I know a few of us saw Whoopi Goldberg yesterday.
Today she is wearing her DL sweatshirt on the View. She was there from 9am -7:45 PM with her family on Sunday. She showed a few pictures of her family.

Ok I am off to unpack & do laundry.

Hi everyone~! I was SO tired this morning! Anybody else? :cutie:

Ok, here's just a thought for next year. I know Kelly and some others mentioned having more time just to chill--if we can get the conf. room for an extra night--what about a movie/pajama party night! Before we sat up the room I saw a screen-so we'd just have to figure out how to get a projector and a movie or such. Just a thought . . . .. .

waiting for those trip reports!!popcorn::
I do not do trip reports so here goes for last night.

I slept in and finally caught up on sleep, sorry. I got sent to Simba then was told to make a right which meant me driving around the parking structure and finally back to the parking structure. Management messed up the parking structure and it was about a 40 minute wait.

The people stuck in the right three lanes could not move to the new lanes opening up. Idiot manager is directing traffic where it is not needed. The two right booths had one CM so we in the right 3 lanes waited up to an hour while people in the far left lanes got into the parks in under 15 minutes. By that time my foot was killing me from holding down the brake and inching forward.

Long walk to the tram but as usual the nice CMs spread the magic. I went to City Hall and they said to complain online, oh well. I went over to DCA and up to Ariel's and got a reservation for the next show. I then went down and took lots of notes on the carts. I did not get to get the bucket of kettle corn and the bucket of cotton candy, rats

I came back to Ariel's and a Make a Wish family showed up and their reservation was lost. I offered to let them have mine but the father just stormed off. I tired and felt sorry for the CM greeter and she looked and looked and was willing to switch the reservation.

Ariel was her usual gracious hostess but we did not chat as I was hungry. The lady wrangling people was not seating me so I asked if she had me and she said yess and if I wanted to greet Ariel. I had been the first one called and came through the elevator but she was too busy with people on the stairs so I asked. I got a seat immediately in the center of the room and a family of four was next to me. Nice kids but dad please stop threatening the kids with a wapping.

I was busy taking notes. The chef came out and got my order. Pico de Gallo is off limits, do they even carry that, they must. The little girl across from me on my right had a Snow White Dress on and was so cute. What do they put in the yellow jello? I would pass on salami ladies it is not really that great and I prefer salami and other meats like that with mustard.

Dinner was tri-tip which is salty again, garlic mashed taters, and I ate all of the squash, omg, I ate all of the squash. I do not eat squash unless it is cold and rarely. I met Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, and Belle. I then headed around the pier taking more notes. I had my form home cornbread with butter. Their pesto sauce uses yoghurt and had no flavour to me. For dessert I had the cherry pie with pits that I brought from home. The pie filling triggered SID because it was way to watery but the crust was just right. I love eating here even if the meat is oversalted. Then I rushed up front for a quick pit stop and drop off the scooter.

I skidded into Rosewood at 15 to 6 so I told Jose what mom wanted, halibut with baked potato. I called mom from their phone then ran to the bathroom thus leaving Jose to talk to mom. She likes jose and never is mad after talking with him. I got home and gave mom dinner then hid in my room catching up on internet stuff.

Back to the parks was not much of a problem then seeing as I never seen much of the ladies I headed over to DCA for my rental then around DCA for a while then got to see the fireworks. In DCA I did research for the question about little green army men and found them in Engineer Toys. I got to Buzz just as the fireworks ended. I parked and waddled at top speed and only had to wait about 10 seconds for the ride vehicle. WOW now that is a fast line where I just waddled fast and almost got on without stopping but the people in front of me did not even have to stop. I then researched the little green army men and checked pins just in case, no luck, just the bucket. Then off to Space mountain for one last ride. Innoventions was cloesd as is usual that late at night. It was cold and all I had on my lap was the mickey beach towel I bought at DCA.

The best part was the gluten free bun on the hot dog. I kept checking my pulse as the bun did not taste different like them tapioca buns and had that shiny dark brown crust. I had chips and a coke and more popcorn. After that I headed to the Opera House and parked in there for a while. I watched the movie on Tomorrowland and was munching popcorn and drinking Coke. Very interesting movie with history of Tomorrowland rides and shows but it skipped the Fashion show, I forget the name, lol. I realized that since October, 1960 I have ridden every thing and seen everything but Videopolis, Maliboomer, cannot remember Captain Eo, and some of the shows in Tomorrowland like that fashion show. We may have seen them and probably did but I cannot remember them as I would have been aged 3 to 8.

I talked to a CM for a while then parked my ECV and checked out. What a long walk and I am talking to Dr. Wong and seeing about an ECV. I have not seen my bank statement or credit card bill and am scared to look. While at the parks last night I left my baby blue blanket on the car roof and it was waiting for me when I got home which meant detouring off the 5 onto the west 91. Either way gets me home but the 5 north was totally closed and detouring onto the 91.

Like wow Mary Jo was on my team,, I need to read these threads more often and pay attention. I now will have to work on the notes for the parks, catch up on internet stuff and get over the wheat reaction from the nachos. It was small thankfully but I really wanted to do the character breakfast.

I am open to San Diego and DLR and Los Angeles day trips but have to be home each day to feed mom. Other people in wheelchairs adapt and cook their own meals but I have to be there to serve her. :laundy: :laundy: :laundy:

Thanks for the memories:grouphug:
hugs
Laurie

Yes I did use a CM for a pylon and did donuts around him with my ECV:rolleyes1 :woohoo: and I did get to go backstage and see the CM lockers, WOOT.:scared1:

On our way to the pizza party, I jokingly asked my mom if it was appropriate to wear my jammies. I think this is a great idea!

Melody and I left just before 7 this morning. I slept the first half of the drive and then from her house I went straight to work. I can't believe I made it here on time!

I had such an absolute blast with all of you ladies. I'm still tired, but I hope to post some more soon. Thanks to all of you that have posted pictures so far, it's like I'm still there! Mary JO, I refuse to look at those youtube videos, why oh why would you do that to me!?

You all are the best!

I am home! I feel like I have been on a pub crawl or something like it. I am beat. My feet are sore, my eyes ache, and I could sleep for days. But, I had an amazing time.

I got my car unpacked, but just tossed everything into my room. Will take me a few days to get it unpacked and cleared. I still can't believe how much stuff I brought. It wobbles the mind. :rotfl:

I promise to do a trip report, but I probably won't get it going till the end of the week or so. And then I know it will take me quite some time to get it finished. I know many aren't planning on doing a trip report, but if you wanted to PM me and remind me of a few things that happened when we were together, I would appreciate it. I try to note everything, but I bet there are things I will forget.

I have to picked up my DD from school in a while, so this won't be a long post, and I still have to try and catch up on the thread.

I do want to thank everyone who came on the trip and who made it a success. I had a great time and can't wait till we do it again.

In case you guys missed them back on pg 196, I edited post my post 2936 & added a couple of you tube videos where we're getting our instructions for the scavenger hunt, and where the winners are announced.

I wish I had done that for the pizza party - the tote bag exchange was sooo fun and funny!

Aww...I wish I could have hung out with everyone more. It was nice hanging out at Napa with a couple of the ladies. I missed you this time Mary Jo and was hoping to see you :(

I thought vacations were supposed to be relaxing. I am so tired, but this weekend was a blast. It was close to midnight by the time I dropped my mom off and made it home. I can't wait to see everyone's pictures and read the trip reports.

Hi Ladies!

Made it back home safe and sound yesterday. I had such a wonderful time! It was so nice to meet all of you (some again and some for the first time) and spend time with you. Everyone seemed to go out of their way to make the trip so special and I really do appreciate all the big and little things you ladies did to make the trip magical. Thank you first to Beth for spearheading this and managing the event. This trip wouldn't have happened without your enthusiasm, kind and inclusive manner and top notch organizational skills. Thanks to all the ladies who made dining and tour reservations, to the scavenger hunt gals (THANK YOU!!!!!), to the VIP divas for letting me join them on the Lily Belle, to Cheryl for organizing the DVC tour, to my fabulous roomie (sorry MizPee.com already took our brilliant busines idea) and to EVERYONE for all the little treats, trinkets, great conversation and shared passion for all things Disney.

Also, thank you to all the ladies who came for the DOLE WHIP FOR BAWB photo event. We collected $125 which I will be sending to the Podcast team tomorrow and I will post our lovely pic on the Dole Whips for Bawb imminently.

:rotfl2: Manyard looks like a cardboard cutout!

I had such a great time with you Jen!!!!

Hey Tina: how was your boyfriend? Any catfight with Callie?

Hi all! Just stopping in for a quick minute. I'm exhausted, as I'm sure all of you are. I am off this week and will make my big post tomorrow. I don't think I'll be doing a trip report but I do want to thank so many of you for all of the things that you did for this trip to happen and to everyone that went on the trip that made it awesome. Not to mention the amazing CMs we had over the course of our trip. :goodvibes

Talk to you all later.

We met Maynard at the Opera House too. I think my mom just about peed her pants as soon as he started in! She couldn't even look at him, and he kept calling her over. We were pretty delerious with exhaustion by the time we saw him.

Hey Tina: how was your boyfriend? Any catfight with Callie?

My boyfriend was just fine, thank you for asking. And there wasn't even a bit of a catfight. He came out after the show and we got a picture of the threesome, I mean the three of us! :love1: Callie will have to post it when she gets home. He chatted with Marty from my phone, too, so I guess that makes it a foursome?:confused3

And Cheryl, thanks again for picking up our passes for us. My mom and I really appreciate it!:grouphug:

In total agreement with this post. :)

...and am missing the little perks pamphlet. Bummer, I was going to look at it!! Just to wish probably anyway.

You could probably call Jim and ask for him to send you one. When I very first sent away for info, they sent one of the Perks pamphlets to me along with the Dreams book.

Molly - I'm sorry I missed you!!!

You saw me, we just weren't introduced. I was standing at Cafe Orleans when you came in...I think we were slowly figuring out our bill while you were there, but we were definitely there at the same time. :)

...stupid penny press mission of mine dont you love neurovariations...

http://www.parkpennies.com/disneypennypress.htm shows the Sword and the Stone penny at Princess Fantasy Faire. It seems to be where the Sleeping Beauty penny was supposed to be, but I have never seen a machine up there. However, I believe others found the machine (though it's possible it wasn't working...someone's penny quest machine (people had different penny quests, in case you weren't aware of that) was Out Of Order and I think it was the one with Sleeping Beauty) so it DOES exist.

Molly, I'm glad that you are still connected tonight, I have a special request for you... Have a Pina Colava for me!!!

I did indeed have a PC for you! It was good.

I won't be able to write a trip report, b/c I stopped taking notes midway through Friday, and have no cohesive memories of the weekend. The way everything was organized, groups formed, changed, did other things...people melted away to do tours or meals or sleep etc...so the group I was with kept changing, and it makes it hard for me to remember what happened first. Well, except for riding Splash...how could I forget having the entire lower half of me absolutely sopping, dripping wet???? And then having to wash Splash water off of my face so I didn't get some horrible disease from duck poop. :rotfl: Amy/Grumpyvet, that would be zoonotic, yes? :upsidedow (or something like that)

Steph, did you ever get back to Point Mugu (or whatever the temp tattoo place is called)? Make any purchases?
