Girls Only~ OLD THREAD, new one linked in first post

Good Morning!

I had a great time on my first Diva trip and can't wait to join you all again! The Meet and Greet, Scavenger Hunt and Heather's shower were all fun, thanks to everyone involved in planning them.

Angie,

Is that a new tag?

Good morning everyone and I just wanted to say on behalf of mom and I THANK YOU to everyone that had a part in putting on this awesome event!!

Everything was done wonderfully and I know how much work and effort goes into this and it was MUCH appreciated by us and Barb as well.

We had a blast at the meet and greet as well as the scavy hunt and Courtney you can tell your mom that we really enjoyed meeting her and spending time with her!! She is a lot of fun!

I think some of the highlights for me were the M&G, the house of blues and seeing Sara sing on stage, she is awesome by the way!!, dinner at Napa Rose and of course going to Chris's villa! And again Thank you so much Chris for the wonderful hospitality!!!

Mom REALLY enjoyed meeting you and wants to talk with you again! She really hit it off with you! ;)

We enjoyed everything and esp the times that we hung with some of the smaller groups, Stacielee, Sara, Daisy etc. It was just awesome all the way round and the only regret I have is that I wasn't able to see everyone more!

I have MOUNTAINS of laundry to do and unpacking but I just wanted to say how much fun I had and how great it was and can't wait till next year!!!

The six remaining Divas have just finished breakfast at Mimi's. Time to go check out and get our flights/train/car home. Talk to you all when we are back in our respective homes!

Good morning!
It's weird being back in my apt and I wish I wasn't because it's a mess! I left in a flurry on Thursday so everything is everywhere!

Thanks to the time change in Calcutta, my body woke me up at 6:30am, then 8:30am, but I made myself stay in bed until 9:30am :lmao:

I have to go shower and get ready for class at 11:30am. Boooo!

I'm pooped.

Happy Birthday, Donna, Theresea and Angie!! Fun that you all have the same birthday! pixiedust:

Hey ladies. I was walking past the castle on Saturday and saw your group - looks like you were getting ready to take a photo. I yelled out "yeah Disboards" and a few of you heard. Sounds like you all had a great time.

So when does the planning start for next year? I'm ready !!!

Happy Birthday to the Birthday Divas
:bday:

Hello,

I just wanted to say that I am glad that I got to meet some of you on Saturday at the Jazz Kitchen dinner. I was afraid I would be unable to make it but luckily I was able to rearrange things.

This was my first time dining at Jazz Kitchen. I had fun chatting with people and took some pics to share with you guys (which I will try to upload later tonight).

I'm sorry if I didn't have a chance to talk to all of you. Maybe the next trip I will be able to. :goodvibes Hopefully I will get to post and chat with you all more on this thread. :cutie:

BTW- I had a chance to hang out with Sarah and Trudi at the animation building in DCA. We got to draw Donald Duck :)

Hey all my Diva friends! Got home at midnight last night. Whew! What an awesome trip! With the exception of completely losing my voice the entire weekend, I had a great time hanging with my old friends and meeting a lot of new ones. Thanks so much to Tina and Donna for adopting me most of the weekend and listening to me honk.

Only had a couple minutes to scroll through the last few pages. Hoping someone will forward me the shutterfly account info to me so I can see pics (since I forgot my camera at home, I didn't get to take a single shot!) :(

Looking forward to reading some trip reports and seeing more pics! Love ya, Ladies! :grouphug:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LADIES!!

I got home around 10:45 last night. I was so tired.

I was up and out the door by 7:45 AM for school.
I am beat.

I had such a great weekend! Thanks girls for inviting me to Calcutta!
Thanks to everyone for creating such a fabulous weekend.

Cheryl~ I will be checking around for that bowling trophy for Okra.
Trudy~ That is such a great picture of my dinner! They are so yummy!
I only wish I could have shared them with Tracey again!

AmynotsoweepychickenbonesOkraSue~ I am glad you are coming back next year. It's a big park, you can stay clear of rif raf or use your rather stellar chicken deboning skills...........:rotfl2:

ANGIE I love your new tag!! Although some didn't find it funny, I did!!!!!!!

I still need to add my pics to the Shutterfly account and Photopass, although I don't have many of either. BUT... I do have a video of SarahMay singing on stage, solo, at HOB! She is a GREAT singer!! Who knew?? And then another one of her dancing!! I'll get those loaded today or tomorrow.

Here's something I read on Micechat today, some of you may have already read it:
It was from a series of discussions springing from that decree from John Lasseter that the plan to mothball the Electrical Parade until after the World of Color crowds die down and the Buena Vista Street construction is finished in 2012 recently came about. The newly lengthened DCA parade route in 2012 will require some modifications to not only the existing floats themselves, but possibly to the dance routines and staffing of any current parade.

So earlier this winter the WDW executives in Orlando made a pitch to borrow the Electrical Parade for a bargain price during that period and use it to try and duplicate the success Disneyland had last summer with the Nightastic! promotion. The Anaheim executives are insisting that Orlando only gets the parade for just under two years, and the current agreement has the parade being shipped back to Disneyland just after Easter vacation of 2012.

Apparently Walt Disney World is rather infamous amongst Anaheim Cast Members for not maintaining their attractions, equipment and facilities to Disneyland standards, and the Anaheim entertainment team is rather nervous about sending their newly refurbished floats out to Florida. But at least the plan frees up some storage space for them as the DCA float warehouse get reworked during the Cars Land construction.

Also, registration for MouseAdventure will be Tuesday, March 16. I'm going to sign up for a team of 4, and then see who wants to go. I'm not sure if both of my DDs are going, but they may. If anyone else is signing up, we should get together before/after the event!!

Afternoon gals! Just wanted to say Happy Happy Birthday to Donna, Theresa, Angie and anyone else I may have missed! That is so cool that so many have birthdays during this time!!

And I forgot to add for the gals from Monday tht we were with I'm sorry we never made it back to Pizza Port to say goodbye. I know I had told some of you that Barb never really wanted to go on any rides and up till that point I think we had ridden all of about 2 rides with the exception of the few that we did with Sara, Stacie and Daisy at Ca Adv on Sunday so we REALLY wanted to get into DL and do some since it was our last day. We had wanted to hang with the group but you all were doing Aladdin and I think DCA that day and we had already pretty much done that park. We had hoped to meet back up and say goodbye at Pizza Port but mom had gotten a NASTY cold and I had been having some stomach issues from something I ate on Saturday so between the two of us we just didn't feel too hot. We did a few rides but never did use the several fast passes we had acquired from DL the entire weekend. We never rode ANY of the moutains but we DID make it back to see billy!!! :) We did buzz and I got 250,000 my highest score!!! But it was only 4 something and we weren't really hungry and we were REALLY tired so we decided we better just head to the monorail and get going.

We had to get back to PP and get all our junk and get a cab to the airport but it ended up that it didn't take that long at ALL and then our plane only had 30 people on it and got in 15 minutes early! Our luggage was waiting for us when we got there and my dad wasn't even there yet!! Mom and I determined that next year we are just going to stay the extra night and leave FIRST thing the next morning.

But anyway again we had a GREAT time and loved visiting with those we did and next year I only hope I can visit with more people!

Shane has been really sick and now Shelby came home early from school sick so they won't be going to the last basketball practice tonight. I still don't feel well either so we are all just going to hunker down and watch AI and Lost. Tomorrow is picture day at school and it is raining so THAT should be interesting LOL. I just hope the girls don't look like ragamuffins.

Have a great day everyone and OH could I get the shutterfly info? I seemed to have misplaced it.

Thanks!
