Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

Well, as I said before, I think Breezy and I will be at Hojo's two nights and on-site two nights. I may change my mind depending on the rates. But, we must bear in mind that Hojo's may not give us the party room for free and such good rates on our rooms if we only book a couple of rooms. And we definitely cannot afford the rates of a "party/meal" on-site. That was like $50-60 a head, right? I mean, unless we made it our really special meal, which I don't think we plan on doing.

For the Scavenger hunt, I REALLY vote to add a few rides. I think there should be an option of 4-5 rides where you look for a clue and we have to do two. That way each team has to strategize which ride is quickest for them. Then lengthen the hunt an hour. We were all really tired after it (no stopping for pee, drinks, pix, NOTHING!) and we didn't even place:scared:. This way, with two 10 minute or so rides, we would get a little rest. Add to the picture that several of us went on WIWF an hour or so after the hunt and walked/stood for 4 hours, I was wiped out. That was the night DD & I drank a bottle of Rosa Regale at the jacuzzi and hit the hay with a vengence. :thumbsup2 We had a wonderful time, though.

Steph, you poor thing with three little ones sick. Pixie dust coming your way.:cutie:

Hey=--I've got Rosa for tomorrow night. And Saturday.

That's our Cheryl!!!

Hey where is Dawn tonight? Getting ready for flying again, huh?

I hope Wendy is feeling better---want to see her on Saturday!!

Dawn is probably:

watching t.v. with hubby OR

quivering in fear because she heard about our earthquakes today.

One quick last post!

I hope with all of our Moms with sick and pink eyes and rashy skin children get better soon!:flower3:

I do not like yellow on me, but I do like pink. So there. But as AnySue was saying............I will sacrafice my skin looking yellow for one day too.

AmySue, I think I will see you on Saturday too. :goodvibes

I wish I could keep up on the ladies expressing interest on staying onsite, but alas.................I have already lost count, and don't have time to go back. :upsidedow

I get up at 5:00am with the roosters to leave for DL! Woo hoo! :woohoo:

Looks like the weather is going to cool down quite a bit. :goodvibes

See ya!:cool1:

Yes, it has cooled down so pack some warm things to wear!

Ok ladies--I'm hitting the sack. Dawn, Wendy and Linda (and MJ?) are just going to have deal with my messy bedroom--LOL.

How old is Rhys?
Maddie's doctor would prescribe Motrin when she had an ear infection (she was 1).

I am so sorry to hear that your kiddos are all sick. That is a major bummer.

Not sure if you've already done anything, but our ped always recommended benadryl and advil to get through until the next day.

Ha Ha!
Nighty Nite.
Check in with everyone tomorrow. This is going to be quite the fun weekend! We will be sure and post lots of details and pictures.

Beth do you want to start a thread planning the October trip or would you like me to? I don't mind either way. :dance3:
If it's not too much work for you, by all means, go ahead. If you think you won't be able to keep it up, I'll start it. I know you have little ones to deal with, so you let me know what you feel comfortable with. :goodvibes

I read back, and Steph I am sorry for the pink eye, and Janelle, I hope Ayden and you both start to get better.

I'm super tired and off to bed. Night!!

Oh, and for shirts, I like red, lime green, and blue. Earthy and cool tones generally look good on most ladies. Browns, tans, greens, and blues. :thumbsup2

Okay, so I should have used multiquote, so bear with me...

First and foremost, thanks for the well wishes! I am feeling much better today and happily neither Dave, Ty, Amy or Beth seemed to pick up my germs. I would have said it was food poisoning, but Beth and I had the exact same thing, so I guess I'll never know, but I am just happy it's over and done with.

As for rooming situation, I will speak for Amy and say that we are fine with a 3rd roomie if we have a rollaway, and that we would totally be up for onsite at a good rate.

Regarding the scavenger hunt, I am all for rides, but would like to stick to one park only. I also wish that there were some way not to make it timed as I know that not everyone in our group is able to move as fast as some of the others, but I am not sure how to make it competitive yet fair.

Oh, and thanks Linda for the great complement on the photopass photos :lovestruc you totally made my day!

I'm sure I forgot a million other things that I should have weighed in on, but it's been a really long day and I still have to pack. Seriously you would have thought that I had been out of the office for 2 weeks and not 2 days based on what had piled up for me to deal with. But, I get to go to Disneyland tomorrow and that makes it all seem better. Safe travels to everyone else and I'll see you Sunday morning if not before. BTW, Melody, I am at Hojo too so hopefully we will see each other!!!

Finally, I want a baby moose. Whomever has me in the exchange should please make a note of this. That is all.

Who are you taking to Company D. with the second ticket? Hmmmm????

A.S.

Blackmail? I thought you were above that sort of thing.

Ha Ha!

See you Sunday Linda!

Oh, and to the local ladies, not sure if you got the email or not, but the Disney Warehouse in Santa Fe Springs is closing. They are having big sales till the final day on May 2. So anyone local might want to give it a check.

I like the red and lime green ideas. I prefer bright colors.
I really don't like yellow and think it doesn't look good on a lot of people. I do like Pink, particularly the fushia variety.
I LOVE purple and think it looks good on alot of people.
I've also thought about black or brown.

Edited to Add: Oh, and I wouldn't mind staying onsite if I could do the four (or five) roomie thing and keep costs down. But even at $180 a night, with four people that would still be $50 a night per person. Just thinking out loud.
I know Cheryl, you looked at a Grand Suite, but would we have enough people who have points to get a few two bedrooms? They sleep 6 (and after having seen them, I'm certain we could actually fit in closer to 8 and be very comfortable still) and typically will cost ALOT less. Just a thought. Those of us without the DVC could each pay a portion and I still think we'd end up coming up cheaper than a room, AND have kitchens, etc.

I can do the October thread Beth. I'll be good with it. I don't think it will go nearly as fast as this one since the main chatter is over here. :hyper2::hyper2::hyper2:

I'll go start it, and reserve a few spots at the beginning like you do. Then we'll have an official DisDivas and Family mini meet thread. :yay:

As far shirts go, I thought the red and green shirt days went over the best. I would like a blue day as well. I agree with Beth stick with more neutral colors that look good on everyone! princess:

Ditto to red & green. I also think that blue is a good one as there is a shade of blue that looks good on most everyone while oranges, pinks and yellows can be hit or miss depending on your coloring. And, I would steer away from black or brown because they don't necessarily stand out in the crowd in terms of being easy to spot people in your group.

I like bright colors for groups.....makes it easy to spot one another. I think the blander colors (brown, tan, grey, white, black) would get lost. Lime Green is a must....for obvious reasons...... I like red, a blue one (just not navy)....maybe purple.....teal.....another shade of green???? Just some ideas. We'll never find a color that fits all.......

I was gonna say the same thing. With the brighter colors you look more like a group.

True. But we just get the majority to decide and those who want to match will, and those who don't, won't. We had some ladies who choose not to wear matching colors on the days and it was fine. But you are right, one color does not fit all.
