I do too! I remember we'd go on weekends or in the afternoon after the kids were out of school. Those were good times.

I might try that. I was trying to talk DH into doing the Doo Dah parade with me and a bunch of people from the Renaissance Faire, but I might need Disney more!

I hope you get to meet up with them! I'm sure they are going to have a blast.
I thought the Doo Dah parade was sometime in November. Is that the one in Pasadena?

Just a quick by to say

I had a drs appt this morning. I slipped on the ice and twisted my knee 2 wks ago. Well they did an xray, there is, well he thinks there is fluid on my knee and that I may have torn my ACL or PCL or MCL or all of the above. Yay me!
So I have an MRI on Monday to make sure. But luckily the ole knee is still in place. Just hurtin like a well ya know...

Oh Debra, that sucks. I don't even know what those things are but tearing anything can't be good!! I hope they can figure it out soon and take care of it for you so you aren't in anymore pain.

I didn't watch the State of the State address, but I do know things are bad here. It's just so depressing. I hope it doesn't end up affecting you.

Unfortunately, it's going to affect me--that is a fact of life. My operating/programming budget will be cut for sure, it's just a matter of how much.

But, as long as Dave and I both still have jobs once the politicians have figured out what they are doing with the budget, I will be okay. And, the potential 6% salary cut sucks, but we will be able to live with it--although I may have to either give up the APs or at least make fewer or shorter trips to DL next year. Being an adult is no fun sometime!!!

Well, at least those are the park hours I was given when I called. I'm sure they are subject to change, but it helps give us a general idea of what's what.

True 'nuf! I felt like a little kid again when I was pregnant with Ty, 'cause it felt like I couldn't do anything fun!

We found out that Cricket's litter-mate runs agility and we will get to talk with the handler/owner tomorrow. I've already emailed the breeder and have found out that Cricket was groomed for a year to be a show dog, then she was sold and kept for 5 months where she may have been abused by the man in the house.

She obviously has a lot to overcome, but we are encouraged at her potential and the possibility of learning more about her history. In the meantime we are showering her with love and affection and trying our best to make her feel confident and secure here with us.

Poor doggie.

And thank goodness she found people who will try to help her. My BIL and his ex partner rescued a daschund that was being abused by children living at the condo community the ex partner managed. But they never helped the dog work it through AT ALL. The dog was petrified to the point of attacking of small children AND people with high voices. When I visited I had to keep my voice low (which makes it almost sultry I've heard) instead of my normal pipsqueak. That was OK, but then DS arrived and we just had to stop visiting. I coudln't deal with that little weiner dog trying to attack both of us especially since all responsibility was put on me, and his owners didn't try to help him through his trauma at all. Poor dog.

I will be very close to DL tomorrow. DBF and I and a bunch of our other friends will be at Angeles Stadium (just a little bit down Katella) for the Supercross. I wish I had an Annual Pass, I'd stop by for a bit in the morning. The races start at 7:00pm but we always get there early to BBQ and hang out in the parking lot before hand.

Sounds like it's time to GET one of them there annual passes....don't know where Palmdale is but if it's inside the proper zip codes you can buy a one-day one-park, then upgrade to the lowest so cal AP and upgrade once more for the trip (to a deluxe if you don't want any of the trip blocked out ... I noticed that both of the so cal APs have the Sat blocked out)...or do the monthly payment plan....

Though Napa Rose, did find me a really nice Gewurtstraminer for me on New Years, best part it was non-alcoholic, but it didn't just taste like grape juice, it was very wine like!!

Anyway, even though I am not 100% sure I'm going, I am still in full planning mode and I was looking at our schedule.
Low and behold, I noticed we don't have a dinner planned for Sunday night.

Now, that afternoon is the Wine Country Trattoria and the Club 33 meals, so I'm guessing people won't be starving.
Soooooooooo........I was thinking doing the bar that night would be perfect. And a nice way to spend our last night in the parks. Chillin with some appetizers, drinks and good friends.

Does this sound of interest to anyone??
