Hi friends!
I've been trying to keep up, but there's been quite a bit of chatter lately!
Beth, I'm so happy to hear you're on the mend. Rest up, girl!
Well, just when I thought I was all set for the trip, a new client wants me to cook tomorrow. So my Wednesday will consist of shopping at Whole Foods for all the supplies and cooking five dinners for a family of four. Then home for final packing a hopefully a bit of sleep.
I can't wait for Thursday!!!!!

Terri can't come at all. No Pizza party ( I never paid for her but I will if I need to, just let me know) No tour, but Donna is going on it. Donna wanted to come to CC, so I thought she should have Terri's spot, right? But I did offer 1/3 of my chair to Cristabel, who I think we should be able to smuggle in.

Also, no Chip and Dale Breakfast for Terri either.

Thanks. I heard from Donna and got it all updated on the front page.

Again, I'm sorry Terri couldn't make it though. Did you move to a different hotel room?

About a month ago, I bought the cutest little Tinkerbell backpack at Walmart. It's not a regular size backpack......it's little.....but perfect for just me and my stuff. Her wings are even sparkly......so CUTE!

LOL--I didn't mean that you shouldn't do it, just that I put it off as long as possible. My hairdresser for a while was that wild guy on QVC--Nick Chavez--and he told me not to get it started because once you do you can never stop--and he's right!

Same here! But I don't care. My hair is too brittle, and thin to dye it so it will just have to be gray.




I am bringing mittens. I hate having cold hands.




I found the perfect solution for me. At Walmart they have mini backpacks for 7 bucks. It's great because it's smaller then a full size back pack and yet large enough so haul all my junk and water bottles.

I'm bringing gloves too--it was COLD last Fri nite before the accident. (and after). Wish I had time to go to Wal-mart.

I don't think she did. We are sharing her room on Thursday night, both names will be on the room. After that, she might be moving in with others, or another gal might be coming (someone who wasn't sure when we last PM'd).

The weather report keeps changing, so just come prepared. Remember, even if it rains at some point, that clears out the air and empties out the park!!!

What are you ladies taking to carry your stuff in the parks? I lost/misplaced my special backpack that I use exclusively for DL So I have to go buy something because my dickies bag is way too TINY for DL.

I am using my Columbia sling/pack thing. I love it. I almost bought a baggalini, but then it wouldn't make it here in time.

I'm scared to cut my hair short.

So was I until January. But then I thought it would look terrible, but I actually love it!! I was one of the last of the ladies (in my group of friends) to go short!! Our friend AMBS she is a stylist. So I had total confidence she wouldn't screw up. I closed my eyes, shed a few tears & then it was done.
It is so nice, I love it. Except for flat ironing it everyday its not bad.

Can someone tell me the cost of the pizza party? I'd love to come. Also, the 'bags and candy' mentioned in the first page... I can do that if I know what it is, unless you have specific partners that you were buying for. So if someone could link me to the right posts, or just explain what's going on and what I can do to be a contributor if possible, I would appreciate it!

If you don't mind normal water, you can just ask for ice water at counter service places, even if you're not buying anything else.

You herd all of us cats so well and keep us so well organized. Have you considered a career in event planning? With all those conventions in Vegas, there's got to be some good opportunity. You are an incredible organizer!

And you can put me and QueenDoOver as roomies for Friday and Saturday.

My kids seem to be on the mend. I just need Beth to get better and come over here and help me get organized now (we'll start with my job and then go on to cleaning, laundry, packing, etc...) I'm hopelessly disorganized and distracted this week.

Hi Ladies!!! I made it safely - after a somewhat rough flight. I did not cry (too much) because there were children nearby and I did not want to start a crybaby chorus! I feel so brave, flying all by my lonesome

I don't really like churros. Don't get me wrong--I'll eat them--but they're not my favorite thing.

Ummm, I'm not a churro fan either - don't understand what the fuss is all about...

Shhhhhhhh........they're okay, but not my favorite thing either. Also (gulp), I've never had a Dole Whip. The reason......there's always a huge line.

Also not a Dole Whip fan - but I will join in when we get the Dole Whip picture for Bawb. Anyone want to actually eat it for me?????

i don't like Churro's either. ..my DH got me one when we were getting ready to watch the fireworks..and i was glad it was dark.. cuz i just licked the cinamomonon and sugar off then threw it in the trash.

I am the LAST person to ever judge anybody's hair! Mine is always a frizzy mess.
Especially compared to my sister and friend who have beautiful shiny sleek (natural) blonde hair! My friend Rayna looks like a Barbie doll. No joke! But she is just as beautiful on the inside - which is what really counts, right?

Mine is frizzy right now - it always does this when I travel. The tiny bottles of conditioner are not enough for my hair either

A co-worker found my first gray hair a few years ago. I made her pull it out. DBF has a few but he doesn't believe me.

Boys never want to admit they're getting older. When I first told my DH that I thought he was "thinning" a bit on top, he thought I was being a mean liar...... Until someone else told him the same thing. Now he believes it!

Hey Chris!!! I'm glad you can make it Thursday! It's $10 payable to Stacie (Stacerita). You can probably just pay her the night of the party and that covers food, drinks, etc.
And the candy is for our candy buffet. Everyone is just bringing a bag or two (enough for approx. 30-35 people) to share. Then there will be little goodie bags for each person to fill up with all the candy varieties.

Just post if you have any other questions.

Pizza party is $10. We've mailed our money in but at this late date you are probably better paying there. The candy - they want us to bring two bags of our favorite candy to be spread out as a candy buffet.

The tote is a game exchange and you can't personalize them as you don't know who will get yours. See page one on this thread for a numbered list of rules for the tote exchange. That is optional, btw, in case you are overwhelmed. Whoever brings a tote, gets a tote.

Let us know if you can't find the post on page one about the specifics of the tote exchange.

Ok so I have made the cake for my husbands birthday tomorrow and got my money in order for the trip now I need to finish packing, shave my legs and wrap my husbands gift...I am so lucky to have a friend staying here right now to watch the kids!

Have to say - the park was great today. I would not say it is empty, but the wait times are the best I've ever seen (Nemo was 30 minutes today, which was the longest on the board). Most everything was 5-10 minutes or just walk on.

Tina and Callie - I saw your boyfriend yesterday! I have to say, that "pros-teeth-is" is HOT!!!

I made it on Indy today with a 10 minute wait, but I gotta say, this is not my favorite ride - way too jerky/bumpy/need a chiropracter afterwards for me. I was glad that I've done it now, but probably not again.........

Love the fried chicken at the Plaza - although it is WAY too much for one person (this is a big issue - I don't like to waste food, but no one to share it with ) I tried the pasta at the French Market yesterday and I did not like it (yuck) - but the corn bread and veggies were good (and the cheesecake, if I'm being honest )

The weather was gorgeous today - not too hot. It's funny - I was comfortable in pants and a t-shirt, but I saw some people in full jackets, sweaters. I would have expired if I was trotting around in that all day...
