Hi Nicole! Welcome to my PTR... Sorry, no cure. Although I think mine is in remission since I can't legitimately change our resort any further - it would break my 10 y/o nephew's heart I think!

I'm sure DD's first trip will be fun - she's a very cheerful, but loud baby. She likes to yell "HI!" at strangers and loves hearing her own voice echoing when in a public restroom.

Just started reading your PTR! What a great surprise for your brother. Can't wait to read more and hear all the details when you return.

Just a quick update... I decided to cancel our dinner ADR at Cinderella's and just made the call. I can't justify the extra cost of paying OOP when we have plenty of other great reservations. Really no one in our party will be disappointed (thankfully DD is too young). We'll go another time when it's just the 3 of us. Plus that money can go towards our dog's pet resort fees since they've gone up to a hefty $35 a night... and he's there 9 nights! :scared1:

Hope everyone has a fun week!

I think you made the right decision. You probably made some other family very happy.:thumbsup2

35 bucks a night?:scared1:

Thanks! I think so too. I want to make sure we have plenty of $$ for tips as well.

As for the pet resort cost, yes, it's that much. We used to board him at our vet. We would have to literally drag him in there, and we had to pay extra for playtime. That was $18 per night in a cage and a couple times outside for him to go potty. This local pet resort has hours of indoor & outdoor playtime with similar sized dogs included, and he loves it there. They have individual rooms with beds and soft music. It's really funny. He seriously can't wait to go play and doesn't usually let us say goodbye to him! Costly, but we don't dread going on vacation now. :goodvibes

Sound like he's getting a pretty nice vacation as well.....:thumbsup2

Peace of mind when it comes to pets is definitely a priority in this family too.

After lurking on the food porn threads, I came across some Biergarten pics. Had to show them to DH and he liked what he saw too... soooooo, we canceled the Garden Grill ressie and are now dining at Biergarten on Sept. 1!

My mom's going to love this place - my dad's side of the family is of German heritage, so this will be a fun place to try.

In an effort to save some cash on our trip, DH and I decided to cancel the FL Tours limo. I just can't justify the expense in my head ($240 including tip! :scared1: ), especially with the economy being what it is. Will be taking Magical Express. :wizard:

It's so nice that you're looking after your little guy so well. I'm sure he knows he's loved. He'll be happy, which means you'll be happy.

Biergarten has delicious desserts! Anyone who wants to can go out on the dance floor. When we were there at Christmas, this older couple went out there and really did some awesome dancing. Everyone in the place was watching them! The kids can dance, too.

Good job on saving $240. That'll offset some of the pet sitting fees. ME might not be luxury, but it'll get you there.

I love all of your t-shirts and the lamp, too!

ME is good

Saving 240 even better.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. My brother-in-law came down and with DH's assistance, he repaired our fence. Yippee!

My sister and I took a trip to Michael's for some craft supplies. I have been wanting to make countdown calendars for Aubree (ok, it's really for me!) and Barry. I picked out the stickers, etc., and my 17 y/o niece made them for me. I think she did a great job! Can't wait to hang them up on Aug. 1. We did leave off Aug. 31 since we won't be here to mark off that day anyway.

This is Aubree's:

Have a great week!

Where have you been?

Hope all is well with you?

Hi Jordan! Yes, all is well. It's just been busy around here...I did try to get caught up on your report last night. So much fun!

We went to the Indianapolis Zoo on Saturday and Aubree loved it. I'll be posting a few pics here this morning. This little excursion showed us how much she loves animals! Every day she's said, "Walk? Animals? Giraffe? Zebra? Dolphins? Monkeys?" I'm getting the idea she likes touring with us. I'm sure glad we have our zoo membership! I took over 400 pics (crazy, I know), so I'm trying to pick just a few to share here.

Love the countdown calendar.

Here are some of the photos from our zoo trip. It was a wonderful day - in the upper 60s with a nice breeze and plenty of sun.

Inside the dolphin dome viewing area - you're supposed to keep voices to a whisper, of course Aubree was yelling "Hi Dolphin!" - had to tell her "Shhhh!"

Doesn't this Kodiak bear look like he's in a hot tub?

And then a zoo keeper threw him a bone... man, this bear ran over so fast!

Time to go home...

Hey Betsy!

I'm actually headed to the zoo tomorrow. DD4's preschool is doing a Family day there tomorrow. I'm hoping it warms up a little bit from today, if you know what I mean!

DD4's favorite thing is to watch the elephant bath. She has to do that every time we go, but I think we'll miss it tomorrow. It's usually at 11:00 and I don't think we'll be there that early, since the group is leaving Noblesville at 10:45!

I think you guys will have a great time at AK, although it's going to be a lot hotter in August there than in April in Indy!:scared1:
