Girls Only Disneyland Trip!! Old thread. New link in first post

My EVERYTHING is swollen. My hands, my feet, my legs... I was getting in the tub this morning, because apparently I am now to fat for the shower.. Everytime I turn around, the curtain mysteriously opens. Anyhow.. I saw my reflection in the mirror, and almost keeled over. Who knew someones body could actually stretch SO FAR! I was getting off the couch the other day, and made a wierd grunting sound.. My som looked at his dad.. I havent heard her make THAT sound before. Smarty pants.

We have been talking about where we are going to go from here... baby having wise. I feel like I am to young to make a permanent decision right now. But at the same time.. 4 kids!! I dont know. We will give it a year before really talking about it I think. Im sure by then we will be sure..

Isnt it always when you say you just want ONE more.. thats when the multiple thing rears its ugly head! My husband works with a guy who just wanted ONE more.. Ended up with triplets! Multiples run rampant at his work.. I think it is in the coolant.

Well, the good news is once you deliver, you will lose weight quickly! Between the babies, all the fluid you are retaining and everything else you will be amazed. I lost like 30 or 40 pounds in one month! Not "real" weight, but just everything I was carrying around and retaining. And my feet got back to normal!!

I can't imagine having triplets!! Having another set of multiples was not a gamble I was prepared to make so we decided to quit while we were ahead.

Definitely keep us updated!! It's always good to hear from you. Take your laptop into the hospital when you go in so you can give the DIS ladies a blow by blow.

Alrighty, i'm about ready to go to my parents for the weekend.
This morning i made yummy food to take over.
Country gravy with sausage ..so all we have to do is bake the biscuits
Individual meatloaves with bbq glaze on top and mashed potatoes
Green chili chicken to go in tacos..
Meatballs to go on toasted rolls with a little of that sauce i made and froze
Cinamomon tea.. this is the best..just boil cinamonon sticks and drink..it is so good for you and lowered my blood pressure Big time!
And i made a fresh fruit salad!

So now we will spend the weekend playing Canasta and Skipbo!
Ahhhhhhh i lead such a glamourous life

I have to tell you guys this funny story.

This weekend I was with the twins in a public restroom and while I was washing my hands, Hannah had already finished and wandered over to the machine they have on the wall that sells the feminine products.

Anyway, she was reading it and then turned to me and said, "That's silly mom. Why would anyone buy a napkin when they have paper towels here for free?"

I just looked at her, totally not ready for that conversation, and said, "Ummm yeah, good point. Let's go."

Ok Ladies - I am off to Las Vegas in a few hours!
Might not be back on the DIS all weekend since I haven't decided if I am going to bring my laptop or not. Have to decide if I really want to carry it - but I can't imagine going 3 days without checking email!
Anyway, BETH - I know you have my cell phone # if plans change for TGI Fridays on Sunday. If not, I will see you there at 1:00! I will look for a lady with 8 yr old twin girls! Can't wait to meet all you LV Ladies!
Oh - I will want the Shutterfly info eventually but don't really need it until after the trip!

my story like that..was when i was about 6 and i saw a box of my mom's pads and i said.. what's that.. she said.. don't mess with those..they are for when you have a headache.

well.. a couple of days later she comes in and i'm laying on the couch with a maxi pad stuck on my forehead.. she was like.. OHMYGOSH.. what are you doing?! and i said.. i have a headache

Ok ladies, here's the deal: I want the Mickey headband so am planning to order it anyway--just wouldn't pay the expedited shipping and such just for me (because I received my color-coordinated tiara yesterday--of course now I need something else because we're wearing them every day).

If you all want to order a minimum of 9 additional items I would be willing to order with the expedited shipping and take a chance it would get here on time. That means the headbands would be approx. $5 each (and don't remember what the tiaras are, but it would be approx. $4 shipping plus the cost of the item.

If you want me to still order for you--with the risk that it won't get here in time--let me know by SATURDAY AT 5 P.M. The seller is out until Monday China time so that would give me Sunday to order.

Otherwise, I will NOT be ordering the Mickey headbands and tiaras--so in that case you are all on your own finding your bling to wear!

PM me if you have any questions. There were approximately 30 pieces we originally wanted so it won't take many to put in the order. If we do decide to order and they come late I will take care of getting them sent to you.

I think I am going to opt out. Thanks anyways!

Today after school, I was out helping with bus duty. A co-worker and I were discussing the upcoming puberty class that the 5th and 6th graders take. We got to talking about kids growing up and that sort of thing. She mentioned that one of her own kids was asking what "napkins" were and why they cost 50 cents.

I just thought it was ironic that I read Beth's post right before that. Weird.


But onto the subject of the puberty class. The 6th grade boys in my class are a wee bit too excited. Lucky me, I get to sit in on the girl class.

My DD was 4 weeks early. She was 5 lbs 14 oz. She was so tiny. My doctor said if I had gone all the way to my due date, Maddie would have been pretty big.

I took health class my junior year in HS and we were supposed to watch a movie on childbirth. I figured how bad could it be. I knew everything already. Easy way to pass the time. They started out showing the whole thing!! Complete with an episiotomy!!! I felt sick to my stomach and asked to leave the room. I said I never, ever wanted kids.

Talk about being traumatized!!

I hope everyone has a good weekend. The "pad" stories have me in stitches. I remember when I told Bree about the birds and the bees, she didn't believe me. Funny how they change their minds about boys later on!

My DD was 6 lbs, 15 oz. She felt like 25 lbs coming out. Good luck Megan, keep us posted on your progress.
