waiting for those trip reports!!
I do not do trip reports so here goes for last night.
I slept in and finally caught up on sleep, sorry. I got sent to Simba then was told to make a right which meant me driving around the parking structure and finally back to the parking structure. Management messed up the parking structure and it was about a 40 minute wait.
The people stuck in the right three lanes could not move to the new lanes opening up. Idiot manager is directing traffic where it is not needed. The two right booths had one CM so we in the right 3 lanes waited up to an hour while people in the far left lanes got into the parks in under 15 minutes. By that time my foot was killing me from holding down the brake and inching forward.
Long walk to the tram but as usual the nice CMs spread the magic. I went to City Hall and they said to complain online, oh well. I went over to DCA and up to Ariel's and got a reservation for the next show. I then went down and took lots of notes on the carts. I did not get to get the bucket of kettle corn and the bucket of cotton candy, rats
I came back to Ariel's and a Make a Wish family showed up and their reservation was lost. I offered to let them have mine but the father just stormed off. I tired and felt sorry for the CM greeter and she looked and looked and was willing to switch the reservation.
Ariel was her usual gracious hostess but we did not chat as I was hungry. The lady wrangling people was not seating me so I asked if she had me and she said yess and if I wanted to greet Ariel. I had been the first one called and came through the elevator but she was too busy with people on the stairs so I asked. I got a seat immediately in the center of the room and a family of four was next to me. Nice kids but dad please stop threatening the kids with a wapping.
I was busy taking notes. The chef came out and got my order. Pico de Gallo is off limits, do they even carry that, they must. The little girl across from me on my right had a Snow White Dress on and was so cute. What do they put in the yellow jello? I would pass on salami ladies it is not really that great and I prefer salami and other meats like that with mustard.
Dinner was tri-tip which is salty again, garlic mashed taters, and I ate all of the squash, omg, I ate all of the squash. I do not eat squash unless it is cold and rarely. I met Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, and Belle. I then headed around the pier taking more notes. I had my form home cornbread with butter. Their pesto sauce uses yoghurt and had no flavour to me. For dessert I had the cherry pie with pits that I brought from home. The pie filling triggered SID because it was way to watery but the crust was just right. I love eating here even if the meat is oversalted. Then I rushed up front for a quick pit stop and drop off the scooter.
I skidded into Rosewood at 15 to 6 so I told Jose what mom wanted, halibut with baked potato. I called mom from their phone then ran to the bathroom thus leaving Jose to talk to mom. She likes jose and never is mad after talking with him. I got home and gave mom dinner then hid in my room catching up on internet stuff.
Back to the parks was not much of a problem then seeing as I never seen much of the ladies I headed over to DCA for my rental then around DCA for a while then got to see the fireworks. In DCA I did research for the question about little green army men and found them in Engineer Toys. I got to Buzz just as the fireworks ended. I parked and waddled at top speed and only had to wait about 10 seconds for the ride vehicle. WOW now that is a fast line where I just waddled fast and almost got on without stopping but the people in front of me did not even have to stop. I then researched the little green army men and checked pins just in case, no luck, just the bucket. Then off to Space mountain for one last ride. Innoventions was cloesd as is usual that late at night. It was cold and all I had on my lap was the mickey beach towel I bought at DCA.
The best part was the gluten free bun on the hot dog. I kept checking my pulse as the bun did not taste different like them tapioca buns and had that shiny dark brown crust. I had chips and a coke and more popcorn. After that I headed to the Opera House and parked in there for a while. I watched the movie on Tomorrowland and was munching popcorn and drinking Coke. Very interesting movie with history of Tomorrowland rides and shows but it skipped the Fashion show, I forget the name, lol. I realized that since October, 1960 I have ridden every thing and seen everything but Videopolis, Maliboomer, cannot remember Captain Eo, and some of the shows in Tomorrowland like that fashion show. We may have seen them and probably did but I cannot remember them as I would have been aged 3 to 8.
I talked to a CM for a while then parked my ECV and checked out. What a long walk and I am talking to Dr. Wong and seeing about an ECV. I have not seen my bank statement or credit card bill and am scared to look. While at the parks last night I left my baby blue blanket on the car roof and it was waiting for me when I got home which meant detouring off the 5 onto the west 91. Either way gets me home but the 5 north was totally closed and detouring onto the 91.
Like wow Mary Jo was on my team,, I need to read these threads more often and pay attention. I now will have to work on the notes for the parks, catch up on internet stuff and get over the wheat reaction from the nachos. It was small thankfully but I really wanted to do the character breakfast.
I am open to San Diego and DLR and Los Angeles day trips but have to be home each day to feed mom. Other people in wheelchairs adapt and cook their own meals but I have to be there to serve her.
Thanks for the memories
hugs
Laurie
Yes I did use a CM for a pylon and did donuts around him with my ECV
