Hello!
It's late and I have work at 6am. I forgot my cell phone in my car at the metrolink station. I also remembered seeing a sign saying "No parking 2am-5am" :scared1: I hope nothing happens to my car... I parked on the outskirts of the parking lot so hopefully it won't be too big of a deal. The train ride was LONG but because I queued up episodes of The Big Bang Theory and spent most of my time cracking up :lmao:

The pacific surfliner is such a nice train! I felt like I was on a airplane with seat trays and a food trolley. I hope I get to ride it again on the way back.

Off to bed! I'm starting to feel my allergies acting up :headache:

Then on Sunday we have tickets to see Disney Live on Stage at The Orleans. I am not exactly sure what to expect, but I hope we will all have fun!

Sorry, I couldn't resist...you can expect a strong aroma of diapers. It just goes with the audience. KWIM?
Last time I went we had nose bleed seats and darn if my little stinker did not manage to roll down over two rolls of seats before he stopped. I thought he was going to go right over the edge. I will never take that level again!

Morning Divas and happy Saturday!

Cheryl I hope your lunch went ok and it wasn't too awkward. I hate situations like that! I hope you were able to at least enjoy your lunch and find a way to get around the situation.

Mel I hope your daughter is ok. Well by praying for her!! Have fun in Vegas!! I am so jealous! You deserve a nice break though after the week you had!!

Jane what a nightmare. I don't envy you having to work with the greek system. I imagine it can be fun but also a major pain in the butt when you have to deal with situations such as those. Glad it is seeming to get resolved! Can't wait to see you guys in a couple weeks! :)

Stacie post pics of your new hair!! :) We want to see it! ;)

As for me I went to my apt and after filling out TONS of paperwork I went in and met the PA and he was nice enough but just like I thought he had some of his own ideas about my meds. He tried to tell me that not having a period was not good even though I have had several other docs including an ob tell me it was ok to do this and I have done TONS of research on it. He told me I needed to take a break every 3 months which is NOT what the other docs told me NOR what the research has said. I told him that I get SEVERE migraines and what was I supposed to do about THAT and he didn't have much advice and was like well you can't NOT have a period just because of a little headache. And I was like OBVIOUSLY you don't understand how severe these headaches are. They are life altering, debilitating. I can't leave my house, in bed, throwing up etc etc. So I am not going to go by what he says since I have talked to SEVERAL other docs about it. I know what I need to do. Then I needed a refill of my pills as I had ONE left. Usually I get a refill for a whole year and it just HAPPENED to be my one year mark ironically so he only gives me 2 flippin refills. Then when I got to the pharmacy they were the WRONG pills and the pharmacist was like they don't make these anymore. Luckily my other doc had given me a 6 month refill JUST before this all happened so she was able to refill THAT scrip. So that stressed me out a little bit but hopefully this isn't going to be a problem!

He did refill my blood pressure meds but again for only 2 months and that is something I take EVERY month so I don't know why he didn't give me a longer scrip and he refilled my bladder meds but ONLY for one month so I need to get in to see my uro before the scrip expires to get more of that but I need to go see him anyway.

I haven't seen the actual doctor yet so I am going to reserve judgment till I meet him. But he also wanted to change my anxiety meds which were prescribed by my psychiatrist so I don't know if I agree with that but who knows.

Anyway then I went to the pharmacy to fill all the scrips and eventhough my ins lady had called with all the numbers (I don't have my new cards yet) they didn't work. SOOO I had to wait while they called Western Health and it did finally go through but then like I said the bc pills weren't right but luckily she was able to use the old scrip. So it was a LONG drawn out ordeal like I was afraid it was going to be but the only GOOD thing was it was at Walgreens so I was able to pick up one of those mickey ghosts and pumpkins! :)

Anyway then I finally got home and was able to relax and then last night we just got papa murphys pizza and watched our CSI tivo, Ghost Whisperer and Monsters v. Aliens which was really cute!

So now today we have the soccer game and then it's relax time!

Hope everyone has a great day today and is doing something fun! :)

Good morning ladies!!

Melody, I'm so sorry to hear Kaitlyn possibly has swine flu. I will say a prayer for her quick recovery.

Cheryl, hope your lunch went ok!

Jane, we definitely need to do lunch. We miss you! Have fun at the Disney show.

Kelly, hope the new doc turns out ok. I hate all that paperwork. Ugh.

Cristabel, that train really is nice. Great views!

I hope you all have a great day today!! I have no clue what plans are on tap for us today, but it's all good. I'm just happy it's the weekend. :goodvibes

TTYL!

Good Morning Ladies!!!

I have an exciting day of laundry ahead of me.:laundy:

I am so excited for my trip to Pasadena. Is it sad, that I trying to figure out if I can fit a day trip to DL:rolleyes1

Beth- what is that name of the hotel that you like in Pismo?

Finally.......... please tell me that I am not the only person addicted to Sorority Life on facebook?????

Evening ladies.

Cheryl, I hope things went ok with your friend today.

He said all of her symptoms sound like the Swine flu. :sad2: So she just took her first dose of Tamiflu. I'd appreciate all of your prayers and thoughts. Thanks.

Melody

Things went pretty well at lunch until about the last 10 minutes. Then she started crying :sad1: I just don't know what to say to make her feel better. She kinda has backed herself into a corner by getting comfortable in a very limiting job for several years--so even though she's been out of law school for several years she doesn't have the skill set for an attorney with her years of experience that others have. Plus she only knows one narrow thing--very hard to transition to another position. I threw out a few suggestions and none seemed to be helpful. I think she really was hoping that I would ask her to work with me but I had slipped in earlier that my business is somewhat down (it is) and that Brandy comes in on an "as-needed" basis and right now that's all I need.

Mel: I hope Kaitlyn doesn't have swine flu, but if she does at least it's now and not three weeks from now and from what I've heard many cases are pretty mild. A friend went on the Orange county Health dept's web site and it said that 100% of the flu cases tested turned out to be swine flu so it's out there for sure.

Suggestion to those coming to the mini-meet--bring the industrial size hand sanitizer and use it liberally!

Hi girls

This has been a crazy week. Jordan has been home all week with the flu.
Kaeleb was home two days with a cough & now he has a fever.
I hope they start feeling better soon.

Mel~ I hope your DD starts feeling better soon.

Kel~ What a PITA....I hope it all gets worked out soon.

Cheryl~ Hi glad your lunch went a little better than expected.

Cristobel~ Have a good day at work.

Beth~ Hi

Jane~ Have a great time at the Disney show.

I hope everyone has a great day.
I am doing homework all day. I have a micro test on Thursday morning.

Thanks for your well wishes ladies.

When I had talked to our doctor last night, I mentioned that Becky my oldest DD who is pregnant was exposed to Kaitlyn the night before she became ill. So this morning Becky calls me and says, "Guess who called me this morning at 8:00?" Dr Foxe called me she says. He was concerned about me, and called a prescription for Tamiflu me too." So now she is taking it once a day, until it is gone. I tell you, he is the best doctor around. So then I am now concerned for my Mom who saw Kaitlyn that night before also. So I call back the doctor, and they are not concerned about her. Apparently the elderly and on down to about the birth year of 1957, have more immunities and should not be affected. Go figure that? It's the young who are at risk, especially the pregnant ladies. Very scary stuff for them. 1 in 3 die from the swine flu. Becky is around kids all day long teaching. Not good! :sad2:

Cheryl, I am so glad that Kaitlyn has it now verses later this month. Thank goodness for that! :thumbsup2 Now I just hope that Dave and I don't come down with it sometime this week. Otherwise we have to kiss our Vegas trip goodbye! :sad1:

I'm also sorry that your friend is having such a hard time. It sounds like you were able to say very nicely that you don't need anyone at the moment. Still I'm sure you feel very bad for her. Must be hard. :guilty:

Jane, have fun at the Disney show!

Cristabel, I've been on that train. It is a nice ride isn't it?

Deb, Have you called the doctor about your kids? I bet they have the swine flu too. My doc said to make sure to keep the fever around 100 or lower, drink plenty of fluids and make sure that they are not laboring on their breathing.

The kids went to the dr. its just the flu not the swine flu.
My friend her kids have the swine flu.

I hope you and Dave stay healthy so you can make your trip.

Since I know she's around here....Stacerita, what on earth is happening with your signature????

Your post caught my eye as I prepared to post that...

"especially the pregnant ladies. Very scary stuff for them. 1 in 3 die from the swine flu."

OK, it's not that bad. :) You make it sound like 1/3 of pregnant women will die from it. Remember, it's a very small sample size at this point, and since I continue to hear about docs who REFUSE to actually do the tests to find out what sort of flu it is, I would say it's unknown what the women who have died actually died from.

Now, obviously she feels that the risks are worth it, but just in case she does not KNOW that there are risks, http://www.tamiflu.com/sideeffects.aspx

When I took medicine for newly-diagnosed asthma while pregnant, I read all the side effects of the drug, and knew what I might encounter. Thankfully I wasn't diagnosed until the 2nd tri, and after that the risks of things (where cleft palate is actually *mild*, compared to the other awful problems they've seen increase with it) decrease, but at least I had the knowledge. That's the only way to make an informed decision.

But still, what's up with Stacerita's signature????

What are you seeing wrong with her signature? The inappropriate graphics thing? That's been there for a LOOOOOOOOOONG time. It may have had something to do with support for a certain type of dance.....;) and someone was way oversensitive about it.

Or if it's something else you're noticing - it's totally her fault :rotfl:

Stacie's signature looks fine to me.

I hear what you are saying about the swine flu Molly. Apparently he feels this was pretty important for her to do. My SIL who is a nurse, had a very healthy pregnant women die of the swine flu. That is what is so scary about it. Now the doctor did tell me that most non pregnant patients get over just like any normal flu. The ones with other problems such as asthma, and so on are the ones who seem to have the most problems. Pregnant ladies are on that risk list. He must feel the benefits of Tamiflu outweigh the risks.

Hi!

Just stopping in for a minute.

Mel - I hope your daughter recovers quickly and that you and the rest of your family stay healthy

Kelly - I hope everything works out with your new doc and new insurance

Cheryl - Sorry about that situation with your friend.

Stacielee - I hope you and your dh have a great time at WDW.

:grouphug: for all those in need now.

We got back about an hour ago from out trip. We took the kids to see Disney Princesses on Ice. The show was amazing. It was 2 hours including a 15 minute intermission. They had Jasmine, Belle, Mulan, Aurora, Snow White, Aurora, Ariel, and Cinderella. They each had some characters from their movies too. Josh was happy to see Grumpy (w/ the other dwarfs). Also Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Tinkerbell made appearances. Selena asked if we were going to get to meet them. I felt bad when I had to tell her no :sad2:. All of the kids stayed awake for the whole show. I was worried since it started at 730pm they're normally asleep by 830pm at the latest. The girls loved all of the show and Rhys loved the music with the lighting. He really likes the music from Little Einsteins so the way they orchestrated the music for the show was perfect for him. He kept saying "I hear (fill in the blank). The smiles on their faces were priceless.

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!:goodvibes

Just stopping in to say hi!
My Dh and I went to Seattle overnight to see Wicked. What an amazing show! Brad had bought me tickets for our anniversary and booked a great hotel right downtown so we also did a lot of shopping. The next morning we did an underground tour in the old part of town that was really good. The only small hiccup in our plan was that we missed our 4yr old get his first award in Kindergarten. He got a certificate for being a good friend! There's a little girl in his class who doesn't speak and he plays with her everyday and says he loves her. So cute, I'm so proud of him!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Angie

P.S. Melody, I hope your daughter is feeling better and the rest of the family stays healthy.

Sounds like many Divas are having fun adventures this weekend!

We just got home from seeing Toy Story in 3-D. As I expected Ty started to get restless about 15 minutes before the first one ended so we left before Toy Story 2 started. However, if any of you get the opportunity to go during the extremely limited run (only playing for 2 weeks) I highly recommend it! I saw Toy Story the weekend that it opened way back in the day and I have watched it many, many times on DVD, but it was amazing to see it on the big screen again and the 3-D adds such depth to the movie that all of the little details totally pop.

Angie - I have done that Seattle Underground Tour a couple of times and I love it! Wicked is great, I saw it last year.

I am looking forward to Toy Story 3D too. That is one of Bryan's favorites so I am hoping to see it with him although he said he might see it with some of his friends. We finally found a used car for him today to replace the one that got wrecked last month. What is it with all of these car accident problems lately? It seems like we have a large number per capita in the Diva group. :confused3

Kelly - sorry to hear about all of your doctor/insurance problems. Sometimes I wonder if dealing with insurance companies wasn't so difficult, we wouldn't need the anxiety medication! We have to deal with them from both sides because DH is a health provider. Not fun!

Have a great night. I am off to do insurance billing. :badpc:

Beth- what is that name of the hotel that you like in Pismo?
It's Pismo Lighthouse Suites. Great hotel!! We got the family room, two room suite with two bathrooms. http://www.pismolighthousesuites.com/

I agree. Stay safe everyone!!

Hi Angie!
I just wanted to say that we have done the Underground Tour in Seattle, too and really enjoyed it. The Space Needle, Pike's Place and that tour were the highlights of our week there. Glad you enjoyed Wicked but sorry you missed your baby's award. It's ok, he will get plenty others with a compassionate heart like that!:)

We went to the $2 movie theater tonight and saw "The Hangover". OMG, we laughed so hard! And don't think we didn't have a hot dog, popcorn and diet coke for dinner. And we got frozen yogurt on the way home at 9 pm! Having a glass of wine now and not surprised my tummy is reeking havoc on me right now.:rolleyes1
