Yes Beth, It is hot hot hot!

Yesterday was a record breaking 112!!! Our kids came over to swim, but Dave and I stayed inside. I was too lazy to change into a suit. Besides, when it is that hot, you have to stay in the pool the whole time. (I must be getting old.............that used to never phase me.)

The good news to all of this, is that on Wed. we are leaving this valley, and going to the beach. Woo hoo!!!

In a just a bit, Dave and I are off to Costco and the grocery store for our trip.

Oh and about Facebook. I can hardly keep up here, let alone another blog site. Maybe someday, when I am feeling adventurous.

Sarah, I love giving a new look to our house. Glad the painting is going well. And I always forget how close you are to Canada. I just don't associate WA with being so close, sorry!

It's all good. I have that issue with Europe...they are all so close together but I still can't get it in my head because, well, they are different countries!

Yep!!! And I hope it's a bit cooler today too.... It gets so hot inside that it's like working in a sauna Not fun.

Thank goodness it cooled off a bit. I am glad it is still sunny though, as we are painting the house and my dh is on a roll...I don't want him to be stalled!

It's good to be home! Got back yesterday, and we have all been sleeping like it's going out of style. I'm finally feeling caught up on rest.

I'm lost on the boards though. Tracey posted a picture of her boys in a hospital bed on FB. What's going on with her? Prayers being sent her way.

The big excitement in our house was that the car Bruce drove up to Phoenix with Nolan almost broke down on them on Wed. Bruce was a nervous wreck when he got to the hotel. He was scared that he was going to be stuck on the side of the road in 119 degree heat with our baby (17 months).

So....we went and got a van! I'm officially a mom now! Actually I really like it. It's a 2006 Dodge Caravan, and has almost all the bells and whistles. Only thing it lacks that I would've watned was a DVD player. We'll live without it though, it's not like the boys are that hooked on tv yet. I'm excited to have a 'new' vehicle, but not so excited about having a car payment again. Oh, and I love that there are vents on the boys now. I don't feel like I'm committing child abuse when I put them in a hot car anymore.

All of this drama caused me to miss out on dining with Stacie Thursday night though. I was so looking forward to seeing her again, and trying some of the wine she picked up. By the time we found a place to send the broken down car to, it was too late to drive out to her side of town. Too bad she couldn't have met us, but it wasn't meant to be this trip around. I'm hoping to see her again soon though...(Oct trip?).

It looks like everyone had a good time Thursday night. Happy belated birthday to Bridgette! You all do look beautiful in that pic, such Divas.

Oh, and for those of you curious. Nathan's meltdowns have dropped at least by 75%, and he will actually answer questions now! I've also gotten him out of the high chair, and sitting at the table eating. He didn't do that last week! I thank God for the autism center in Phoenix. I think they have changed our lives for the better. What a wonderful place. We were chosen for the intense part of the research trial. I was given a video camera, and I have to record us doing this for 15 minutes 3 times a week. I then get feedback and suggestions for the next time. I'm excited to know that I have another 3 months of help ahead of me. I'm actually feeling optimistic about school now!

Yeah! So glad things are looking up! And congrats on the new van!

Things are going ok with me. Did I tell you all I got a new suitcase for my birthday? Normally I just use my carry on, but with starting to travel with kids I am going to need to check bags so I got a nice 25" purple suit case with some great compartments! I am so excited about the trip in September!

I used to think the samething about joining Facebook (I wouldn't be able to keep up with another chat site) but I joined yesterday, and it's great. It's a different type of setup, and it moves fast. I think it's a lot of fun! Really, you should join and give it a try. At least try it. You may end up really enjoying it. And if you don't like it, then you don't have to go back. No big deal. (Peer pressure.........)

Afternoon all! Thanks so much Beth for the birthday wishes for my dad It looks like now we are going "out" to dinner instead of bbqing. It appears that mom isn't getting home from work till late and she didn't want to mess with cooking and didn't want to have dad having to bbq on his day. So we will go out somewhere possibly El Torito (if that is where he wants to go that is) and then back home for cake and ice cream.

Work was same ol same ol. Lynn got a lead on a job but it was selling Cutco Knives. I tried to tell her that anything in telemarketing is not very great and to probably pass that on by but she is the typical stuborn teen and of course NOTHING that I tell he she wants to listen to. I had to have my MOM tell her that is what probably not a good idea. So then my mom told her that the A&W was hiring so now she is up there putting in her AP. So we shall see. She is going up to Yuba City on Wed to turn in all her packets and claims she is done so I hope she is right. I will believe it when I see it! I HOPE she is though cuz I know it will be easier once she has her diploma. She won't need a work permit and I think it will just be easier period to get a job, not that it is easy at all right now.

Anyway I am just glad to be home and out of the heat. Luckily it isn't as bad today!

Got nothing going for tomorrow or the next few days!! Not till Friday thank goodness and Shane will even be gone this weekend and I think he is going to have Lynn go stay with some friends so it may just be me and the girls. That should be nice and relaxing. I am looking forward to that! Lots of sleeping in and fun mom and daughter's time!!

Cutco knives are very nice. I have a set, I LOVE THEM!!! But they are very spendy. The set up cost is pretty spendy also. You have to buy a set of knives to show. I thought you had to be 18 to sell them? Well atleast here in Washington you need to be 18.
