Dawn! :lmao: I'm feeling ya on the salad! :thumbsup2

Capri-That's a very good point about the Sunday T. I won't even be there Sunday, so won't even need that shirt!

Oh, and Beth, yes black is slimming. I'm not sure it will work for my figure by that point though! (21 weeks prego) :rotfl2:

Hey, did I miss something?? Are you prego Heather?? That is awesome! Geesh, I am so behind. I love all the designs.

Just a quick Hi to all.

I'm finally back home. :cool1: Hope you all have a nice evening and great weekend.

Hello my friends!
I'm still so behind, but I did skim over the last few pages and discovered Heather is preggo!!!! Congrats Heather! I'm so happy for you!!!

Just one more thought.........

Can you tell that I love glitter and rhinestones??:rolleyes1

Yuk yuk!! :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Oh, and if we get these done in plenty of time, I am more than willing and happy to do them up for everyone, in case you were wondering. :goodvibes

I think glitter and rhinestones look much better on a black background.
and white shirts get dirty really fast. Eating all that good food I'm bound to drip on myself ! LOL

Hey you! Actually, I guess it's now three shirts because there is also the tie dye t-shirt that everyone voted on a LOOOOOOOOOONG time ago :upsidedow
Youza!! Forgot about that one.
To be honest with you, I was kind of trying to not think about it. :rolleyes1 Either that, or make the tie dye really small somewhere on my shirt like Dawn suggested. I'm not really into tye dye, so I was going to try and make the best of it.

Same goes with my designs. I'm sure that some of you feel the same way about them. We will never all agree, but still try to agree. You know what I mean?

I have a couple of suggestions for the tees.

The pirate one could be made on bright pink or dark grey.

Or maybe my retro design could be made on another dark color.

Just food for thought.

Personally for myself, I don't mind two black tee shirts.

I have another thought.

3 new tees is quite a bit to buy. If we all do not want to buy 3 shirts, how about we pick our favorite 2 out of the three. I will be fine if not eveyone likes mine. No worries.

Just saying.

:thumbsup2 Good plan! And I agree, bling looks great on a black background ;)

I know, tie dye is not really my thing either, but I did manage to get a cute one (yay, Cassi :woohoo:) that I can handle wearing for the day :rotfl2: Did you see Stacielee's tie dye shirts? Very cute and not too hippy-ish (tie dye can be a little much, yes??!). I am a fan of the black t-shirts myself, so I would also go with black :thumbsup2 I'm good with whatever the group goes with. I really found last year that wearing matching colors at least was really helpful to point out other Divas, so I think it's an awesome idea.

Its been one long crazy week!

I am trying to catch up with everything, but damn, lots going on.

I love all the shirt designs. Would anyone be up for having the design on our backs instead of our fronts? Some of us are more ****alicious than others, and the designs get a bit distorted, or the twins get stared at for way to long. Just a thought.

And did I read correctly that we are doing two shirts?

Could we choose if we want the design on front or back? If it's chilly we'll have jackets on and no one will see the design.
Funny what you said about the distortion.:rotfl:
I've never had that problem.:sad2:

Well ladies,

Tomorrow I'm going to the LA Fashion Mart.
Have any of you ever been there?
It is quite interesting, let me tell you.
It's alot of fun, and so much to see and buy at unheard prices, buuuuuuutttt.............................................
the area is somewhat seedy if you know what I mean.
We are on the look out for some cool fabric for my DD's baby's room.
We keep hearing that we need to go there and check out this one fabric store there called Michael Levine's. But then all around this store are little vendors that sell everything in between.
I have a friend that goes there quite a bit. She has the neatest fabrics for baby blankets, and her DD jsut got married last summer, and the fabric she used for the bridesmaids were absolutely gorgeous. Stuff you just don't see in a Joanns. And at bargain prices!! :thumbsup2

THey also have vendors that sell jewelry, beads and rhinestones at wholesale prices. So guess what I'm going to buy? Ha ha! Even if I don't use them all, I still will be ahead of my home store prices.

Anyone have anything you want me to check out?

We will be gone all day. So once again, I have to face that stupid LA traffic. But at least someone else can drive. Woo hooo!

Have fun, Melody!! I won't drive in LA :scared1: No way, no how - just not happening. It's way too confusing for me.

Our friend took us to something like what you are going to in LA - I don't remember the name though - and we got tons of cool stuff. It's not in the best part of town though, but it was fine. I was with two guys, so it was all good :thumbsup2 Rhinestones - :cloud9:

I think wearing our two new "designer" tees would be better to wear before Sunday because aren't a lot of the ladies leaving on Sunday.....probably some even leaving Sunday morning? That way everyone has a full day of wearing the "fun" tees, and then the color-coordinated tees can fill in the rest of the days.
Yes, exactly. The new tees need to be worked in somewhere between Friday and Sunday. We can always drop one of the color days. It's not a big deal.

Hey you! Actually, I guess it's now three shirts because there is also the tie dye t-shirt that everyone voted on a LOOOOOOOOOONG time ago :upsidedow
Well, I don't really consider the tie dye a big deal. Simply because it's not something we have to vote on or agree on. LOL It can be any thing tie dye that anyone wants. The whole tee, a small image, whatever. kwim? It's not like the whole group will be matching.

Wouldn't it be funny if we took a pic with our back to the cameras!
Oh no! No backside pics for me please!!! :scared1: :lmao:

I was thinking, since most of the shirt designs are castle-y, maybe that would be a good one for Friday (princess day) and keep the pirate one for Saturday.
Those were my thoughts exactly.

We will never all agree, but still try to agree. You know what I mean?
YES! I do. Seriously we have a group of over 40 ladies. I'm sorry but not everyone is going to be happy with every little detail of the trip. Some things you just suck up and do 'em to be part of the fun. kwim?
It's one day, one week, one trip. I think we can all make exceptions for a little bit. I know I'm willing to be more go with the flow than I normally would be just because it's a group effort and I want to be part of this group. :thumbsup2

I'm sooo jealous, that sounds like my kind of place.

Have fun! I love fabric shopping and dreaming. The sewer in me is itching to get out right now. I love sewing for babies.

I wasn't meaning it was a big deal, just that we were getting tie dye t-shirts for one day.

Welcome home Steph!!

How did everything go?

How did the wardrobe go?

Hi Mel!

I passed my class. :thumbsup2 It was extremely difficult for me. After taking my last test I called Josh on the verge of tears as I thought I failed the test (had that happened I would have had to take the course again.:sad2:). The next day I found out I passed and was extremely happy to say the least.

As for the clothes I bought a pair of khakis, a pair of black dress pants, and a nice pair of black jeans. I found a few nice sweaters and short sleeve collared shirts. I felt comfortable for the most part in what I purchased. I know I have a long way to go in this area. I booked marked all of the sites you wonderful friends posted for me. :grouphug: And I will take you all up on the offer to assist me when the time comes to tranisition my clothes from uniform to business attire.

Steph

I've been twice. I love it there, Santee Alley is fun. sure gets crowded though. Have fun !

Well I've only driven by the vendors on my way to the big LA mart for gift shows. I remember thinking WOW!

This friend of mine will go there all by herself, but she also is the type that is not scared of anything and has a no nonsense personality. If anyone tried to do anything to her, she'd probably bob them right back!!

Oh I know. I just don't even think about the tie dye since that's the easy one. The other's take more work and planning, kwim? But yes, technically we have 3 new tees. ::yes::

Good evening!

I just wanted to wish Amy a Happy birthday! I know it's only 11:36pm but I'm going to be out and about tomorrow and I gotta make sure I tell her.

Steph... yeahhhhh.. you are back and you passed! We missed you! Just remember when creating your work wardrobe..you are building another uniform collection, just in another palette. I bet you looked great!

Carol... oohh i am so sorry you and your daughter have asthma! You know it's so hard to explain it to people that have never had it. It is scary, I mean, what's worse than simply not being able to breathe? I've had years when i've ended up in the hospital like your daughter.. but the last two years I've been healthy..so this has made me really sad. I hope you and your daughter stay healthy this year!

Theresa.. miss blingey blinG... hey we could start a club, The Sisterhood of the Bling.

Beth.... I agree. Not everyone is going to like everything but just adapt it so it works for you. Plus the fun comes in when you see how everyone took a uniform design and made it there own.

Melody... have fun tomorrow!!! I can't wait to here how it went and what you got.

Heather.. aaahhh It's that nesting thing kicking in.

So when are we going to do Heather's babyshower? We should plan it like I did my mom's at Storytellers and that way we can order a cake through Disney. I mean that was a beautiful cake and the cost was only $50 dollars.

Tina... Howya doin'?:goodvibes

Cristabel.. that was thoughtful of You.

HappppppppppppppppY Birthday to AmySue..may this year be good to and for you!:wizard:
