So I just got home a little bit ago from a day at DL with Stacielee and Michelle. Stacielee's younger daughter and her friends decided once mom had her own tribe, they would just go do their own thing.
We did Buzz several times. Stacie hit a new high!!!!!! Her score was so high, the counter on the car dash couldn't display it.
We had good guns.
I bettered my score each time. Last one for me was over 300,000. Of course this doesn't come close to the Mistress of Buzz, the Queen of Lightyear.
The weather was perfect and mild. We were going to eat at Carnation but it was closed. Then we walked to the BBQ but even though there were plenty of tables, the wait was 30 minutes! So we ate dinner at a place that Stacie and I had never eaten in before; Michelle had. It's the outdoor place in NO square by the train station, near Haunted M., where usually a little ragtime band plays. Fun to try new places in DL. Stacie took a photo of her cake that she'll upload when she returns.
The funny moment of the day was when I was going to buy some small figures. These are in bags so you don't know what three figures you're going to get. I pointed out the ones I was hoping for. Stacie starts feeling the bags. She says, this one feels like the Haunted car you want. Then Michelle feels and says, "This one feels like the Daisy witch you want."
I buy them, go outside and sure enough, got the Haunted car and Daisy! Amazing what you can do with a little help from your friends.
Dl also has a special now -- if you spend over $50, you can buy a bag for $20. We were pooh poohing that until we saw how good it was. It has wheels and it has a telescoping handle. It's black and says
Disneyland on the side. The size and shape is like a gym bag. I got one but then found it didn't fit in the small locker I had, so I carried it all day...
We did Star Tours and got to sit in the back row - definitely the best spot.
Saw lots of strange outfits; Beth would have enjoyed the people watching.
We left as the park was closing (sometime after 9) to get ready for grad night. It was just as well, as we were all dog-tired but happy.
