No it was my first husband. LOL. Ironic!

And yes you should see House Bunny. If you were in the sorority thing you will DEF crack up. It is a riot! :)

Why did I have to come in here on the day of all the GS cookie talk? WHY!!!!!!!! Now I need cookies!

Too bad sweets hate me right now :(

I guess I will have to go back to the Horded Mother's Pink and White cookies, DH was so awesome to get me for Christmas. I hope the new companies start to make these things again soon that and the Taffy cookies. YUMMY!!!!

...one girl even got asked not to come to any more fraternity parties--by the fraternity :scared1: --and eventually was the one and only person in the history of the chapter who got thrown out of Kappa.

Molly--some of my sorority sisters are still my best friends and some of my sorority sisters I could go forever without ever hearing from. (One keeps calling and leaving messages and I just never call her back--you'd think she'd get the hint.) But you're in the DisDivas sorority--it's the BESTEST.

By the fraternity???? omg.

I knew a guy who got kicked out of Kappa Sigma for too much drug-use...at my school, K Sig was KNOWN to be the drug house. But his use was just too much for the house....

Does that mean this is the DDS house? Won't dentists be upset?

I was lucky in that before the second rush I had joined Crew, which meant that I really wouldn't have had time (or money) for it, but it was supposed to be a shoo-in situation, but one disliked-by-all-but-the-house-president member was overlooked, and she and I had a bit of a history, whoopsie. So it hurt even more. And no I shouldn't know that, but the main friends in the house (KKG, interestingly) were so disgusted by what she did that they told me and started their process of dis-engaging from the house...both actually left by the end of sophomore year and never affiliated with the house at the colleges they went to.

Crew was far better for me, ultimately. :)

And now I've got the dentists, LOL.

We normally go out to a Chinese restaurant on Christmas Eve with my parents, but we had to cancel this year because of the snow :sad2:
Evil, horrible snow, keeping you from your Chinese food like that!!

I actually have a box in my freezer that are left from last year. They are Dave's favorite, but he has more willpower than me--thus he still has a full box of cookies left over a year later whereas my Samoas were gone within a week!
I had to read that sentence multiple times. I simply can't comprehend that. Cookies of any kind lasting more then a few days???? Never in my life has that happened!!! In fact, in my life they rarely last more then a few hours. :rolleyes1

My cookies have to be soft and gooey.
If it's a cookie, I'll eat it. Period. :rotfl:

OMG! Do you know how wonderfully awesome that would be!!!!?
So, what time shall we expect you? I need to know what Chippendale showtime to book?

Ok so I HAVE to ask did you guys see House Bunny?
You know I did! Too funny! :happytv:

But you're in the DisDivas sorority--it's the BESTEST.
Can I be in it too?? :yay:

Too bad sweets hate me right now :(
Really? Why? Morning sickness or something? How are you feeling by the way?

Won't dentists be upset?
:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Don't mention that word......ever!!!! :scared: Ever, ever, ever, ever. (shudders)
I'll have nightmares. :sad2:

Yup, nausea or old day sickness in my case hates french fries and most sweets. I was so sad not to eat my Grandmother's Christmas cookies this year. I think I might have to talk her into making some for her favorite preggo Granddaughter in maybe June, when all I should be thinking about is food. :lmao:

But can I say I do want to go to DLR so bad right now for the pinapple thanks to another thread :rotfl:

I think seriously I am going to go next week :)

sorry sorry sorry beth, I forgot. sorry.

though if you'd like to take a trip up here, I have a good guy...beautiful blue eyes so you'd be distracted even if blue eyes aren't your thing.

Is he married?????????

I would be busy worrying more about how old, then if they are married :lmao:

Oh Heather--at my age you don't care how old they are anymore . . . . older, younger--it's all good!

It would have been funnier if I found the right smileys hahahah! I wants a baby and a REALLY old guy :lmao:

Don't mind me I am amusing myself right now ;)

:rotfl2: Some emergency flashers would brighten up the place nicely I think. :thumbsup2

OK, it's done. All our info is now on the front page and I'm going to PM Mary Jo and ask her to lock the old one so no one gets confused.

Any bets on whether or not this one reaches 250 pages before our trip?? :rotfl:

At this pace I think we'll pass 250 before the end of the MONTH! Sheesh!! I leave for a few days and there is a whole new thread????

Awww, that sucks. I was horribly sick with all my pregnancies, especially the twins. I'll spare you the details but I totally 110% know what you are going through.
Thankfully it doesn't last forever. I hope you get to go to DL next week. If you are craving pineapple, then you must give the baby what it wants. ;)

It's ok, I forgive you. But I could have Johnny Depp, Keanu Reeves and Ryan Gosling working on my teeth and it wouldn't be enough to distract me.

Dentists are evil....

Be in it??????? You're our LEADER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No way. The leader as to be good and responsible. I want to be the goofy trouble maker. :rolleyes1

Is he married?????????
Noooooooooo!!! It doesn't matter. He's still a dentist! :scared1:

Ok so I HAVE to ask did you guys see House Bunny?

I watched it... I feel a little dumber for the experience, but not because it was about sororities!

Sorority talk, sigh.

I got dropped from rush. Twice. (I think the appropriate term would be that I didn't get offers from ANY houses)

v. v. bad memories surrounding that stuff.

Molly, I am so sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I forced my younger sister to go through recruitment this past fall (she is a college freshman in Ohio) and she got dropped by all chapters too. I was so disappointed for her as my sorority sisters were and are my best friends in the world! But, she is an out and proud lesbian and apparently she did not fit the mold of what the girls on her campus felt that a sorority girl should be. What made it even harder for her was the fact that she convinced her roommate to go through recruitment with her and the roommate ended up getting invited to join the chapter my sister wanted to be in. But, Greek Life is not for everyone and she is just fine without being in a sorority. However, I do think that if she had gone to my alma mater that she would have ended up joining the same chapter as me and my girlfriends.

I did the whole rush thing but I decided I was more interested in my boyfriend at the time so I blew them off. LOL. I rushed Delta Gamma. It was too much of a committment for me.

That happens a lot! Hopefully you made the best decision for you at the time.

Never have truer words been typed... I have 3 friends that I am still really close to. We have all moved all over the country and have led very different lives, but our sorority bond will keep us close forever. On the other hand, there are sisters from my chapter that I have had to think long and hard about before becoming Facebook friends. There is one in particular who was chapter president the same year that I was on the Exec Board that I truly abhor and I decided for myself that I had to play nice until we graduated, but that after that we were done!

I'm not in a sorority, but thought House Bunny was hilarious!

Welcome to the Delta Delta Sigma house!

I think its a bit hard for the few guys we have on this board to miss our gigantic thread :rotfl: But as with most girl talk they probably get noisey have a peek, think "man those hens cluck on and on" and walk away :rotfl:

I think it would be so cool for the guys to have their own meet. Though I find it funny it has a football theme :)

Oh Heather--at my age you don't care how old they are anymore . . . . older, younger--it's all good!

Hormones. We understand.

Oh girls, you have to read this thread

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2052984

Which makes me wonder--do you think the DisBoard Guys read our thread???:scared1: I guess I never really thought of that before!
Hmmm, I'm not sure I want to click on that link......

That'll teach you to leave again. :rolleyes1

I'm curious about the Zazzle shirts too. I went ahead and ordered one just in case the iron on thing goes horribly wrong for me. I'm worried that the zazzle shirt I ordered will be to small...I tried to follow the sizing charts, but once I see numbers my brain shuts off. Oh well, hopefully everything will work out OK...even if I end up duct taping a printed out copy of the picture to a shirt. :rolleyes1

I was amazed that I ordered my zazzle shirts on Sunday and they arrived yesterday! They looked great. The causal scoop one will be fine. I also ordered an XL long sleeve that definitely will NOT fit over my chest. Oh well. I am hoping to lose before the trip. If not, I can either demo the wet-tshirt look or pass it to a smaller friend.

Amy
