Girls getting their "cycle" earlier and their height?

Don't know if there really is any correlation to periods and height......but I'm 4' 10.5" and I got my period when i was 13. I think I grew a little after my period started.....but not by much. Although in my case both of my parents are short mom 5' 3" and dad is 5' 6" maybe 7"

I just say I never stood much of a chance LOL

I have been mildly overweight my entire life (my doctor has always said it's nothing to be really concerned about) and I started a month after I turned 12. I was about 5'5" at that time, and today I range anwhere from 5'5"-5'6" (I'm about to turn 18).

My mom was 11 when she started and, at the time, was about average weight. I don't know how tall she was, but she is about 5'4" today.
