That you know of.....:scared1:

You are right! Ok roomies from last year....which one of you is a middle aged man who likes to stalk women? We are on to you.

Why do some people have to be sooooooooo bloody annoying??? UGH!!!!

Anyway, now that you used that siggy MommaU4 I can't, I would feel like a copycat :lmao: I think I need to pull out one of my Cruella and me shots though, or my HOTTEST DL photo EVER!!!

Use it. No one will say you are a copy cat. And if they do, toss Beth under the bus and just say you had it first. Easy-squeezy.

Okay, I got the word......my friend Cathy is not going on the ladies trip.

She made the point that if she went on the ladies trip, it would be her third Disneyland trip in a year! I was like, oh my gosh, that is actually true! That's a lot of Disneyland trips even for a Disney lover! So I told her, "Babe, don't sweat it. I don't want you to feel you have to do something you don't want to do. We'll do something else fun together later this year, like maybe a girls weekend up at a lake cabin or something.":thumbsup2

So it looks like I'll be going on the ladies trip by myself. I have to confess.....I'm actually a little nervous. The last time I did anything by myself was when I was 18 years old and going to college. That was over 20 years ago.:rolleyes1

No worries. You will have a great time and not have to worry about Cathy not having as much fun as you would like. Also, by going solo you can do whatever you want. Go into the parks alone for a while and do what you always wanted to do without anyone else. It may sound scary, buts its liberating. Trust me.

I'm going be myself. I couldn't even begin to explain to my friends what the DIS is or why I'm going to hang out with people I met on the Internet or why I want to go to DL without the kids. So I don't even try...

And you're not alone, you already know us. Right?

Now, my kid's babysitter. She left Ethiopia for the US when she was 15 years old to get married to a stranger her family picked out for her. That's scary. :scared1:

I'm tired and a little punchy. I'd better go take the dog on a quick (can you say 2 minutes?) walk and then put DSs to bed.

Nite...

Yeah, I try not to explain the DIS to too many friends. They don't get and don't understand. Its ok though.

I can't imagine marrying someone in another country that someone else picked for me. Now that is scary. Going to DL solo is nothing.

.
Wow. I can't even imagine.

Yes, that's very true. I've already met many of you during the last ladies trip.......no wonder I'm nervous! ;)
Keep it up missy! You'll be testing out how comfy those poolside lounge chairs are for sleeping. :smooth: :rolleyes1

Hmph! I'll get you for that.....

None of us will be alone. We all have each other.:grouphug:

One of the things I like best about our trip is that I can spend as much time with the group as I want. And time alone to enjoy DL as I want. Of course I go alone all the time and have gotten used to it. I am soooo looking forward to our trip.:lovestruc

Oh please is right! This is more like it:

Who me? Nah!

I go alone often enough that I am not bothered by it anymore. The first few times I felt odd. But I love to be able to do my own thing. This past Sunday was like it. And I didn't feel weird taking my pics with the characters either. I just am so facinating that I enjoy spending time with me. Who wouldn't right? ;)

That said, I am soooo loooking forward to the trip with everyone. As much as I love being alone, I love going with people too. Two different kinds of fun.

Wow! It's been another busy day on here ladies... it took me forever to catch up on the rest of last night and today's chat.

Wendy: The monkey bride and I would like to cordially wish you a happy birthday! She says that good things come to those who believe!

Oh yeah, and count me as another one of the group who gets strange looks when I tell other people about the DIS and the Girls Trip. I have gotten to the point where I just say that I am going on a trip with a group of girlfriends and don't even try to explain the fact that I have only met 2 of you in person thus far... by March 9th we are all going to be BFFs!!!:lovestruc

Anyhow, I had to work a 12.5 hour day today due to an evening meeting, so I am exhausted. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little slower at work and I can check in more frequently rather than trying to read 6-8 pages at once!

Is anyone coming down early on Thursday - in time for lunch? I'll be there and I would love to go to Ariel's for lunch. I would never get to go otherwise. My usual DL buddy is my DS - who is 13 and therefore way too cool to go to a princess lunch!!

Let me know..

Hey, I should be there fairly early on Thursday. I drop my DD at school as early as 8, and head up the highway from San Diego!! I have never done Ariel's and since I am a Princess, I mean, I like Princesses, I think it sounds great. Just don't tell my DD8 since I've NEVER taken her!!!

I'm thinking she wants to tell me she doesn't want to go on the trip.....but of course, I could be wrong. Maybe she'll want to finalize our trip plans.

If she doesn't go though, what will I do? Will I still go? Who will I room with? Who will I hang out with? Could I possibly, at times, end up being (gulp) ALONE?! I don't DO alone!

I'm a big, clingy baby!:rolleyes1

Well, maybe you could hang with the cool girls this time!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
I actually have the opposite problem to you. I am GREAT alone, it's groups that make me twitchy!!!!!

LOL...embrace the stains...in chiro school one of my classmates called me Stain Girl b/c I always had something on my shirt. (and she wonders, maybe, why I won't "friend" her back on FB!)QUOTE]

My husband often says, "Just call me SPOT!!" for similar issues.

Well, I do snore...I'm just saying!!!

Wow, that multi-quote wore me out!! I had an icky day today. I worked a 10 hour day without lunch. I am too old for that!! My hips ache.

Oh, and my idiot Welsh Corgi tore his ACL yesterday, (he was running in the backyard with the 140lber) Had him at work today trying to decide if I was willing to pay HUGE bucks to have a specialist do his surgery, or have it done for pretty much free by one of my fellow vets. Not likely as good of a job, but at cost. Makes me feel small not immediately going for the best. Poor Gilligan!!!

Howz everybody else?

A semi quick reply here.

First of all, all teams will be finalized at the end of the month, after all sign ups are done.

I think the we will pick the teams, considering all friends, family and foes!! :rotfl:
You then will be informed of your team mates, and from there you will choose a team name. I can't wait to hear what you choose!! :lmao: Your teams will be given colors to identify who you are! :woohoo:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will recieve prizes.

Does that help?

Tomorrow I am extremely busy. My oldest DD is turning 26, and we are having cake and dinner here. So I will be busy cooking and cleaning..............and not to mention getting ready for our weekend. Ooooh, I cant wait. DL here i come!! :yay:

I probably won't be on much due to that. will just have to find out when Wendy is coming for sure, and see what everyone wants to do Saturday morning also.

Oh and Capri.............when you consider all things...................most of us are solo on this trip. So we are all in your boat. Which is kind of weird, but I think OK too. You don't have to please a soul, if you don't want. But there is so many of us, that you can't help but have a great time with us.

Ok, I think I am tired, cuz my sentences are not making sense at the moment.

Have a good night!!!

I am impressed with the multiquotes. You go girl!

Glad you are planning on doing Ariel's. I promise not to tell your DD. We are all princesses so it will be fun. princess:

Yeah we are the cool kids. :cool2:

And so what you are twitchy in groups. I think you did fine last year. And you are coming back this year so in my expert opinion, its all good.

Yes, you did snore. But I am sure you weren't the only one.

Don't worry about the dog. And don't feel small about wanting a deal with the surgery. Yes we love our pets to death. And yes they are part of the family. But reality is they are dogs. Sounds harsh I know. We want the best for our pets, but sometimes we can't always pay for it. You are getting him the surgery and it is with someone qualified so don't feel bad. Your dog will love you no matter what. :dogdance:

This is gonna be so much fun. I can't wait!:dance3:

That's great! I'm so glad that other people are interested :woohoo: I won't tell your daughter (don't worry, my son is just thrilled that I'm going with someone besides him :rotfl2:)

I'll make the PS tomorrow. Right now we have possibly five for lunch on Thursday at 1 p.m. If anyone else is interested, let me know. It'll be fun princess:

Hi all! I can't even come close to keeping up with this thread lately!!!

Bugsmom (Carrie) called today, she's still looking to try to find a great flight, and then she might be joining us. I'm hoping so. She's GREAT. Lots of fun and lots o' stuff happening in the last year so she could really use a break. She lives in Chicago.

I took a mental health day today (and let Ethan join me, as he's getting a 4.0 the last two semesters, so I think he can afford a mental health day) and since DH had to go up to LA, we drove up together (instead of him taking the train) and he can expense it, and Ethan and I spent the day at DLR. We had a great time. We did Midway Madness twice, the Mouse ride, splash mountain (which I'm so happy that Zoe actually likes!), space mountain, the train, Innoventions, Autotopia, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Buzz. We tried to go on the Monorail, as Ethan never has done it at DLR, but it was closed down all day midday. We left a bit early and wandered around DtD and got Ethan a Jamba juice and me an order of beignets. It was a nice relaxing, enjoyable day. I needed that. I'm having a really tough time not freaking out about the job thing. We were just keeping our head above water, just starting to catch up after being unemployed for 8 months, and now we're facing it all again. And there's just no good prospects. I'm done with my pity party now, sorry to get everyone down.

And, that leads me to the next part of my post. I am pretty sure I'll still be able to go on the ladies trip, but unless something changes dramatically, I'll be cutting back dramatically. If I'm not employed, I will be there on Thursday early, but won't be able to do the Princess lunch. Though I highly encourage those who want to do so to give it a try. I actually enjoy the food there (or at least I have in the past) and the character interaction tends to be pretty good. Typically 5 or 6 princesses there.

I also am not going to be able to go this weekend. I'm so sorry. I can't go up without spending money, even if I'm good, and we just have too much going on in the next month. Sounds like most everyone is getting together on Sunday, anyway, and I wasn't able to do that due to my SIL having her delivery scheduled on Sunday.

I'll check in tomorrow morning!
Michelle
