to go but we are going to go ahead and go tonight. I know what you mean though. Sometimes my dh acts like it isn't as big of a deal either and my mom DEF does. She is going to Mexico in June and I sometimes think she is just worried about losing out on her vacation and I am like give me a break! My health is WAY more important than a stupid trip! But she may not be ABLE to go on her trip if this thing gets any worse so we shall see. But don't beat yourself up over it. The girls are right. I think the store is ok but if you are really worried about Ayden and school, esp if he is ALREADY sick, then keep him home! Hang in there!!

And Laurie, girl let me tell you my stepdaughter was a HUGE liar! We had problems with her for years and still do/did. I say this because I don't think you came on this thread until after all my drama but she ran away from home in March and she is no longer living with us. She is my step but we have had MAJOR issues with her. She is an alcoholic and into drugs and has major issues. We think she is bipolar but she refuses to get treatment and on and on. She is currently living with Shane's (my dh) mom after being gone and being picked up by the police for almost a month. I can tell you she lied to our face, to the teachers etc JUST like your son. It really is a never ending battle. We tried ALL the tricks and told her that she wouldn't get in as much trouble etc etc but she STILL did it. She found that no matter WHAT the punishment was she would rather lie because she was literally a pathological liar! She would tell us she didn't know how to NOT lie and it was just easier. It was pretty sad honestly and there was NO trust.

Perhaps you might want to seek advice of a professional as Beth said because we just got SO frustrated with it. I honestly don't know how you can get around it but I wish you luck because I KNOW how frustrating it is and if there IS something you can do (professionally) find out now cuz for us it only got worse as you can see! So I hope you can get help! Good luck to you!! ((hugs)) And I can't say enough that I so admire you for what you are doing!!!

I just made the biggest fool out of myself

I've been house sitting for my parents while they're out of town and they're coming home tomorrow so I decided I'd try to mow their lawn for them as a treat of sorts. Need I remind you that its been about 12 years since I've operated a push mower and I was never very good at it. I asked my dad if he minded if his lawn looked like a 24 year old woman who hadn't used a lawn mower since she was 12 mowed it first and he said no. So I put my grubby shoes on, threw my hair up in a makeshift ponytail with headband and set out into the evening. 30 minutes into it I realize that its not really getting any shorter but I press on... after all it's practically a meadow already and I set the blade quite high. 45 minutes into it I look at my shoes and realize there are no clippings. DOH! I called my dad and he told me that I missed a button! I'll give it another try tomorrow.

I brought the mower into the garage with my tail between my legs :rolleyes1

About 7 of the neighbors were congregating in the next yard semi watching the kid who came home and tried to mow the lawn and failed. (no probably not but it felt that way)

I just thought I'd share. Maybe my story will make somebody laugh or smile :wizard:

Tried to catch up with everyone!

Caitlyn, welcome aboard. My name is Melody. I love your name. It's my DD's too, only she spells it Kaitlyn.

Laurie, I wish I could give you some advice. That is a hard one to figure out. If it continues, you might want to talk to the social worker at school, and see if they can do some counseling or somethin.

Heather, I'm sorry you are feeling overwhelmed today. Big hugs to you and Nathan.

Janelle, I agree with everyone else on their thoughts about going out, and Ayden's school. Take care.

January, did you bop the kids or not? :rotfl: No really........sometimes it must be hard to have your job. Take care too!

Dawn, I hope the headache goes away quickly. Take care of yourself, and get plenty of rest.

Ok.now I have to go and pick Kaitlyn up from track. Talk to you all later.

Sorry I ran out of time to respond to everyone.

So HI to everyone else!!

Welcome Caitlyn! I'm Bridgette and I'm pretty new too!

Oh Bridgette--what do they know? Plus, they're probably jealous so slamming you makes them feel "important"

Oh Bridgette I'm so sorry the critique didn't go as you had hoped. I, and many other ladies on here found the picture absolutely beautiful! We're still huge fans!

:grouphug:

Well, screw them. We all loved it. ;)
Seriously, I'm sorry about that. Don't let it get you down. It was really lovely.

Thanks ladies! I'm not too worried about it (brushes their comments off shoulder) but your opinions matter and THAT is what counts :grouphug:

Ok--let's make this a positive! Think of all the exercise you got! :thumbsup2

True! I came inside and chugged a glass of water I was so thirsty!

LOL!

I laughed!!

Sweet! Mission accomplished!

Those aren't the kind of late night dates I want to have . . . . .

Believe not the kind of late night date I want either!!
I like kind that involves dinner & wine......
not the kind that means studying my butt off!!

Bridgette- that was funny! Last summer was the first time I had mowed the lawn in years! I feel your pain!
