Girls Only Disneyland Trip!! Old thread. New link in first post

Like I mentioned to some of the girls, I think once we hit 4th or 5th Annual DIS Divas trip we should go to WDW! Now that would totally rock my socks!

Well I'll be on the look out of the new link to next year's planning!
I'm feeling down in the dumps today, but that's normal for me when I come home after spending a lot of time in a big group.

If she still wants to go, I'm taking my mom to Disneyland for her birthday March 20th and I'm trying to find a good place for breakfast. I wanted to take her to Storyteller's Cafe but since I'm footing the bill I have to find something nice but thrifty. So far I'm interested in Steakhouse 55. Anyone ever been there?

it was great to see my family when I got home...made up for the sadness of leaving DLR and all of you. Just got done cuddling with my munchkins and watching Beauty and the Beast.

It was such as amazing trip. It was so nice to meet all of you and I was suprised at how easy it was to make quick friends. What an amazing bunch of ladies!!!

Heather....I will never ever forget Club 33 and how wonderful it was to be out on those balconies. I can't thank you enough.

Closing down the park on 2 different nights was awesome! So glad there are others like me who can't get enough of Space Mountain and BTMRR in the dark!!

5 days went way too fast and I can't wait to do it again next year. Hope to see some of you at the Vegas mini-meet and maybe in October if I can swing it.

Seriously, I doubt I could get away doing WDW without my family. Too much of a bigger trip. The kids would want to go and do IOA and US. So that's one I'd have to sit out. LOL

I don't think I can do a trip report but I'm going to try. In the mean time I'd like to thank you all as a group. I had an amazing time and am looking forward to it again next year. In specific I'd like to thank: (warning you may see some names repeated I'm trying to group the events so it makes sense....at least it will to me )

Okay I am so sorry that I wrote a novel (writing this after writing everything below).

My roomies: Stacie (Stacerita), Amy Sue (Grumpy Vet), Michelle (Zoemakes5), and Cristabel (Disney-Inspired). What can I say ladies, we were able to get 5 women to sleep in 1 room, all were able to be showered, and be out the door every morning when we planned to be.

Callie (DangerMouse) thank you so much for picking me up from the train station. It was great to meet your family. I'm glad you were able to come to the Girls Only Trip as well as a trip with your family.

Sheryl (Toocherie), Stacie (Stacerita), and Michelle (Zoemakes5) the party was awesome. The icebreaker game was perfect for our group. The totebag exchange was hilarious. Amy Sue (GrumpyVet) if being a Vet doesn't work out (not like that would happen...but you get the idea) you should go into stand-up comedy. The only problem ladies is that you have set the bar high for next year's get together.

Dawn (Fairykin) and Rosemary I am so glad that I got to meet you both. The candy packaging was amazing. You both made everyone feel so warm and welcomed just by your presence.

Stacie (Stacielee), Stacie (Stacerita), and Michelle (Zoemakes5) the Scavenger Hunt was great. I'm so glad that we were teammates. I didn't really feel rushed until those last few minutes. Who knew I could run quickly in jeans.

Linda (Lulubelle) I'm happy you stayed the extra day and that you were able to see the fireworks. I hope you weren't too tired today at work. I meant to ask you about the lobster nachos at the Cove Bar. Josh loves lobster and I'm wondering if that would something he'd like the next time we go there. I hope Brianne had a nice time.

Stacie (Stacerita) what can I say but that I had a blast with you. Thanks for helping make this trip memorable.

Jen (Grizzbuzz) I was glad we were able to see each other on this trip. Thank you so much for the card, magnet, etc (in the bag). You are so creative. That's great news on the money for the podcast team!

Melody (tinkermell) I loved that we were able to go on rides together and talk in down time. I still don't believe the age of your oldest. I hope your neck is feeling better.

MaryJo it was great to eat dinner with you at Carnation Cafe. I loved hearing of your travels. Our table's dinner conversation was a great way to enjoy a wonderful meal with friends.

Sheryl (Toocherie), thank you for arranging the DVC tour. I am defintely interested. Now I just need to talk to Josh about it. That's the hard part. I was so glad to hear that your mom is doing so much better. And my feet thank you very much for the ride back to HoJo's.

Sarah (MotoXPrincess99) and Trudi (VintageDisneyRules) I was afraid we weren't going to have spent any time together and was happy we were able to share some snacks/appetizers at the Cove Bar. I hope you are both able to come next year and stay for all the dates.

Jill (4fosterkids) and Chris (Califgirl) I was so happy to see you both at the pizza party. I hope that you're both about to come next year!

Wendy (Wendylady36), Melody (tinkermell), and Dawn (Fairykin) thank you all so much for the Scavenger Hunt. I can't even begin to imagine the work that went into creating this for us to do. I just want to say Thank You so much!!!!

Kelly (kelmac284) and Rosemarie, I am so happy that you were both able to come. I loved the boas and think that we should all wear them next year with our tiaras. I enjoyed talking to you both at the pizza party. I wish that we were able to have spent more time on the trip together...but that's what next year is for, right???

January (Daisy_77) I had a great time talking with you over the weekend and am so glad that you were able to come. I hope you're able to come next year.

Molly (Bumbershoot) I wish you could have stayed longer but understand that we all can't get everything. I'm so glad that we met and were able to talk.

Heather (lilycat) I hope your feet are feeling better. It was so fun to hang out with you on Sunday. I hope you are able to come again next year.

Tina (BillyFan) and Donna - so nice to meet you both. The toffee was amazing. I hope you both had a great time.

I was so envious of you guys. I did the tour at EPCOT in December and really really really want to do it at CA. The hour time change thing really makes me less jealous!!!

Kelly, you are such a darling to list us all there and remember a bit of each one of us to mention us individually. I am so impressed by your thoughtfulness!! I wish I'd had more of a chance to spend time with you too. I like women with spice and sass and I think you have both. Your mom was pretty saucy too!!!

Oh, I am so with you on that one sister!!! I truly hated work today and all of the people I work with, oh and all the clients that came in. Why not a one of them offered me a churro!!! 10 hours of no DL. Bummer

You could probably call Jim and ask for him to send you one. When I very first sent away for info, they sent one of the Perks pamphlets to me along with the Dreams book.

Well, except for riding Splash...how could I forget having the entire lower half of me absolutely sopping, dripping wet???? And then having to wash Splash water off of my face so I didn't get some horrible disease from duck poop. Amy/Grumpyvet, that would be zoonotic, yes? (or something like that)

And, I will have to think super hard to come up with a duck poo disease.

Amy Sue- Thanks! I just adored you. You cracked me up!! I just LOVE funny people and you are HILARIOUS!! I agree with whoever said you could sideline as a comic!! I also got a GREAT pic of you and Turk is it? Would you believe I have STILL never seen Tarzan? I own every Disney movie but never seen that one LOL.

But anyway def next year we have to have another one of those nights where we all "hang" so we can just "chat". I told mom one day walking to the parks I would have had JUST as much fun if this was a meet at Yosemite or Asilomar or some camp somewhere. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Disney but as someone said you end up breaking up into groups which is fine but I felt like there was so many people I didn't even get to say two words to and then there was the same few that I ended up hanging with the whole time. We had a GREAT time but I would have loved to talk to EVERYONE at least a little more.

Anywho it was GREAT and I am going back next month the dreaded spring break with the family for youngest dd's birthday and then that is it for me until probably the next ladies trip.

I had a blast with you Wendy Lou Who! Keep smilin' girlfriend! I must say my ONLY regret for the whole trip is not taking you up on that offer to do Screamin'. The opportunity never did come again. You know...you got to seize opportunities when they come...lesson learned.

Sign me up for next year for more of those yummy rum runner drinks and a ride on Screamin'! And, by the way, did you have to pay for all those drinks you convinced Beth to order that you ended up consuming?

More huge thanks to Steph and Jen who together made it possible for my family to affordably enjoy Disneyland this weekend.

It's funny...I'm not generally afraid of bacteria or virii, but I'm extremely concerned about the Splash and Grizzly water (mainly b/c I react like CRAZY!).

Ooh you might be extremely happy to know that if you buy resale, even just 25 points if memory serves you are treated EXACTLY like a 160 point DVC-direct buy-in owner. EXACTLY. Perks book, guide, member card, everything. And then you can do add-ons directly through DVC in their low required purchase level. Isn't that cool?

I still have not found the shopping list, not finished monthly shopping, and have not cleaned out the car and my messenger bag. Pshaw to housework as I still have not finished my daily internet routine and the dishes have overtaken the sink.

I am to scared to look at Chase and BofA right now.

This week I did things I long ago gave up on ever doing like riding Dumbo or doing the Orange Stinger. Somethings I can never do again like the Orange Stinger, NEVER EVER AGAIN, unless you got something to get me on the ride like a cure for cancer and celiac, never ever. It has been a long time since I did a scavenger hunt and it was nice talking with nice ladies. I still have Maliboomer and toontown to see and grizzly rapids and a couple others.

I need to get a lot of food and some cash and entice Calvin to come over and do dishes as I am not up to that yet. I still have my Trader Joe's brown sack full of goodies at the foot of my bed waiting to be unpacked. I was #43 and thus one of the last to choose and kept my eye on that bag which I think was the very best bag of them all. *strums fingers while evilly grinning a Grinch like grin." the Pringles and cookies and chocolate York mints in a tin should get me the dishes done if I toss in $10. See that was the best gift, not having to work, lol.
