Hello Friends!
I just got back from getting my hair cut and colored!!! Unfortunately with the predicted weather, my hair will most likely be in a pony tail the whole trip. Oh well.

I bet it's beautiful. You'll have to show it off before putting it up.

It's raining.......has been for the last hour or 2. But its super light, kind of just a heavy sprinkle.

For those driving.......drive careful. Us Southern Californian's don't drive well when it rains

I think I am finally done packing. All this stuff you'd think I'm going away for a week. Wait! It is five nights/six days, so it is almost a week!

Yeah for all those already there and anxiously awaiting until the rest of us are.

My packing is almost done but I realized that my makeup bag is still sitting on my desk at work. Dave being the absolutely sweetie that he is has offered to go pick it up and I graciously accepted since it's a 45 minute roundtrip journey.

So, Ty and I are watching an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Poor kid got a black eye at school today when he and some friends were playing with big plastic dinosaurs and Ty accidentally got hit. Luckily it just missed his acutal eye, bu he has a major bruise, but according to the reports from his teachers he totally played it up and got some of his little girlfriends to kiss his ouchie this afternoon--my little lothario!

Anyhow, as soon as Dave's home I'm working my way towards an early bedtime as I am used to sleeping half of the trip to DL, and I figure that Beth would prefer it if I'm awake

Just now almost caved and went to check airfare (not sure where the $ would come from), then remembered that Robert's going on a business trip on the 26th, so I'd have had to bring E along, and that just wouldn't work! (that and having no hotel room and no tickets, you know, the little things)

UGH! Found out today I have a huge department head meeting tomorrow. Last Friday, the walked out the CEO and agreed to accept his resignation. So the meeting tomorrow will be with the head of the corporation and the acting CEO. Not looking forward to it. Now that is gonna suck up tons of my time when I really wanted to get in, get my stuff done, and get out. Who knows whats going on now.

And the rumors at work are that I am a corporate spy. How funny is that? Since I am new, don't spend time hanging out in the cafeteria gossiping, and the fact that I had a meeting with the VP of the company the night before the CEO was walked out has the gossip mill running wild. My assistant thinks its hiliarous. So do I.

I just hope the meeting goes smooth tomorrow, the new leadership tells us the plan, and we all go back to work. I don't want drama or a long dragged out meeting.

I went to Target this evening and bought some rainboots. They don't seem to smell, just a little like a vinyl tablecloth. I've been wearing them around the house to see how they'll do. My heels seem to slide up and down a bit so I might end up wearing 2 pair of socks. Other than that they feel fine. Of course outside on hard ground will be completely different. I might just bring my fake Uggs into the park and stash in a locker just in case the boots get uncomfortable.
