Heather: I am so glad you had a great birthday! Did you happen to take a pic of the "new" toilet? Someone on another site wants pics. Don't ask me why--I have no idea.

Shoot! No, I didn't, and I have to correct myself. It was the right stall in the women's bathroom. You can tell them though that it looks like every other industrial toilet in DLR. White hanging off the wall, no lid, and the front of the seat is open. Just an average boring white toilet.

I hope that helps them!

Sounds like everyone had a great time at DL this weekend! I so wish that I could have been there, but alas I still have 11 long days to get through before we head to Anaheim. Heather, sorry about the lack of writing pens, but did Club 33 have the pins in stock this time (fingers crossed)?

Kelly and Amy, I hope that your pain subsides soon and that you both will be feeling better in no time!

Theresa, I love the shirt, please send me a PM.

Everyone else, I hope that your week is off to a great start, especially to all of you that are sending the kids back to school today. Today is the first day of classes here on campus, and it's a mad house!!! I only have a couple of meetings scheduled, but it looks like it's gonna be a non-stop kinda day, or week for that matter!

Double Shoot! I stood at that cabinet thinking for 15 minutes, and I forgot completely that you wanted a pin. The next time I go, I will get you one. I promise! I won't forget now. :flower3:

OH, and Vicki! That was so sweet of Mr CA to do all of that for you and for me. I love my scarf, and knowing all the effort put into it makes it even more special. Thanks again, and thank Mr. CA for me.

I forgot to mention that I did see Tina's boyfriend once. He was great as ever, and danced the 'Puddle Prance' for us. lol. I think I might have a cruxh on him now. I stayed afterwards to get a picture with him, but he didn't come back out and mingle. Next time...

Oh my. Now we're going to have a three-way girlfight!

Heather - so glad you had such a special time for your birthday in Disneyland! Everything sounds awesome :thumbsup2 I just can't wait to go back!!

Kelly - I'm so sorry about all the pain you're going through. Hopefully they can get that under control ASAP

Happy Monday, beautiful Divas!!

Hi girls
Kelly I hope you start feeling better soon.
Heather it sounds like you had an amazing birthday weekend.

Hi to the newbies.

It has been pretty busy around my house. I have been alone all week and so I was busy throwing old stuff of the kids out and then I got sick so ugh...this sore throat business is not FUN!!

Just got off the phone with "Jessica" at HoJo's (Jen does not work there anymore, Lorealle not available) - she was terrific. Was not sure it would be available BUT :woohoo: booked "premium room in building one with a Disney view", Feb 25 for 5 ngts!! She did add a managers note that I have MS and will be assigned a 7th fl room (b/c it has a skylight?) and a room without a tree completely blocking the room for light (MS effects my eyes and this will help - am blessed no HC room required. MS mostly effects me cognitively). Last time at HoJo those trees looked pretty tall, so not sure if a room without a tree blocking it exists.;)

Have the ET rate of $79 per ngt plus tx - will need to find an ET book before Feb.:thumbsup2
Thank you, Beth, for all your help! You're a peach!

OMG, I am SO EXCITED!!! :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:

Hey Cassi :wave2::wave2: Welcome to the other side of the boards ;) You really should think about doing a girls only trip to DL - fun times!

Janelle - this is a pic of the shirt I'm getting from Cassi from Etsy:

chocolateMickeytiedye.jpg

I love it because it's not in your face tie dye and very cute!! I'm getting a scoop neck t-shirt though, not the V-neck. I know I did get one other tie dye Mickey head shirt, but a Diva should have options, yes???!!
Thanks! I am so tickled you guys like the shirts! The more I think about it the more I am convincing myself I need to come with you guys sometime soon! I have my Disney Travel agent license, which should get me a decent deal on a hotel down there- Hmmmmmm..... when is the spring trip? March?

Yes, you need to come :thumbsup2 It's from Feb 25-March 2 - plenty of time to plan. Most of us are staying at the Hojo (Howard Johnson) across the street and they have a fab Entertainment Card rate for all but one of our nights of $79/night premium room and I believe $69/night in building 2.

How did you get your Disney Travel agent license and do you get great discounts to WDW too???

I called about 30 mins ago and was able to get the ET rate for all 5 ngts! Must have opened up.

Wanted to mention it in case someone wants to call to try for ET rate the other night.:thumbsup2

Theresa, would love the details on hoew to order the T. Thank you!:flower3:

Hi ladies!!!! Hope everyone's Monday is going well!!!

Not a dang thing new is going on with me. But it is sunny outside! :yay:

We stayed in room 705, and it was great! 7th floor, direct view of the Matterhorn, CA Screamin', and the fun wheel. We also had a great view of Castaway Cove. It was an ideal spot. There were two tall pine trees that framed the Matterhorn, and I can see how they might block the view in other rooms. I think you will love the Hojo!

Heather

Sounds perfect, Heather!

And belated Happy Birthday (again ;) ) Sounds like you had a very special time at DL with everyone!

p.s. we stayed at HoJo in 1996 - seems like a hundred yrs ago - do they still use the trolley as a DL Shuttle? My Godson LOVED breakfast at Mimi's.

Well, they aren't GREAT discounts :headache: hahahahahaha! Sometimes I am better off using my AP to get a rate, honestly! I got my license through a travel agency- and honestly, mainly did it to help get myself, friends and family better deals on vacation! haha! I am not means any kind of agent of the year with my sales, since making tie dye takes up almost all of my time (and pays better!)! But it is nice to have access to the booking system- since I am everyones "go to" person for WDW vacations! But, I seriously know nothing about DLR!

For example- how do you get to your hotel from the airport, and what airport do you guys fly into? At WDW they come pick us up!

I am going to talk to DBF tonight and see how he feels about me going solo- I have a friend who is a CM at WDW who says she will come along as well! :thumbsup2

Hi, ladies.
My first day at CSUF was over about an hour ago. It went rather smoothly and I was even able to fit in time to wait in line to see a FA adviser. She says my money should be disbursed pretty soon. I hope it's sooner rather than later! I don't have grocery money

I'm quite excited because I'm going to see my family on Thursday. I do miss them but I'm not homesick. I know we will actually be happy to see each other :rotfl:I will finally get my computer on Thursday! Yay for steady internet use :thumbsup2 Since the computer is only $379, I'm hoping to convince my dad to buy me an iPod.

Would be great to have you join us! I haven't been to DL in 13 years, but know the airports have shuttles - we always took Super Shuttle. I've been thinking about SNA (John Wayne Airport in Orange County) - smaller, much easier than crazy LAX, but not all airlines fly into SNA. (Just checked the site and many major airlines do fly into SNA). :)

Why is it called SNA instead of JWA? Or maybe both?:confused3

I was also going to post some of the same questions:

1.Which airport is best to fly into
2.Any shuttle recommendations?
3.Best way/time to buy DL tkts and how many days?

TIA! :flower3:

Around the time of our trips, Disneyland has usually run the "Buy 3 days get 2 days free" and that has worked out for some of the ladies. I also know that most plan on returning within a year so they go ahead and get an annual pass.

I don't know anything about flying to Disneyland as I have always driven. Sorry!

My gosh, "Buy 3 days get 2 days free" would be perfect!

Lucky you...driving to DL....sigh...we could do that when we lived in Oxnard...but that was a hundred years ago.;)

Your first official day is done!!:woohoo: Fingers crossed & loads of dust for the FA funds to come through ASAP. :goodvibes

I have no problem sharing. :littleangel:

Good for you! Doesn't having a room reservation make it seem more "real" ?

You should definitely come!

I fly into John Wayne or Long Beach. Both are very, very easy, and are close to DLR.

We usually take a cab to and from the airport, for about $40-45 each way. I know a lot of people also use Super Shuttle.

Cristabel--I'm glad your first day went well and that you are getting your computer! :flower3:

Hello all. The girls just got home from school a bit ago so I had to go over all that first day paperwork and wanted to check my e-mails while I was up.

Thank you SO much to all my friends. You are all so wonderful for your thoughts and prayers! I called my neurologist and spoke with the nurse about cancelling my apt for thurs and asked if he could just renew my scrips as that's all this apt was for anyway but she never called me back to say that was ok so I guess I will just wait and see and if I don't hear anything I will call back.

Then I called my surgeon and he said that the suppositories for the inflmation that the ER doc gave me have steroids and that they would NOT help and to not use them. Plus I have to be REAL careful with the laxatives/stool softeners that I am using so as not to "overdo". So we discussed all that but he said as far as the swelling and pain to just keep taking my pain meds and that swelling is all part of the process. He said he wished there was something he could give me but it is just part of it unfortunately and time is the only thing that will heal it. The sitz baths give a "little" relief but other than that not much else. So it wasn't very encouraging.

I did go with the girls to drop them off and hobbled around and they switched Katy's teacher on her. She was a little upset but she was happy after school today. I think the girls are going to like their teachers and their classes. They put Katy in another combo class. This time a 4th/5th combo but I think it will be ok.

Anyway I gotta run cuz I can't sit too long but thanks so much for all the well wishes!!

Take care!

Haven't read back yet, so I hope everyone is doing well. Things have been a bit hectic around here. I hurt my back/hip and its really making things difficult. I go to the docs at the end of the week.

Sorry to hear that you still are not feeling well.

It was great to see you Friday morning. I forgot to mention that in my post.

We ran into Stacie while waiting line for Alice. She was coming off. It was great to see her, and meet her daughter and niece (?). They looked like they were having lots of fun. It's great to have diva friends everywhere you go! :goodvibes
