So now that you know his background, you can imagine how I felt when I saw him with his mom and dad at DL. His Mom is the sweetest thing, and I think she loves to come on Wednesday night just to get a break. Poor thing. If I had a little 5 year old who was that naughty, it would be very hard.

So I am getting myself mentally prepared for tonight.

I am so glad to see that I am not the only one in a bad mood for no real good reason today... can't explain it, but I'm just kinda blah today.

I hope you feel better now. Getting out and having both me and DS maybe make a sorely needed local friend made quite a bit of difference! And knowing that the cat hadn't passed on in the night.

Hey, is anyone NOT doing the tote exchange?

Will I be the biggest party pooper ever if I don't participate in the tote exchange?

I'm not doing it, and I have no excuse; I just know that I'll never get it done and that would be worse than just not participating.

Gee, did anyone else notice that even though this thread JUST started on January 7 that we are already on page 100!!!

I'm sure we will have exhausted the limit by the time the trip is here.

I REALLY don't like being sick. Everything takes forever to do and I'm super tired.

I saw the candy buffet over on the budget thread and thought it was a fun idea. I'm glad we are able to do it. I'll bring the Red Vines, 'cause if there's some left over I wont mind.

They aren't leftover from this past weekends trip are they?

I like the candy buffett idea.
I thought about doing that for my son's 13th birthday. But I am thinking
he will have his braces by then. So that might not be a good idea, kwim.

That is a good question? I'm thinking that this weekend should be the last of the sign ups. That way, we can let you guys know who you are with.

I told the ladies last weekend, that I think we will work on letting you guys be with someone you might already know, who you are bringing with you, or with your roomates. We want everyone to feel as comfortable as possible.

Hello again ladies. I finally had time to load some pictures on my computer. So here is Laila at 1 week old:

Ok, I can't keep up with all you ladies. I know all this planning has been going on, but I just don't have the time to read back 10-12 pages since I last checked in.

Plans have changed a bit for me with regards to the trip. I already informed my roommates, but I'm not going to be flying in on Thursday.

My family is going to head over to Carlsbad on Sunday the 1st, and then go to Legoland on Monday. Then we'll drive up to Claremont and stay with our friends the rest of the week until Thursday night when my dh will drive me over to the HoJo to join you all. Then he'll stay with my friends again in Claremont with the kids until I get done on Sunday evening and we'll drive back to Phoenix that night.

So here's a question. Will I be the biggest party pooper ever if I don't participate in the tote exchange? I think I'm going to have enough of a hard time just getting the t-shirt made and getting my dh to produce the lanyards.

Will I miss out on BIG FUN if I don't give/receive a tote?? I honestly have about 30 totes and I really don't need another one.

Ok, I gotta get dinner made and LOST is on tonight! Woo hoo!

Nope, you won't be a party pooper. You got a lot on your plate. It will still be fun even if you don't participate.

I was just wondering if any of you ladies are podcast listeners? If there are any podcast fans out there, I have a couple questions...

Costco has really good sheet cakes and cupcakes. I don't know if this is an option.

OKay so back to desserts. I had an idea.

Anyone ever heard of a candy buffet? They are popular at graduation parties, birthday parties and even weddings.

What about instead of cake or cookies or whatever, each person bring a bag or two of candy? (those can pack easily too)
We can set up one table really pretty or fun like with a table cloth, some dollar store containers, and some party favor bags and make a candy buffet.

People can take what they want and eat it that night or have it to snack on at the parks.

I can even buy the containers. My Dollar Tree has some fun ones.

What do y'all think? It's just an idea. Might be easier then cake.

The candy bar idea sounds great. I'm gaining weight just by all of these pictures of candy, pizza, etc. I can't wait .

I'm trying to remember I think it was Heather talking about a trip to Pooh's Corner for a treat. I'll be there too. Love the chocolate covered marshmallows, as well as everything else they offer there. Where's a drooling smilie when you need it.

Well, after four and a half days of nothing but applesauce, jello, pudding and yogurt, I finally had something decent!
Ruben brought me a Taco Bell bean burrito. I'm one of those weirdos who actually like TB.

Anyway, it took me awhile and I had to chew on one side, but I got it down. Now watch me be totally sick since my stomach will be like WTH are you doing to me all of a sudden???
