Flash Forward was good to although this time change is killing me.

I usually don't like to get sucked into tv shows becuase I don't always get to watch (and we don't have a DVR if you can believe it! I did in Denver but we don't have one here...yet. ) but I have to say I just love FlashForward! I was hooked from the first night and I was hoping they would continue this level of show and ABC has not disappointed me!

I hope you all have a good day and are as excited about the weekend as I am. Not that I have any plans, I'm just always excited for the weekend.

Hi Beth! I am looking forward to the weekend too! Not a lot of exciting things planned. We are going to a UCLA Engineer banquet tonight (sounds exciting, huh? ) Mr. CA's company is sponsoring a table and they invited UCLA Engineer Alums to attend so how could we pass up such an exciting offer?? We'll have other LHM employees, one of the UCLA students of Engineering, and a UCLA math professior sitting at our table, I think it will be a very quiet night for me as I won't have anything to talk about with these people. Maybe other wives/girlfrieds will be there...we'll see but it is at the The Beverly Wilshire so that should be fun.

Tomorrow we have a marching band competition in Santa Clarita and then Sunday I think it's a belated BD dinner for Mr. CA with his parents in Santa Monica. I really want to try to get a bike ride in on my new bike!! I haven't had a chance to ride it since I test rode it at the store.

Thanks for all the good thoughts.. i went in and the doctor did breathing treatments, gave me a strong shot of antibiotics and a mini iv pack because i had gotten dehydrated. I am feeling alot better. Still sick but able to stay awake. She said I have to stay in bed all weekend and do breathing treatments twice a day then come in monday for another lung xray.

Oh Dawn...lots of get well wishes coming your way. I'm sorry you are having so much trouble.

And yes, Deb is sick too! And poor Laurie's whole family was down with the swine flu. It's honestly been hard to keep up, there are so many ill right now.

The rest of the weekend sounds like a lot of fun, especially the dinner in Santa Monica. It's been forever since I've been to the pier there. We used to go all the time.

I'm glad to see Dawn is better, and hope she gets lots of rest this weekend. I hope Deb is feeling better also. I didn't know Laurie's family was sick. That's rough, I'd rather be sick then watch my babies be sick.

We had therapy this morning with a new behavior therapist (well she's been coming for a month.) She's really wonderful, and a blessing to us. Nathan is doing so well with some of the things she's implemented. I wish I could afford a full behavior therapy program, but she really gets a lot done in her two hours here. She's an answer to my prayers. God is good.

Asthma does add to even a common cold...I still have coughing attacks from my cold I caught in Denver. But then Mr. CA thinks I've been coughing a lot this whole past year since moving to CA and I do use my inhaler more frequently. I wonder if the foilage, air quality, etc may be the cause of it.

Cristabel - Sending good thoughts your way too that your asthma won't act up and that you can stay healthy to enjoy the holidays with your family.

I'll be in your neighborhood tomorrow, in Santa Clarita at Hart Rampage High School for a marching band competition. Last year when we were there it was rainy and freezing. I am hoping for better weather tomorrow. I think it'll be cooler but not rainy or freezing. I am such a whimp now when it comes to cold weather.

I'm thinking that maybe I need to clarify some stuff about my son. He can draw anything and paint anything very realistic. When I asked him to do this, I gave him my ideas and images from the internet. The castle, crown and the new one are all images off of the internet. The castle and the new modern one are real Disneyland logos. The castle is from 1960 I believe, and the new one on black is from 1956.
On the 1956 one, the only thing he did to it, was add the little Mickey ears to the flag and the crown.
The Princess crown image was actually a Disney pin that I thought was pretty.
When I gave him my ideas, I did kind of put him in a box, but I thought it would be neat to take an old image and update it to our needs. Drawing and designing art are a big part of his job at the moment. Anywhos, I just thought I'd clue you in.

So now I will add my comments to each t-shirt.
Please read carefully and try to imagine the embellishments.

The first and new one from 1956 happens to be my favorite for some reason. Maybe it is too modern for you, but I love that it was from an old logo. It also would be alot of fun to embellish. If we choose this one, this is what i would like do to it:

*On the crown, I would like to add red or clear crystal rhinestones at the points.
*On the sceptre I think it would be cool to add a big rhinestone at the top, like the real kings and queens had.
*On the turrets and one of the Mickeys I could add some glitter.
* Add some kind of flag charm to the top of the turret or something the arrows.
*I kind of like the black one the best, but the other with the shaded Mickey ears on a white tee is fine too.
*Derrick would make the font match the design. Something about incorporating the design into it. Like the arrow or flag woven in.


The second one is fairly simple:

*Add some glitter to each castle
*Or outline one of the castles in rhinestones too.
*The font would probably be the the good ole Disney one, that you see most of the time.
*It could be added on top of the castles.

The third one you need to imagine it outlined in silver glitter only. The blue is horrid and so is the image of the rhinestone Mickey head. The white would be gone too...so the color of the t-shirt would show through the outlines. Remember this was originally a pin.
So what would be done is this:

*Outline the scrolls in silver glitter.
*For the Mickey head, use clear small rhinestones, not 3 big honking ones.
* Use a pretty periwinkle blue, dark gray, lilac, or tealish color t-shirt. Silver glitter would show up really pretty on those colors.
* The font would probably be real scrolley like. You get my drift?

The last one I had him delete the Mickey ears, and just do the castle. This is the other original logo I found. He added a glow to it and put it on a purple tee, but that can change too.
For this one...

*Glitter all the light parts of the castle. Like they are glowing, or do opposite and glitter the shadows only.
* Glitter or rhinestone the fireworks or star like things.
*This one would also be pretty on a pale yellow tee, or even a tealish one.
* The font should be the old style Disney font that was used on the sign for years.

OK............you have heard all of my ideas.

One more thing I'd like you to think about, is what are we going to say this year. I for one, would like to keep it simple. Derrick even suggested putting DIS Divas on our sleeve or back.

He also thought that if you were to send a t-shirt to me, the printers should be able to do it up too. I will find that out for sure once we are all in agreement on the design.
