Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

Since I already have enough airline mile for a free flight, it only makes sense for me to fly down.. by myself.. pick up my AP, get a good feel for things since we wont have been to Disneyland in 2 years or so.. and map out a game plan for what would work best for us. I mean.. It only makes sense, right? ;) Thats totally what I thought.
Makes perfect sense to me. :thumbsup2 Do you have any updated photos? I have some from the first trip in '08 but maybe you have a more recent one you prefer? We are trying to keep a gallery of photos on the front page.

Ventura County (Oxnard). So anyone coming on the 101 SB can pick me up!
Hmmm, I think Cristabel is in Ventura, but not sure.

Guess what everyone? I just talked my mom into joining us in 2010! She's so excited that she had to get off the phone with me and go tell my dad everything he'll be missing since he's not a diva and will have to stay in Indiana with the dogs
Awww, how cute! That's great! You'll be part of our mother/daughter club. :thumbsup2
My mom hates Disney. But I still like her. :rotfl:

I made some brownies, and now I have to try and not eat them all at once...they are warm and gooey and good! yum!

I hope everyone has had a great weekend. I've been rather ill and it's making me nervous about next weekend. :scared: Hopefully I'm not going to be slowing down the group.

Have a great evening everyone! And if anyone makes dinner, can you send some my way? Thank you very much! ;)
Oh man, that sucks. I'm sorry you are sick. Feel better. And dinner here is gonna be Taco Bell. Gotta love those 39 cent crunchy tacos. :lmao:

Yay new ladies for next years trip! :goodvibes

Hello Bridgette! :wave2: I'm 24 also. :upsidedow You're older then me by about 8 months. I'm happy that you and your mom are going to be joining us next year. :goodvibes

My friend Jessica said she's interested in joining us next year. :yay: She's a Disney fan too, and I hope she's able to make it. :cheer2:

Everyone looks like a model on the front page. I guess it's because you all were in a very happy place! :cutie:

I have a horrible headache so I think I'm gonna go lay down now.

Have a great evening everyone! And if anyone makes dinner, can you send some my way? Thank you very much! ;)

Nice to meet you Wendy! I hope you feel better and I'd bring you dinner if I could. Get some rest

I just looked at the photo of those jell-o shots.... I could go for 1 or... 6 right now. I have a busy next couple of weeks getting this semester finished! I'm twiddling my thumbs right now because it's raining outside and I can't do my photo shoots. Those lava coladas (or whatever they're called I can't remember) look amazing too! Just dreamin' of vacation!

Tell me about...I want Jell-O shots & Rasp vodka & 7 up!!

Hi nice to meetchya!
Cheryl makes THE BEST JELL-O SHOTS!!

I'll be sure to make extra--just for you. What flavor do ya want??????

The peach ones we so yummy!!!!!!

Okay, so I give up. I'm in this trip and I mean it. Hopefully school/work goes normal by that time next year. But as for now, I am in and I'm in for sure! :) :yay: :thumbsup2

YAY!!

Okay... I have a PLAN for the trip.. Just dont tell my husband. Yet. :rolleyes1 I am planning our family trip for about a week and half or two weeks after the ladies only trip. Since I already have enough airline mile for a free flight, it only makes sense for me to fly down.. by myself.. pick up my AP, get a good feel for things since we wont have been to Disneyland in 2 years or so.. and map out a game plan for what would work best for us. Good plan!

39 cent tacos!!

I have 1.19 tacos at my Taco Bell :sad2:

On another board, someone said that their 14-year old daughter has her own debit card and that it is quite common for teenagers to have their own debit cards these days.

Is this true????????

Cheryl, I have not heard of kids that age having debit cards. I know my son does not and neither do any of his friends (none of my friends would give their kids debit cards at that age ). In my experience, most kids get pocket money or allowance, but not "direct access" to an account - no matter how responsible they may seem....

Wendy, hope you feel better soon! Dinner has been a yummy red velvet cupcake!! This is my FIRST ever red velvet cupcake - mmmmmm :thumbsup2 They just opened up a Cupcakes (original name, yes???) close to home.

We have 99 cent tacos at Taco Bell here :thumbsup2

I like the potato thing with cheese & sour cream.

What is the potato thing with sour cream????

That's how it is around here. No kids have their own account with a debit card. Some have savings accounts, but no direct access to them. They get pocket money or allowence. DD is extremely responsible, but I would not give her a debit card. She gets money for things as she needs. Or if she wants something, she does "honey do lists" to earn them. Then I just buy it for her. No matter how responsible a child may seem, giving them access to a debit card is not a good idea. Look at how many college students get into problems when they get one. And they are older and wiser.

I find it hard to believe that its a thing that people give their kids debit cards. It is definately not the norm. No way is it widespread and a thing. Kids still have their money the old fashion way.

thanks girls! Theresa--I was especially interested in your take, because this lady on the other thread is from Canada so I thought maybe it was common up there (because it doesn't appear to be down here).

I never have told you girls MY hourly attorney rate . . . let's just say I could give a primo Vegas call girl a run for her money . . . . and wouldn't even have to take off my clothes!!! (which is probably a good thing!) :rotfl::rotfl:

Not with anyone I know, for sure. It just sounds like a recipe for disaster![/I]

Hey Hey, I was a new girl this year, and didn't get any extra made for me! I'll let you make up for it this year though. :thumbsup2
!

Yeah! Me too.;)

Tell me about...I want Jell-O shots & Rasp vodka & 7 up!!

Yeah, I'll have what Deb's having. Only with Diet 7 Up please!

(Wendy, hope you feel better)

Bridgette, I hear you. Brooks has a great rep for turning out working photographers with a solid training in craft.
4x5 with digital backs, that so cool.

(Deb, sorry to hear about your friend. I just missed a three car accident by seconds yesterday)

It's only on Sundays. A special deal they have right now.

I didn't see anyone being snippy or rude. I think it was just her stating a fact, like you did earlier.
Same here. I've never seen anyone on this thread be snippy or rude, even when there are times it's tempting, everyone has been nicer than they should ever have to be. You ladies are the best. Always remember that! :grouphug:

I know, but I won't tell you how. Well, maybe I will, but that will have to be story for June. :lmao:

My friend Stacie told me.

:rotfl:

I am sure she meant Stacielee ;)
