I was an Amazon.com Customer Service rep. I used to talk people through the website on a daily basis. Some of whom used things like WebTV and had NO idea what they were doing...AOL users, back in the late 90s, could get awfully confused too, b/c they were used to AOL being its own universe and didn't like leaving it. I loved talking people through websites.

Then "they" decided that we weren't allowed to do that anymore, and the job changed.

This is so sad... I was trying to add another phrase to my profile and in doing so, it erased the scrolling "I believe" that the tag fairy had given me I had no idea that adding a line would erase what was already there How have others gotten 2 or 3 lines in their profile? Is it all the work of the tag fairy?

Our trip is going on when we have Daylight Savings Time...meaning Sunday morning we lose an hour because of the skip ahead thing....All it means is we have 1 less hour to sleep....and that means we get to Disneyland 1 hour earlier than normal.... Just thought I'd post that in case I wasn't the only one that didn't realize it.

I always *say* it in the accent, but written out I liked it with normal spelling. Kinda sneaks up on you like that...that's why it took me ages (relatively) to figure out where it came from.

I just finished watching that Dateline show from last night with the mom of the octuplets. I'm not sure what to make of it.
I didn't know this, but of the six kids she already had, 1 is autistic, 1 has ADHD, and 1 has a speech delay. And they say with the 8 babies because they were preemie their odds of problems are much higher as well. It's hard enough to raise kids, but when you add special needs into the mix...... yikes.

I remember when Adam was diagnosed with Sensory Integration Disorder as a toddler and we had appointments for occupational and speech therapy, it seemed overwhelming to me at times. And all that meant for him was he had issues with certain foods and textures. That is nothing compared to what she's going to have to deal with.
Honestly, I don't know how this woman is going to do it. It boggles my mind.

Octo-Mom is going to do it with lots and lots of public aid. Don't get me wrong--I'm a bleeding heart liberal generally--but this really makes me mad. I feel sorry for the kids--and wouldn't want to deprive them--but as far as I am concerned this woman should be put in jail (along with her doctor). What she did is unconscionable. And she wants to be a psychologist or something? No, she needs one! I think she's a wacko!

Click on the picture of Tink and them move that up one or two clicks, then move up the first line of text the same number of clicks, then the second line of text. Just make sure you look at the entire design before you buy to ensure the whole thing is visible. You can do it

I became a chiropractor b/c I wanted to get free care! Then the guy whose advice I listened to most about technique started insisting that we pay for our care! What was the point? I quit then.

Update on my long illness. We now have a name for it. BAckground: I've been seen posts in various places describing this very same illness. Some have been diagnosed with strep b/c of a red throat. Some have not been diagnosed with strep (b/c of a negative test), but have been given abx (I think we all know who that is, b/c she takes pictures at the store!). Some others with the same symptoms have been diagnosed with flu!

So I've come to the conclusion that no one knows what it truly is, but it's SO BAD that it needs its own name.

The same day we came up with that, was the day that Alex Rodriguez "came out" about having taken steroids. I have NEVER seen Robert react so strongly to steroid news. He almost cried. A-rod started here, in Seattle and Tacoma (the Rainiers), and people feel connected to him. I was reading about AR, and wowie, he STARTED terrific.

Robert knew the guy was always astonishing, and it has cut him to the core that AR suddenly decided he "needed" to play really well, and that necessitated steroids. Like that wasn't needed when he was 17 and signed with Seattle, but then some team throws *guaranteed* money at him, and suddenly he has to play well. When he was playing well to begin with.

Anyway, this is just the worst news for hubby, and as I was reading about AR's start and how great he was from the beginning, It's bad for me too!

And that was it. What's really bad and rotten and sucks? That would be this illness AND Alex Rodriguez.

So after a few variations, we've named this disease The 'Guez. We hate The 'Guez.


And especially b/c Robert's home with it again today. Went to work yesterday, stayed home today. E now has the same split in his lip that I got. He now has the same utter hatred of water that I had. I had to get soda at a certain point b/c it was palatable to me...maybe I should give him some of the natural, real sugar, soda Robert bought me, just to get SOME liquids into him. Robert, however, is sleeping. He had a horrific headache, and he NEVER keeps track of when he takes pain relief, and managed to take a total of 800 mg of ibuprofen before he told me he took ONE. Said they just weren't helping...yeah, he probably let 15 minutes go between each pill...takes an hour for ibu to start helping when I take it...so he's been sleeping for hours, b/c we're medicine lightweights around here, and things knock us out.

I'm well enough to be pissy. And annoyed that everyone is still sick. What a joy!

But last night as I put a load of laundry in without having to take a break just to breathe, and as I walked down the hall without banging into a wall...I thought "she's BACK" and felt very house-tigress-like, if that makes ANY sense at all.


So that's my update. Hope no one else gets The 'Guez, but if you do and you got a diagnosis of some kind, list it here. It's amusing to me, what each doctor's take on the same set of symptoms is. But at least Wendy's doc did at least one actual test!!! Better than most!
