Girls Only Disneyland Trip - Old Thread

Bonnie Hunt is the ONLY thing that's OK for me in the movie, b/c she's trying to talk some sense into her sister! And I love her anyway, love her voice. I've tried to watch it a few times, but it just makes me twitch.

I should probably mention that I also hate It's A Wonderful Life...I see it as a movie about spousal and child abuse, rather than how most people see it. His apologies at the end are nice, but they likely won't last...the sequel would show him back to his screaming at his family...


There are reasons I'm not a film critic....


Though actually there's a film critic in our local paper who is very useful, in that if he despises a movie, I'll love it, and vice versa. I could be like him.


It makes sense to return the bluray since you don't have any HD TVs. And yes they are going down in price, most definitely (as are LCD TVs!).

I'm finally official! My mom has decided that she'd like to go on the girls trip, so I've booked plane tickets and a room at Hojos, all in about 10 minutes!

I've been lurking about a bit, not wanting to make any real decisions, since I wasn't 100% sure I was going, so now I've got to play catch up.

I'm hoping to get the two of us into the Storytellers Breakfast and the Carnation Cafe Dinner. Should I PM those in charge of these meal?

We also want to do the DVC tour, so I'll PM Cheryl about that.

We're also in for the Pizza Party and I think the Scavenger Hunt, if there is still room.

I'm so excited to finally be confirmed, and I can't wait to meet you all!!

I REALLY want to. It would only be like for a day though, because I don't know if I could afford a hotel. That would be A LOT of driving for one day.

Stacerita did the character breakfast reservation so we'll have to see if she has room on that.

The Carnation Cafe is booked already as well, but once I get Tracey's reservation list (she was making her own) I think we will have duplicates and that will free up some room. I'll PM you to let you know for sure.

Beth, I don't know which threads you mean, but sometimes I start reading one and it's hard to not get caught up in it. I have to stop myself sometimes and say "don't even go there, you will regret it". Was it on the DL board? We're usually pretty laid back and non judgemental over here.

No comment. LOL It wasn't about me personally anyway, but I feel badly for some people.
The WDW planning board is much more harsh. I used to hang out there when I lived in MI and we were planning WDW trips. They will jump all over anyone who refills mugs, pool hops, or wears slippers and pajama pants to the food court for breakfast. LOL It gets scary over there.

Ok I'm back from work and I haven't read the posts yet but I tried on the shirt and it is snug but it is the "fitted" tee so that is to be expected I guess. And whoever said they are thin is right! If we go on any water rides. WOWZA!! But anyway I had to take this pic myself using my timer but here is my pic

Thanks Beth. Ok I'm all caught up. You guys didn't talk TOO much! Thank goodness. Mom and I talked at lunch and as I said I got her shirt all ordered so that is one less thing. And we looked at airfare again and discussed shuttles. She is leaving for Mexico next Wed and won't get back till the 26th so she wants to leave her cc with me so that if the prices go down I can just buy her ticket. She was thinking that we should maybe fly back out of LAX too but I convinced her otherwise. There WAS an 8:30 flight out of OC but they eliminated it so now it looks like we are going to have to leave on the 7:30. Which means we will probably have to be at the airport at 5:30 so the shuttle will probably want to pick us up around 4:30. So we won't have a whole lot of time on Sunday but so be it. They did have a 9:30 flight on Sunday but she didn't want to get back so late. Plus she wanted to see about an 8ish flight out of LAX but I told her it would end up being the same once you figured in the extra drive time etc.

So hopefully the prices will go down on the LAX leg in the next few weeks so I can get my tickets bought and then once she gets back we can get hopping on our totes. Then hopefully I think that should be everything.

Of course then the first week of February I have to start calling and making my ADRS for my April trip. CRAZY!!

But I am SO ready!

I am getting really excited. Getting the shirt today made it one more step closer. And things have been SO dang depressing with Shane's stupid job and the economy and just everything that I am SO glad I have this to look forward to! I am so glad that I have this board and you guys too! This place and you guys really cheer me up!

I don't like being able to see my skin through it. BLEH! And you can def see my fat rolls and the shirt isn't even tight LOL.

I'm almost positive we ordered the same exact shirt. Mine is just embarrassing and not cute looking at all. There is just no hiding my fat in that shirt!

That shirt looks cute! But then I am a freak and like tight tees (but I guess not tight enough since I have never gotten a free corndog or dream ears, hummm maybe it was my shoes ). But I hate the cheapy see through material they are using these days, it makes them all look old and worn out.


Ok should I be embarassed that I actually own 4 (possibly 5) versions of one movie????? I almost talked DH into getting the over $100 version of it for the 4th copy, but he said no and got me the regular priced version

But I swear I have a good reason for having bought all of them and did eventually give one copy away hahahahahahahhahaha!
