I'm still at canyon lake, i just found out my DH has to go to the very bottom of south texas tomorrow so he just booked me a flight home in the morning. I was looking forward to our drive back and will miss him while he's gone..he won't be back til thursday. And i leave friday for california.

I hope you are having fun. Sorry about your DH having to head off like that though.

I have an AP question that I can't wait to have answered (I made a thread about it and I'm anxious!) If I get my AP tonight.... is it true that it will be valid for a full year from the date that I get my physical pass... as it picture taken and entering the park? If not... I'm waiting BUT I won't have time to go get it at Costco once I move because I'm literally going to DL on July 5th, a day after I get there!

Ok one last thing... I ordered a DDRD card for $101 and probably won't get it for another week. Is it stupid to get the Deluxe AP now that I have the money (as in $$$ this week and I don't want to sit on it) to get the Deluxe tonight, then upgrade to Premium once I get my $101 in a few weeks? The day I get to the parks is a Blockout date and I don't want to get the Deluxe AP then pay $40 for entry when I really want the Premium anyway. Should I just save myself the trouble and wait to just get the Premium in a week or two? I'm really strict about my finances and usually act on things like this when I know I have the money. Sorry... I'm feeling rather indecisive at the moment

Well--glad you went for it. The costco deluxe pass deal has to be activated before July 5th if I recall. does anyone know for sure--because I don't want to lead someone astray. . . . . and I'm not sure if you can activate the site without an AP number --you might try a number on the printout and see if that works.

DebbieLouWho... yes i had a checking account at 15 or 16. My mother worked in a bank and she saw so many women who didn't know how to handle their money. She wanted to teach me about having responsibilities and monthly expenses.
So she opened an account for me..put 100 dollars in that i could Never touch and then each month she put in the amount of my ballet classes. I would write one check each month and give it to my ballet teacher. I learned how to balance a checkbook and how that bill had to be paid on time monthly. I also learned how fast money goes out of an account.
It was a wonderful life lesson.

Today my parents took our dogs for a walk and when they got home my little dog Belle got caught in her harness and she was screaming (seriously, this dog screams) and we had to cut the harness off of her. It's funny now, but man, that dog is so dramatic! Poor thing!

Yes! I was just trying to get an idea of the average AP rate at the GCH for the 2010 trip time. *EDIT: I know it'll be different next year but just an idea of what it was this year perhaps* My mom was wondering because if that's one of the options then we want to stay on property for some extra magical warm fuzzy feelings I think she's just curious because she needs to give my dad advance warning to get him used to the idea of the $$$

we came to celebrate my father in law's 78th birthday. my mother in law has alzhemiers.. and it's really bad. I took care of her all weekend so my father in law could have a break. i'm trying to get them to move near us so i can help daily with her. Unfortunately that would mean selling the family lake house and they are just not ready to do that. It's a challenging situation.
