I can't wait until I get my laptop this week!

To Amy, Stacie, Katie, Steph, Linda, Cheryl, Theresa, Beth, Melody, Dawn, Miss Sally and Sarah:

All I can say is thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU! That was THE best surprise ever!:grouphug: I really had no clue so Amy and Cheryl were amazing at keeping this great big wonderful secret from me this whole time.:worship: I'm not the emotional sort (I rarely cry..unless frustrated) but let me just tell you, I was so GIDDY! It felt like I was on cloud 9! I'm so blessed and I won't let any of you down. I'm going for the 4.0 :thumbsup2

We had a great time at DL and DCA. I didn't mind not riding much because I was just so happy and content being IN Disneyland with some of my great friends. I can't wait until the October meet so I can give you all great big humongous hugs!

I'm kinda tired today so I was glad I was able to sleep in until 10.
I'm getting kind of hungry so I think I'll be stopping by Chipotle before going to church this evening.

 Your welcome!

Sounds like you all had a great time at DL/DCA.

I love Chipotle, just wish the kids would try it. We had chocolate chip pancakes, turkey bacon and potatoes o'brien for dinner (it's our Sunday tradition).

Hoping everything is alright with Kelly, January, Kate. They haven't been here in some time.

I hope you all had a great weekend!

What a wonderful and thoughtful gift! What lovely Divas we have here! Enjoy Cristabel! And go for that 4.0! I myself never did get that in college, but heck, somebody's got to! :rotfl:

Hi all Divas! I'm back after a fabulous three days at DL with Heather, the longest I have ever spent in DL. I haven't been able to read much on the boards between that and my Canadian trip (which was great and easy), but I caught up on the last six pages. I've missed you all.

I think the only way I'd even consider visiting another country is with someone who lived there and knew the ins and outs, as well as the language. But that's just me.

Beth, that is a wonderful way to see a new country. :thumbsup2 I think especially for anyone who is new and a bit nervous about traveling, that's the best way to get the lay of the land.

I'm so sorry Melody about your terrible experience (with so many negatives including the unfortunate timing), but while it was all too real for you, it is not typical. I used to be afraid of travel when I was a teen but since then I've had the good fortune to see many countries and it is the most eye-opening, wonderful experience.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, MELODY!
:yay:
Just got back from the specialist and I have an abscess!
.

Kelly, thinking of you. I hope this brings you a lot of relief and soon.:wizard:

Dawn: Start saving your money! I agree about liking having a future trip to plan for...this should be a good one!

Mel: Oh my! What a scary experience! I can understand your reluctance to travel abroad, but I hope that you will venture overseas because travel can be so much fun.
!

:thumbsup2

Courtney, my condolences.

AmySue, I hope all is well. I just got the tail end of news of a surgery for you...:wizard:

Hi to everyone else!! (what adorable twins)

I will let the birthday girl do the talking about the details of our wonderful time at DL! Re: last night, it was so nice to have a tableful of divas - :grouphug:- great to see Cristabel, Vicki, Linda, Stacielee and her daughter and Cheryl as we sat ourdoors in the summer night and dined on Italian food. The time flew by though and between eating and watching the magical ELP, my only regret is that there was hardly enough time to really talk to everyone.

Heather and I were on our third and last DL day and as Cheryl aptly noticed, totally exhausted by then. I definitely felt like something the cat dragged out, as my mom used to say. The humidity was awful on Saturday and we had been there since 8 AM. We drove back at 1:20 AM! It was the most hours I have ever been in the park in my life but so much fun.

I'm warding off a little cold today. but figure it will not last long. Like the ads say, the experience was priceless. :cutie:

What a wonderful and thoughtful gift! What lovely Divas we have here! Enjoy Cristabel! And go for that 4.0! I myself never did get that in college, but heck, somebody's got to! :rotfl:

Oh, I totally agree. What a great surprise. You gals are just all so lovely. And certainly well deserved Cristabel. You go girl!

Thank you so much Heather and Donna for taking time out to get me the Celiac dining options. That will be so helpful in making PS for our trip! I am so glad to hear that your birthday weekend was wonderful!

Sending get well wishes to AmySue and Kelly. Take good care ladies.

Hello all and thanks so much to those who have been asking about me. I am only on NOW because it is my girls first day of school and I forced myself out of bed so I could take pics and ride with my mom to drop them off. They said there may be a change in class assignments so I am going to "attempt" to hobble in to the gym and make sure their classes are the same.

Just to recap what happened I went in on Thurs and things actually weren't TOO bad at first. The surgery center was linked to the hospital but not in the actual hospital or at least not the part where we were so my mom could not go in the back with me like Shane did when I had my bladder surgery at the other hospital. I went in the back and they hooked me up to the IV's and all and surprisingly, unlike my last surgery, things went fairly quickly. It is a real mill there I think! I wasn't there long at all before they were taking me back. In fact they gave me the anesthesia shot as they were wheeling me to the OR and last thing I remember was looking at the operating table when I was on the gurney as I was about to get on it. When I woke up though things were a LOT different! I was in a TON of pain and I didn't have anyone there with me. Shane was with me in recovery the last time but I was all alone. She asked me about my pain and gave me a morphine shot. I was shaking uncontrollably and told her it was 10+ so after a few minutes she gave me some more. After several of those she gave me a demerol shot and that finally stopped the shakes and then I finally had to take some oral vicodin. They did give me Zofran but when I got up to go pee I instantly got sick and started throwing up so they gave me a reglin shot. I was having a REALLY hard time passing urine so they had to give me a catheter and the stupid lady didn't do it right and had to redo it like 4 times. That felt REAL good let me tell you. They kept saying they couldn't let me leave till my pain was under control and until I could pee. Well they only got a few cc's of urine through the cath but I guess that was enough although they told me if I wanted they would admit me since I wasn't doing very well.

I SHOULD have let them admit me but like an idiot I went home. I then spent the next few nights in MAJOR pain and was unable to pee or poop for a few days and basically I ended up back in the ER yesterday. When the doc examined me I have NEVER felt so much pain. I thought the exam I had BEFORE the surgery was bad. OH MY GOD that was the worst pain I think I have ever felt. Thank god shane was there because I had to bury my head in his shirt and I still screamed so loud I think they probably heard me 2 streets away. They gave me ANOTHER catheter but I couldn't tolerate it so it turned out on top of everything I had developed a UTI. So they gave me a BIG shot of Delauded and then another small one before the pain even began to subside. Needless to say I am in a TON of pain and have no idea if or when this is going to end. I am just WAITING till 9 so I can call my doc and ask about something for all this swelling cuz I am just miserable!

Anyway sorry for all the gross TMI etc but I know that people were curious. I am going BACK to bed after this and don't know when I'll be on again but thanks SO much for caring! It means a lot!

Oh Kelly! I am so sorry to hear about your continuing suffering. My gosh, I hope that you will get some relief soon! Major prayers coming your way, and pixie dust too, just in case that helps.:hug:Tracey

Cristabel - Glad you liked your surprise! Can't wait to see the pictures of you receiving your gift!

Hey Cassi :wave2::wave2: Welcome to the other side of the boards ;) You really should think about doing a girls only trip to DL - fun times!

Janelle - this is a pic of the shirt I'm getting from Cassi from Etsy:

chocolateMickeytiedye.jpg

I love it because it's not in your face tie dye and very cute!! I'm getting a scoop neck t-shirt though, not the V-neck. I know I did get one other tie dye Mickey head shirt, but a Diva should have options, yes???!!

Love that shirt! I need to get one of those!

Hi girls! It's been a busy couple of days . . . . Mom came Friday and we went out to Chinese pretty late, came home and went to bed.

Got up at 6:30 the next morning and prepared the batter for popovers, then her caregiver came at 8:30 and some friends arrived at 9 a.m. for brunch of popovers, strawberry butter, fruit and chicken/apple sausage (and LOTS of coffee). Linda (aka lulubelle) arrived around 11 a.m. and ate some brunch and we talked until about noon--then everyone but Linda left and I scurried about getting ready to go to DL!

Linda and I left at 1 p.m. and met Cristabel in the Esplanade. Some of us went together and bought her a Costco Deluxe pass as a late graduation/welcome to college gift! AmySue brought up the idea a couple of weeks ago and she and I have been plotting! It was hard keeping one step ahead of Cristabel and keeping her from going out and buying her pass--I had to keep coming up with bigger and bigger fibs! AmySue performed brilliantly!

Linda and I had the pleasure of presenting her with the pass--she was really surprised (I have pics I will post later). I know she's happy to be able to go to DLR for the next year!

So we entered DL and went on Pirates, HM and then hit Hungry Bear for a late lunch. (We weren't eating until after 7 p.m. otherwise) We then went on Pooh, looked around Pooh Corner and then Linda and Cristabel went on Indy while I had a bottle of water and chilled. It was very warm and HUMID. When they got off we went over to DCA and tried to go on Monsters, Inc., but the line was like 20 minutes long and it wasn't worth it to us. So we went to the Animation Academy and drew Mickey Mouse (Cristabel did the best--mine looked like Mickey was on steroids!)

Then we stopped in the Off the Page store for a little bit and then went to the It's Tough to Be a Bug! show. Always love that show. By then it was 6:55 p.m. so we headed over to Wine Country Trattoria. Stacielee and her daughter Allyson were waiting and said that Heather, Donna and Vicki had gone to use fastpasses for Soarin! So we checked in while we waited for them and they came just after we were seated--we got the primo location on the patio next to the wall so we could see the Electrical Parade--it was PERFECT. We couldn't have planned it better.

The parade was very nice--Heather had not seen it since she was 5~~!

There were a few new floats (including Tinkerbelle) so that was fun for me even though I have seen ELP many times. We also overheard a CM tell the next table was that the rumor was it would move back to Main Street next year. Keep your fingers crossed!

After the parade--I think Heather, Donna, Vicki and Vicki's Mr. California and his son (who stopped by a couple of times to say hi) were hanging around. The rumor was that Murphy the dragon was going to make a F! appearance so they might have headed over there--Linda left to beat the fireworks crowd and after a pit stop so did Stacielee, Allyson and I (I was riding back with them). We made it to the tram stop just as the fireworks were ending so got right on the second tram and were on the road. We had to take Allyson to Biola College where stacielee's other daughter was and then we came back home to rescue Bella from the horror of being in the kitchen. She was VERY happy to see us and seemed particularly happy to chew on stacie's toes (it's one of her obsessions). We sat out on the deck for a few minutes chatting and decompressing and then went to bed around midnight. We both slept in, then ate leftover brunch yummies from yesterday and she left about an hour ago to go take the girls to lunch and then drive home to Arizona.

So, that was my weekend--very fun to see many of the DisDivas, celebrate Heather's birthday (I'll let her tell you all about everything she did--but it was fab) and to present Ms. Cristabel with her present! And to enjoy DL (even though it was a lot more humid than I would like).

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend--has anyone heard from Kelly?

I always love staying with Cheryl! She is so sweet, and Bella is quite the character!! Thank you so much for letting me stay with you again, I'm sure it won't be the last time!

It was lots of fun getting together with everyone, even though we didn't have a lot of time! Allyson and I did manage to go on Toy Story, Screamin, Maliboomer (which I will NOT do again!), Jelly Fish and the Golden Zephyr. Then checked out the Blue Sky Cellar and had dinner with everyone. Perfect seats! And I do like the Tinkerbell float, it's very pretty!

Hope everyone is having a great day, and lots of hugs going out to Kelly! :grouphug:

Good Morning!

I had the best time this past weekend at Disneyland with Donna, and then meeting up with Cheryl, Linda, Cristabel, Vicki (and Bob and son!), Stacie(lee), and Allyson. It was so great to see all of them again. The food was wonderful, the Magicale was even better, and the ELP was the best! I had not seen it since I was 5 so Cheryl was kind enough to give up her front row seat so that I could see it well. It was as fabulous as I remember.

I was surprised with a few gifts, and they were all very generous! Vicki gave me a beautiful pink scarf with Thumper on it. I love Thumper!! Cheryl and Linda both gave me Disney money which I bought the cutest Mickey Sleepshirt with. Really cute! Stacie and Allyson gave me a copy of their Disney music collection. I love them all so much. It was over 22 CDs! Donna was really generous to me and gave me a Fantasmic! dessert seating along with a gift bag full of sweet gifts that I love. I was very spoiled on this trip, and it was one of my best birthday's ever!

Some highlights:

F! dessert seating-Front row seats, and great snacks. I cried at the end when Mickey start conducting the fireworks. It was such a great time, even without the dragon. ;)

Lunch at BB-Waterside seating, and great food. The short ribs were to die for! They gave me a special birthday mousse. Very good!

Dinner at the Napa Rose Chef's Counter- Donna has pictures of the food if you're interested. We sat right up front where we could watch the chefs and ask them questions. Andrew (executive chef) came over and offered to make us our own tasting menu. Long story short, we ended up with 7 courses for the price of 4, and of course I had 7 glasses of wine to go with it! :scared1: It was to die for good, and I walked out of there feeling like a celebrity they treated us so well. :goodvibes

Lunch at Club 33-Wonderful as always. Donna and our waitress Angela sang 'Happy Birthday' to me. I had the lamb this time and it was really good! ***Breaking News*** The woman's bathroom was missing one of the special thrones. The stall on the left has a normal very ugly white throne. I asked what happened to the nice one, and didn't get a straight answer. I did however get locked into the new companion bathroom with Donna though! It was very nice. I did make a mistake and told Donna to wait until dinner was over to buy our stuff. While we were eating, they sold out of the writing pen, and we both wanted one. I hope Donna forgives me.:flower3:

I already mentioned our dinner with the Divas. I was told 'Happy Birthday' by dozens of strangers, and scored the best I ever had on Buzz. I even hit the little black dot on his chest a few times!

Also, what happened to the pirate that hung his leg over the bridge on Pirates of the Caribbean? I always enjoyed looking at his dirty, hairy foot and leg! :confused3

I finally got to see Aladdin! It was wonderful! I also drew Dopey at Animation, and the animator gave me his copy of dopey for my birthday. That was fun. My Dopey is puffy like he's been on steroids for a week or so though. :)

We went back to Donna's house Sunday morning, and she was so gracious to me! She let me sleep in until 10ish, and then we had a nice lunch while watching an old Disneyland special. Her house is wonderful, and full of treasures from her world travels. Thank you so much Donna for you hospitality! princess:

I hope I didn't forget anything! Touring around the park Sat night with Vicki and her family was wonderful! I really enjoyed doing Indy (my continued favorite!) with them as my last ride. What a wonderful family, thank you so much Vicki and Bob for you care concern for me. Also, to Donna for putting up with my heat flashes and her care and concern. I would get so hot at times, and feel like I was going to burst into flames...not fun! We were all hot and miserable at times though.

What a great birthday!

Good morning!

Kelly - You poor thing - I really hope you get some relief soon!! Sending good thoughts your way!

I second everyone's posts about Sat. Mr. CA and DS decided to come with me to keep me company on my drive to DL and then they came and went while I was enjoying my time with the Divas. We had a really nice time at dinner and it went way to fast. I was lucky to be able to spend some time with Donna and Heather earlier in the day and to be able to ride TSM with everyone including Stacie. Stacie gave us a quick hints and tips session in line and then I rode with Heather and she gave me more hints...but still I only scored 118,000...no matter what I score on that ride I still have a great time and I'll never be a high scorer! It was great meeting Diva's that I had not met before, Stacie (lee) and Cristobel!

I have to tell you I had the hardest time picking out Heather's BD gift! I had texted Donna earlier in the day to find out what Heather's favorite characters were and she said Bambie and Thumper so when I got to DD I went straight for WOD and found a really cute Thumper scarf so I bought that after about 20 min. deliberation. Then when I was walking out I saw the cute pink polka dot bag with a half eaten Mickey Bar which I had and thought well maybe she would like that better so after about 10 min. of would she rather have this or the scarf I went and exchanged the scarf for the bag…good I was set, or I thought! I then met up with Donna and Heather and Donna tells me while Heather was not paying attention that Heather has that same bag but in the locker at DL. Oh no! I then whispered to Donna that I had just bought that for Heather for her BD gift. Heather then sees us whispering and asks if we are talking about her…well NO! but yes it did have to do with her. So I am kicking myself for not going with my first purchase. So while we were at dinner I asked my very sweet Mr. CA to please go and exchange the bag for the scarf, luckily or not so lucky for him he was with me when I was trying to figure out what to buy so he knew which scarf to get. We then sent him also to get Donna’s jacket out of her locker and to get Indy fast passes for him and DS if they wanted to join Heather and I since Heather and Donna had already gotten Indy FP earlier in the day and Donna was giving me hers. So before Heather had opened her BD goodies Mr. CA had made it back to DCA to deliver gift and Donna’s things. He is a trooper! While I am having a great time with the Diva’s drinking Magical and eating yummy food he is running all over to help me out…Donna thinks he is a keeper and I could not agree more!

After dinner Donna, Heather, Mr CA and DS went back to DL to try to catch the elusive dragon if he was going to make an apperance at Fantasmic but he did not show is scary self that night as rumored so we went on HM and then we went with Heather on Indy since Donna had ridden her one and only time that trip. We love Indy so we were happy to keep Heather company and it was fun spending more time with her!

I hope everyone’s week is off to a good start with school and work and vacation! School starts here on Wed. so we’ll be back into the routine if there is such a thing around here. My ‘summer’ vacation will start the day school starts! LOL! All I’ll say is it has been a challenging summer having the kids with us 24/7.

:grouphug: to everyone!

Heather: I am so glad you had a great birthday! Did you happen to take a pic of the "new" toilet? Someone on another site wants pics. Don't ask me why--I have no idea.

Sounds like everyone had a great time at DL this weekend! I so wish that I could have been there, but alas I still have 11 long days to get through before we head to Anaheim. Heather, sorry about the lack of writing pens, but did Club 33 have the pins in stock this time (fingers crossed)?

Kelly and Amy, I hope that your pain subsides soon and that you both will be feeling better in no time!

Theresa, I love the shirt, please send me a PM.

Everyone else, I hope that your week is off to a great start, especially to all of you that are sending the kids back to school today. Today is the first day of classes here on campus, and it's a mad house!!! I only have a couple of meetings scheduled, but it looks like it's gonna be a non-stop kinda day, or week for that matter!

Morning ladies!! My kids are all off at school for the first day back and it is SO quiet here. Weird.
Anyway.

KELLY ~ OMG, you poor thing. I am so sorry for all the suffering you went through and are still going through. I will say a prayer for you that you can find some relief. I cannot even imagine being in that much pain. Hang in there hon.

HEATHER ~ Wow, your birthday sounds amazing!!! Lucky girl. :yay: I'm happy for you. Truly you deserved to have such a special day. :wizard:
Of course reading all that made me even more bummed that I won't get to celebrate my b-day at Disney, but I'm trying not to think about that! :sad1:

JANE ~ Good luck with all the back to school madness!

VICKI, DONNA, STACIE and CHERYL ~ I'm glad y'all got to meet up with so many others and had such a nice time. :goodvibes

I hope everyone has a wonderful day today. TTYL! :)

Hi girls! I'm just checking in real quick on my way out the door.

Kelly--my gosh, woman. I hope you were able to see your doc today, and you get relief ASAP!

Heather--Sounds like you had the most perfect birthday ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everybody else--Hello!

Mornin Ladies!

Wow, It sounds like so many had a wonderful weekend. :goodvibes Loved the trip reports.

Dave and I celebrated at a lovely place in Cambria. We had a room with an oceanfront view on Moonstone Beach. Such a relaxing time. Just what we needed. :cloud9:

Kelly, Things have to get better soon. Take care!

Beth, Just think about all of the things you can get done now. I said that to hopefully make you feel better.

Wendy, Good to see you around again.:goodvibes

I wonder how Dawn is? I know she was going to have a hard week. :guilty:

My grandson is here on my lap. He is requesting smilies. So here goes.

Good Morning!

Oh, Kelly - how awful. I too hope you were able to talk with or see the doc this morning and get some relief.

What a wonderful weekend at DL for so many...so happy you had a great time..and what a fabulous birthday, Heather!

Beth ~ Waaay back in old days ;) I remember the mixed feelings I had when my munchkins went back to school - the house seemed so empty, almost too quiet...but then I enjoyed the time to get things done.

Mel, my grandbaby is asleep on my bed as I type and I can hardly wait until she is old enough to request smiley's - how sweet!! Her first birthday is coming up soon. How the time flies.

AmySue, hope you are doing well today and pain free.

Hope it is a good day for everyone! :grouphug:

(Making a HoJo ressie for the Girls Only Trip as soon as DGB is up and playing up!:woohoo: )
