Girls Night

At least once a month myself and my two neighbors go out for diinner. We also have season tickets to a local theater, which gives us 6 shows, so on those nights, we do dinner & the show.

I also do the once a month girls night out - we usually do dinner and drinks and usually I have too many drinks and feel like poo-poo the next day when I am home and taking care of 2 small kids. Sometimes we end up dancing or at Howl at the Moon (thinks Jellyrolls)....but these nights are very much needed for me since I decided to stay home full time this past January.

I would love a girls weekend away, but it would be tough for us all to get a hall pass for that. Maybe when the kiddos get a little older! Anyway I think we need to take care of ourselves and nuture ourselves in order to be a good mom, wife, etc. If mom is happy....you know the drill.

I looooove my girly time. As a matter of fact, the girlies and i will be going on our second Girly Getaway on a two day cruise to nowhere. There are seven of us who go out to dinner, a movie, or all gather at someone's house and bring food and watch a couple of movies - no hubbies and no kids. My husband doesn't seem to resent it at all - heck, he drove us all to the ship the last time. Hey wait a minute - maybe he's just glad to be rid of me for a few days

I cant recall the last time that I actually went someplace with the girls. When I have a few mins I usually spend w/DH or alone.
