Eww, I don't like walking around cold. I hope it doesn't get too bad.

(sorry, we were typing at the same time)

To show how fast things change, Sat, the day of your scavenger hunt, is now predicted to be 100% pure sunshine (not even a cloud)! :hourglass pixiedust:

In fact, as of this minute (and it could change), three of the four days starting with Thursday (can't see Monday yet) are sunny!

(fairykn, I get mine on my Iphone)

Love the fried chicken at the Plaza - although it is WAY too much for one person (this is a big issue - I don't like to waste food, but no one to share it with :sad2:) I tried the pasta at the French Market yesterday and I did not like it (yuck) - but the corn bread and veggies were good (and the cheesecake, if I'm being honest :rolleyes1)
:rotfl2: How funny. I don't like the chicken and loved the pasta. Just goes to show different strokes for different folks.

Like some people on this thread not liking POC or Fantasmic......:sad2: :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

:cool1:

I was stressing over the weather and finally decided to just let it go. I mean, it is what it is. Can't change it. We'll just have to come prepared and make the best of it. :) And still hope for the best. :wizard:

Have to say - the park was great today. I would not say it is empty, but the wait times are the best I've ever seen (Nemo was 30 minutes today, which was the longest on the board). Most everything was 5-10 minutes or just walk on.

Tina and Callie - I saw your boyfriend yesterday! I have to say, that "pros-teeth-is" is HOT!!!

I made it on Indy today with a 10 minute wait, but I gotta say, this is not my favorite ride - way too jerky/bumpy/need a chiropracter afterwards for me. I was glad that I've done it now, but probably not again.........

The weather was gorgeous today - not too hot. It's funny - I was comfortable in pants and a t-shirt, but I saw some people in full jackets, sweaters. I would have expired if I was trotting around in that all day...:happytv:

:lmao: It's one way to tell where people are from, how bundled up they are! Indy is the maximum ride I can handle - and it's really on the edge. It does bounce your back around. I hope you did SINGLE RIDER? You should not have had to wait, being one person.

Ask me if you don't know what that is....

Thanks. I heard from Donna and got it all updated on the front page. :)

Again, I'm sorry Terri couldn't make it though. Did you move to a different hotel room?
Okay, I think you got it. Yeah, I am bummed about Terri. I was really looking forward to hanging out with her without the baggage, ya know. Unless you consider 40 other women baggage, hmm??

So, Donna is my Thursday night roomie and Jen is my Fri, Sat Roomy. All set:)

And I have to say, it was just too too nice to see all the response and offers of help for my situation. What a great group of ladies.

Oh and yes, Cristabel is the 3rd Mousketer and we are thrilled to have her.

If you don't mind normal water, you can just ask for ice water at counter service places, even if you're not buying anything else.

Yep, the locals call that Anaheim water, so I am told. I drank tons of it my last trip and thought it was just great! I love getting anything free at Disneyland!

Ladies, I am sad to say that I am majorly PMSing, which is just wrong, since dear old aunt flo arrived on Feb. 12 just in time for the family trip and she simply can't come on this one! Argh!

It is a great group! :goodvibes

Dumb Aunt Flo!! She's always shows up when she's least welcome.

Sounds like such a nice day at the park. Those wait times are GREAT!:thumbsup2

The first time I rode Indy, I thought it was bumpy and jerky too, but the more I rode it, the less jerky/bumpy it became, and with every ride it became more fun. It's one of my favorites now. I could ride it over and over.:woohoo:

The weather sounds heavenly.....I can hardly wait to get out of this crummy weather up here and down into some California sunshine! There's snow forcasted here for Thursday.....looks like I'm leaving just in time.:cheer2:

Well said!

BTW, when is check-in time at HoJo for these rooms?

Hi! I am so glad you posted how the day was.

I am sure that I will be fine in a shirt/light sweater and jeans at night. I am used to 20 degree nights and mornings. My hands get cold...so I may bring some gloves.

I am glad to hear that the wait times were short.:thumbsup2

Hi Ladies!!! I made it safely - after a somewhat rough flight. I did not cry (too much) because there were children nearby and I did not want to start a crybaby chorus! I feel so brave, flying all by my lonesome :thumbsup2

You are brave!

I've never even had a churro....I might have to distract someone who's eating one and grab a piece off of it so I know if I like it or not.

I totally agree. I think it is stress if you hold on too tight. You have to loosen up and go with the action and then it is a blast. I too could ride it all day. Hey, maybe I will:)

I'm not sure. 3:00 maybe? :confused3 We've always checked in later in the evening.

I cannot believe we are leaving the day after tomorrow!!!!
I'll admit I am nervous, scared, sad, and excited.
Nervous because I always get nervous before any trip. I just worry about what could go wrong, kwim?
Scared that my stomach will act up again! :scared:
Sad because I'm always sad when I'm away from my family. :sad1:
And excited because I'm going to Disneyland!! :yay:

As usual I had a really busy day today at work, so y'all were really busy here on the boards. Geeez, doesn't anybody have a trip to get ready for?

So, I don't have time to respond to everything but here's a few highlight thoughts from me:

1. Love churros, but only from Costco. Much tastier and much cheaper at only $1 each!

2. I hated Indy the first time I rode it back in 2001. It was broken down for most of our trip and finally on the last day we got in line and just stayed there thru the breakdowns, etc. Ended up waiting 3 hours and I was seriously let down when we finally got to ride. Didn't go back on it until about a year ago, and now I am seriously addicted. But, I always use the single rider line--it is so much quicker than even FP.

3. I am so sad that Cristabel left The Monkey Brides to go be a Mouseketeer! She didn't even wait to meet us before being scared off :scared1:   JK...

4. I am READY to be at Disneyland! So jealous that Theresa is already there and that Callie is on her way/already in CA. I wish I could fast forward time and make tomorrow be over already!!!

On Friday, I see we're scheduled for the photo at PFF at opening (9). What is the breakfast plan, esp for the VIP people?

Exactly! If you're all stiff on the ride because you're nervous, you're body doesn't move with the action. I'm a loosy-goosy on it now. It doesn't feel herky-jerky to me anymore. Weirdly, for me, the ride vehicle has more of a rollie feel.

One last HoJo question, probably for Theresa --

What is the walk like from the hotel to DL?

We don't have a group plan. It is BYOB:) But, I can highly recommend the Tomorrow land terrace breakfast platters and/or burritos etc. Maybe get some ladies in line and then send a small smattering to grab some breakfast?

And then there is the Blue Ribbon Bakery, but the line seems to be long for that.

Maybe leave the hotel early and hit McDonalds on the way in. I may go that route, because it does not take precious park time and I am an early riser anyhow. I actually like there coffee too!
