I watched it... I feel a little dumber for the experience, but not because it was about sororities!
Yeah, but you gotta love it! :happytv:
Now if you really wanna feel dumber, watch Romy and Michele's High School Reunion.

That is a classic. I LOVE and own that movie. But I think my IQ drops every time I watch it, which is frightening considering how low it was to begin with. :rotfl:

I think its a bit hard for the few guys we have on this board to miss our gigantic thread :rotfl: But as with most girl talk they probably get noisey have a peek, think "man those hens cluck on and on" and walk away :rotfl:
LOL Probably. It's funny though......even if they are copy cats. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I was amazed that I ordered my zazzle shirts on Sunday and they arrived yesterday! They looked great. The causal scoop one will be fine. I also ordered an XL long sleeve that definitely will NOT fit over my chest. Oh well. I am hoping to lose before the trip. If not, I can either demo the wet-tshirt look or pass it to a smaller friend.

Amy
:yay: You got your shirts too? Yay! That was fast. What size did you order in the casual scoop?
And do we get to see a pic? Jen posted one for us.....:rolleyes1

Oh girls, you have to read this thread

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2052984

Which makes me wonder--do you think the DisBoard Guys read our thread???:scared1: I guess I never really thought of that before!
That is too funny! They should make plans!!

Yup, nausea or old day sickness in my case hates french fries and most sweets. I was so sad not to eat my Grandmother's Christmas cookies this year. I think I might have to talk her into making some for her favorite preggo Granddaughter in maybe June, when all I should be thinking about is food. :lmao:

But can I say I do want to go to DLR so bad right now for the pinapple thanks to another thread :rotfl:

I think seriously I am going to go next week :)
Aw Heather! I hope you get to feeling better real soon!!! :flower3:

Methinks the boys are a bit jealous of us girls and our huge thread!

Maybe they're having a bit of thread envy..........

Oh Heather--at my age you don't care how old they are anymore . . . . older, younger--it's all good!

I say they have to at least be 21. You want them to be able to buy you some wine don't you? You don't want to be the GF who has to do the beer room.

How cute. They want their own trip.

Yeah, but you gotta love it! :happytv:

I love that movie. Its so lame. I feel smarter than them when I watch it.

They know they can never have a thread as long as ours. ;)

They know they can never have a thread as long as ours. ;)

I was just thinking about that. Since the first thread that I started back on November 1, 2007, we have logged approximately 871 pages of planning and chatting. :surfweb: It's so cool to think we've already been "hanging out" together for so long. :goodvibes

The WDW Ladies Only Trip planning thread I had on the DIS Meets board reached over 10,000 pages though!! (January and Sarah, remember that???) That was before they closed them at 250 pages.
If anyone thinks it's hard to keep up here, we'd put between 20-30 pages a DAY on that sucker!!

I think this pace is just right. I can actually take a pee break and not worry I'll come back to 12 new pages. :rotfl2:

Glad you think you can take a pee break. If I had a lap top I would bring it with me to take care of my business so not to miss one post. jk

:rotfl:
Seriously, on the WDW thread we used to joke about needing Depends because if you left the computer for anything, you'd miss several pages of chatting and planning. I'd run errands for the day and have to sort through 25 pages by night time. :rotfl2:

That's another nice thing about DLR being smaller without as many parks, water parks, hotels, restaurants, etc. It makes the planning sweet and simple. Just the way I like it. :)

And it seems that we are all on at different times each day. No one is on the same time every day. We seem to be staggered all over the place. Bad news for stalkers I guess.

I called for PS yesterday and not only did I get ps, but dish on goings on. Capt Jack is no longer a part of the park as a walk around meet char juicy info the CM gave me on why, and no not what corp said the reason was. Also fireworks are listed on their new calendar they were given for 5-12 that we are there.

Is he married?????????

I don't know. My good friend has gone to him since we were in college, so he's at least old enough to have gone through....that...school by '87. He started in his father's practice (is still in the same building actually) so that means he didn't have to be out on his own struggling...he's, obviously, 22 years older but his eyes are still amazing. :)

I'm used to him now, but the first time I saw him I blushed while we spoke, b/c he is so cute.

But my friend and I can't figure out if he's married or not.

Molly, I am so sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I forced my younger sister to go through recruitment this past fall (she is a college freshman in Ohio) and she got dropped by all chapters too. I was so disappointed for her as my sorority sisters were and are my best friends in the world! But, she is an out and proud lesbian and apparently she did not fit the mold of what the girls on her campus felt that a sorority girl should be. What made it even harder for her was the fact that she convinced her roommate to go through recruitment with her and the roommate ended up getting invited to join the chapter my sister wanted to be in.

Yeah, being that out wouldn't have worked well at the houses at my college either.

I wasn't even going to rush at all, but during freshman year orientation (they no longer have rush first semester) a friend down the hall convinced me to just "try" it, have some fun (there is nothing fun about sorority rush, not even the peppermint milkshakes we had at the Alpha Phi house made it fun...the guys however got beer, and that made it much more fun for them). Turned out she's something like a triple legacy, with mom, aunt, and grandmother all having been Tri Delts, so she was an absolute for that house. :headache:

I was a cute little thing during that first rush, but I had NO small talk skills (still don't, note my novels when short quick answers would suffice for anyone else) and my dad was a bus driver (so I had nothing interesting to say when they asked what my parents did) and I was the first in my family to even go to college so I just had nothin' going for me.

Oh, and I noticed that the women that I DID talk to at the houses, the ones that it seemed I clicked with, they ALL, to a person, left their houses later. Drama geeks, most of them, and a couple Crew people who just had no time whatsoever...so you can see that I would never ever do well on a show like Lost, since I made friends with the wrong people!

Ruh roh, what does that mean for you all?

OK - question about the tote exchange. Are we going for Disney totes or anything else in particular?

Well, on the front page I just put that the theme was up to the person buying or decorating it. We didn't discuss themes in detail or set up any rules about that as I recall.
I suppose it's up to you, but I'd imagine since it's for the Disney trip and we are all Disney fans, the majority, if not all, the totes will have a Disney theme to them. :earsboy:

Hi Everybody!:grouphug:
Yeahhhhhhh the retirement party for one of our managers is over... i cooked for 2 days.. and was so grateful my mom helped me.:worship:

The party was really great.. we had over 100 people come.. so nice to see so many of our clients in a down market.. it was great to visit with them.

I'm thankful all that work is over and it turned out so special as the Lady is a good person inside and out and deserved a wonderful party.

hhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

my tote... my mom's.. and from what wendy told me..hers... are not Disney totes...

But they are reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly *Nice*... so if non disney totes are not allowed.. we will trade amongst ourselves...:rotfl2: ...sorry it's the champagne talking...

The best part of hosting a party... is the AFTER party... when close friends take off their high heels.. and really eat yummy food and just get to visit over a sparkley glass of champagne.

Sweet Dreams Everyone.. Have a Great Day Tomorrow.:goodvibes

I haven't seen House Bunny. I love Romy & Michelle. But I swear everytime I watch it my IQ drops :lmao:

I have dated younger & older. I think I like older. BB was younger, by 3 years. But then HOT OLDER GUY was 9 years & 7 hours older to the day!!
Weird huh?
But now the title guy he is older by 2 years.

I was never Greek. I dated Greek, BB was in a frat. Ex DBF was in a frat.
Ok so I have noticed that all the guys I have dated have all been in a frat, played football or baseball. Hot Older guy was in frat, played football, played semi pro and coached football. I think I have a thing for football players :lmao:

Wow now I am concerned about my shirt since Amy said hers is not very big. Amy did you get the fitted long sleeve? Of course I don't have any ****s so maybe it will be ok. I can't figure out why it is taking so long to get my shirt either! I ordered mine on Saturday or Sunday I think but whatever day it was I know they shipped it on Monday from San Jose and I live in Sac for goodness sake and I STILL have not gotten it and I have a PO Box for god's sake. I mean it amazes me how long it takes for me to get stuff. It's not even like they have to put it in a truck and deliver it to my house. It just goes straight to the post office. You think it would take LESS time. I did the tracking and they said it left San Jose on the 6th! It should not take more than a friggin DAY to get here! SHEESH!

Sometimes I think they just have it in the back of our post office laying around for days. HMMMM!

And as far as the guys thread goes I think that is hilarious! I agree I think they are jealous! :)

I not only have to work but we have a big Girl Scout event tomorrow night and I hope I am up to the task. We have a Cookie Rally to kick of the start of cookie sales. Our troop puts it on and we do these booths and I have to work in one. The girls walk around to each booth and do different things. Last year I had like a bean bag toss. Then they have these little passports and I have to stamp their passports and give them a little prize after they complete their task. They go to each station and after they get their passport completed they get a prize for that. It is also to get them familiar with the cookies. Last year they changed all the names of the cookies. We also get to pick up our order forms.

That is one thing I hate about GS though is all the selling. We had fall sales in October where we had to sell candy and now we have the cookies. We have to do the site sales where you go to the grocery stores and our leader is really into it so she wants us to go out like EVERY day for the entire 3 weeks we do it and I HATE that. Not only is it FREEZING cold but I just hate hocking stuff!

The kids like it but I just hate asking people to buy stuff. BLEH!

That is my LEAST favorite part of it but our leader is obsessed with it and our troop has sold the MOST out of our entire service unit every year since we started. I think last year we sold 6000 boxes.

I'll just be glad when it's over LOL.

My daughter's cookie rally is in a little over a week. The girls are really looking forward to it. I don't mind the presale orders but I'm not looking forward to the cookie boothing. My only saving thing is that the first week of our booth, I'll be with you all at DL. Might have to convince dh to sign up for that week....:lmao:

I wasn't able to go to the parent meeting yesterday so I sent dh. He took great notes but he forgot to let me know what their individual goal was. I'll have to talk to the leader to find out.

Cristabel--your new family member is adorable! (I saw a baby goat in a feed store next door to my vet the other day--I WANTED it--it was SOOOO cute. Of course, never mind that I have no room for it, I'm not zoned for it, etc. I still WANTED it! It even talked (ok, baaaa'd) to me--it loves me. (Now who's delusional.))
