It's always good to make something positive of a bad situation.

Plus when someone has done something bad to me in the past. I try to do something good for a stranger, to remove that bad person from the situation and change my mind frame from the negative to remembering who i am at my core and not allowing the bad situation to lower me to a level i don't want to be at.

To Molly I am sorry you guys are still sick. Shelby is STILL coughing too but I think it is just one of those things that takes forever and a day to get through. ((hugs)) and I hope you see the light soon.

Yesterday I met my new therapist and I really like her but when shane spoke with her she mentioned that she worked with the military and would be helping them and I thought she meant just once a year but she goes away every few months so I am not sure I am going to like that. She said she has a colleague I could meet with when she is gone so we shall see. I may just meet with the colleage and stay with them. It just seems like it would get old switching all the time. Then I FINALLY will meet with the psychiatrist next Tues for the meds part. Anyway then mom and I met for lunch which was nice and then I am going in to work today instead of Friday because I have my post-op with my uro tomorrow. So busy busy week this week. Shane gets paid today so I am going to see how it looks and we will make our final determination about our plans for this weekend but it looks like we will most likely go to dinner and a movie on Sunday for our anniversary since we still have our gift cards left over from soccer. And it is up in the air about Monday. There is quite a bit of snow up in Truckee but the traffic is pretty bad. So not sure about doing anything or not.

The good news is I checked the bank and I got my fed refund today!! So I can pay off my cc and that is my trip money!! Don't know WHEN I will get my state one but someday I suppose. But that helps! Anyway I am off to take Lynn to school here in a minute and then workout and off to work.

Good morning ladies. I am sick! Yuck! Woke up at 3am not feeling too good. By 4am I was sicker than I have been in a long time. Thank God my parents now live near us (yes, I truly am thankful for this. I have a great relationship with them and my mom in particular is a huge help EVERY day!)
Anyway, she will be watching the kids today as I can't get too far from a bathroom!
Hopefully I will get some rest this way.

I missed most of the alcohol discussion, but feel like I have to put my two cents in....I fell in love with Lemon Drops (yep, tastes just like the candy) at my ex-work's holiday party. I could get into BIG trouble with those!!!!!
Seems like there's quite a lot of people interested in doing Mousequest. Could we do two teams? I won't have email access for the rest of the day, they're kicking me off here. Many of you have my cel phone, if we can work it out, let me know! Or, simply add me in and then we'll figure out the details. I could try making the calls and getting in on it tomorrow.

Oh, and I'm putting it out there again....anyone want to meet me on Tues., 2/17 to go around DLR for my bday? Or maybe just for lunch or something?

Well, I've been reading but haven't felt much like posting. Tomorrow Ruben will take Adam off for his surgery while I stay with the girls to get them off to school.
Funny, before he went to bed Adam gave me a hug and told me it was going to be ok.

I hope everything goes smoothly for Adam today! I'll keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

Morning everyone! Thank you all for the well wishes, thoughts and prayers. It means a lot to me.
I just heard from Ruben and they are on their way home. So far it seems like everything went smoothly. He had some pins put in and now will be in a cast from his finger tips half way up his arm. Geez, all this for a tiny broken finger!!

But I am glad it went ok. I hope it continues to heal and there is no infection!
Well, I'm off to get in the shower before they get home. I'll check back later.

Michelle: I'm thinking the same thing--two teams. However, someone else would have to take ownership of registering the other team tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. sharp on line-last year it "sold out" at 8:40 a.m. We would need email addresses and actual names for each participant.

I have Dawn's and Wendy's info. I am waiting to see if Tina is in.

Stacerita, lulubelle and Zoemakes5 have also indicated interest. So, if Tina's hubby wants to play on a team, that would make 8 and would be perfect. (Hmm--maybe we would have to split them up to make it even more competitive . . . . )

I'm thinking we should sign up for the "basic" contest (rather than advanced) since many of you are newbies (everyone but me?)

So, is there one among you who would be willing to be the captain of the other team and make the ressie in the morning and prior to that get the name/email info?

Although it might get crowded, my house is available for anyone who wants to sack out that weekend. (Michelle--this starts early so you won't want to be driving up that morning).
