Girls Only~ OLD THREAD, new one linked in first post

If I ever go to WDW (and I do hope SOMEDAY I will). I want to stay at the Poly. But I will have to strike it rich or hit the lotto (which I never play) in order to afford that. Right now WDW is a big dream that seems unreachable. Seems silly that we can afford 10 days in Maui, but not a trip to WDW. :(

Was your trip to Maui really cheaper than going to WDW? Wow! I imagine the budget buster is the airfare for 5, right?
You are an expert planner so I'm sure you've checked the deals and such. I know you can get some awesome deals - like 40% off deluxe. And during value season that can really bring the price down. Beach/Yacht Club and BWI are a little cheaper than POLY. And WL and AKL are significantly cheaper.
Although I really enjoyed the POLY when I was there last month I'm looking forward to staying at an EPCOT resort in Nov. EPCOT is awesome and it's so cool to be able to walk to DHS and EPCOT! :thumbsup2

Anyway - you'll get there some day! :thumbsup2

Aren't there irons in the rooms? Hopefully Heather and I are doing our shirts when she gets here next Wednesday, then off to see Mary Poppins!! And eat at the Cheesecake Factory!! Can't wait!!!! :yay::yay::yay:

SO Jealous! I want to see Mary Poppins!! (I can do without Cheesecake Factory though.) Have fun! :woohoo:

So if that holds true, then we'll need to be there pretty early on Friday. A little before 9 anyway.

So if the park opens at 8, and people want to be at PFF by 9, we might have time to do Cap'n EO, right? Heather and I were going to try and leave the room to walk over at 7:15. At least there's no MM that day.

Just had a thought, if it happens to rain on Friday afternoon what happens to Carnation Cafe dinner? Do they stay open in the rain? I don't think the umbrellas keep the whole area dry.

I don't iron either. Kerry, Donna, and Vicki saw that!!

I think I'm going to need to change my candy selection that I picked for the candy buffet. I can NOT find candy buttons (on the paper) ANYWHERE (except online, too late for that). I'll PM you tomorrow Cristabel.

So PFF does NOT open at the same time as the park does? I don't want to be at PFF all alone super early at opening.

Looks like it. Well, for those who can make it to the park right at 8. LOL
I think I might still plan on a late night viewing OR just walk over after we all do the Small World ride. I know my butt won't be out of bed and showered in time to make the morning viewing.

In the rain, they close. That's why when you make a reservation there they ask for a number where you can be reached that day, so they can call you and let you know if it's closing.
I guess if it rains, and it's closed we'll need a plan B. Something indoors. Not many choices really....... Hopefully it won't be necessary. :wizard:

Daisy, not sure about the price difference for an AP. I'm sure it's the same. Why don't you wait and upgrade while you are here. :thumbsup2 Then you can decide what's best for the rest of your family. Will this be their first time to DL?

I went ahead and got the the 5 day purchased and we will have a few days to figure things out. For all of us to fly out there it is over $1100 on Southwest. I will have hubby check things out. And yes, it would be their first time coming to Disneyland!! Meghan would be so excited to see the other castle! She is my princess loving girl. We have Hilton points that we could use for the hotel? And maybe do some other things in the area? Would be a lot of fun, just not sure about the budget.

Yay for Mary Poppins and the Cheesecake Factory :woohoo: Have fun. I think that's a great way to start the trip for you :thumbsup2

No, I don't think they stay open in the rain. I vote for Plan B to go to Plaza Inn - no ressies required and right by CC :thumbsup2

You won't be alone, Courtney - I'm heading right there at opening (not getting side-tracked by Peter Pan again.... no how, no way :rolleyes1)

Yes! It is quite unbelievable but true! :rotfl:

DH and I saw Shutter Island today. Now I am doing some trip stuff, getting our door poster together.

Oh, and I found the rain jacket! It had fallen halfway down in between clothes, you know? So I would now like the prediction for rain on Friday and Saturday to go away please.
:cutie:

Tossing this out there....for those interested and have never been before. I am able to take a few people to Company D, which is about 3-5 min from Hojo (by car). I can try to do a trip over there each day if needed, it will just have to fit in around everything already scheduled, as well as their hours. I'll have to check their hours next week but it is usually 8-8.
I'm thinking possibly Thurs between POTC and the M&G, Fri before lunch, Sat - not sure depending on work, Sun morning.
I can fit 3 in my car at a time, and if anybody who is going has a car, we could take a few more.

Just got home from my third 12+ hour workday in a row and am once again exhausted! However, our conference went very well and we had over 300 students attend. Also, our new sorority that was starting this week got over 80 women to join and I had a lot of fun stopping by their bid day event, so it was a good day overall.

Tomorrow is the normal race from Gymboree to swim lessons and I need to hit the outlets to look for a pair of wellies or other waterproof type shoe as I have nothing appropriate for a rainy day since I am officially a desert rat that lives in flip flops, ballet flats and Uggs.

I have to review 20 resumes on Sunday afternoon and hopefully I can get a little more work caught up that day so that I can leave work at a semi decent time Mon-Wed.

Oh, and Jill--I would love to visit Company D since I've never been there before, so please count me in!

That is so nice of you to offer Jill! I PM'd you, and would love to go if there is a spot available. :goodvibes

I'm glad you had a good day even though it was long Jane! I have to work 3 12's in a row next week before I leave town. I'm not looking forward to it.

I'm having trouble finding my candy also. It was everywhere last fall, and now, no where!

I know!!:lmao::rotfl:

Wow, fun day! AmySue and I had a fun time shopping and got new shoes for the trip. :) I also found a pair of orange power panties. :) Woo Hooo!

Looking forward to seeing you! :cool1:

Yes UoP learning teams can be a detriment, but if you get a good one, those friendships can last forever. :dance3:
I'd love to go to Mickey's breakfast (thanks for adding me) :thanks:
I've been, but if there's room I'd love to tag along to CoD. :wizard:

Less than a week!
Chris

I already Pm'd, but I fear Jill is going to find the response is overwhelming..I too would love to go to company D.

I leave Sunday...so would be happy to part of a group going Sunday?

Thanks for offering...but don't be so generous that that is all that you do Jill!!!!
