Ginger Family Getaway: 8/30-9/6 Trip Report DAY 7 & 8 UPDATED 10/2

Great Easter pics Betsy!! Aubree is adorable in both the St pat pics aswell as the dis meet pics! I should have joined you guys for the Hoosier Dis meet but My scheduale is just so darn tight with 6 kids right now :(
Anyway! HAPPY EASTER!!!!!:goodvibes

Just to update anyone who saw my post in this thread about the storm damage we had in late January...

I'm glad I pushed our insurance adjuster to look at our roof again. There was damage, and we are now getting a new roof. The shingles and other materials were delivered on Friday and I was told the workers will start today or tomorrow. Plus we're getting a nicer dimensional shingle, so I think it will look nicer.

Still waiting to get our window and siding replaced... I think the new window goes in on Wednesday or Thursday.

Darnit! I can't see pictures on my computer here at school (darn security blockers.. ) I'll have to check this out again when I get home!!

I am happy to announce that we have a new roof!! The workers went nonstop except for a 10 minute lunch.

Now I just have to get the window and siding replaced. :thumbsup2

YAY! I finally saw all of the pictures. That stroller looks great, and really comfortable. She looks like she had a wonderful Easter... how's that carrot bat working out for you?;)

So far so good... she was swinging it around at her Daddy when he was taking a nap, but didn't make contact! She really likes this Rollipop toy that has balls you roll down a track. Although if I play with her, she grabs the balls before they can complete their journey! She's a little devil sometimes! :scared1:

And she's developed a major craving for little M&Ms!!

YAY for a new roof!! I hope you get your siding and windows done soon:goodvibes
I am hoping to get all new carpet in the house when we return from disney:thumbsup2

The planning continues... :surfweb:

Today I found some great deals on Disney t-shirts for our trip. :dance3:

Disneyshopping has a 1-day 25% off sale (code APRIL25 and then SHIPFOR5 for $5 shipping off a $50 order). I ordered several shirts for Jon, Aubree & I. Ended up being $3.74 each! Will take some pics once they get here.

updated 7/24/08

37 days left! Thought I’d share a rough draft of our itinerary. We’ll be enjoying lots of toddler-friendly attractions, afternoon naps, taking in all the theming, resting when needed, etc.

DH and I are planning on using the child swap for some of the rides, but I have also encouraged DH to go it alone with DN if they want more thrill rides or if we ladies need to return to the Polynesian for naps. I am not planning on getting up early any day except for our last day to catch our flight home!

Since we're now staying at the Polynesian, I'm REALLY looking forward to the monorail convenience and viewing fireworks from the beach!

Anyway - here are some pics. Will take more of the other orders tomorrow.

Just found your trip report. Great tees, disney shopping is the best, I just bought a couple of tank tops for our trip along with some new crocs.

Lots of shoppin booty.

Great itinerary.!!!!!

Naps..nice especially for the little ones although we found even with it being hot that they would crash in the stroller.

Hi guys!! Welcome to my new readers!

Yes, the rest of my goodies arrived today.

First of all - 3 lamps (just one shown). I LOVE THESE!! A great deal at $16.99 each!

and mine (see my little helper investigating the loot!) They looked huge until I tried one on. It fit ok but will be a little more loose by the time I reach my goal weight.

Jordanyosh - I am really hoping that Aubree sleeps in her stroller for naps. That would be ideal!

On another note, I bought us a family membership for the Indianapolis Zoo. I thought that would keep us busy this spring & summer. I haven't been in years, and its a shame since the zoo is so nice now!

That's all for now... hope everyone has a great weekend! It's supposed to be in the 60s and sunny here, so I am eager to take some walks with Aubree!

We love the Indy zoo! We're members too. Since the girls got along so well at the Indy DISMeet, we'll definitely have to schedule a day to meet there! DD6 is off on spring break next week, so if it's warm enough, we might head there one day. I'll let you know!

Cool! Sounds like a lot of fun!

Let's just start hoping for some good stroller sleeping MOJO.

Are you the type that will package your clothes when you pack? I've seen alot of people pick their outfits for each day and then put them in ziplocks...mostly for their children...

Thankfully, no ... the only time I did that was when I took her for 1 year portraits to keep each outfit together. Don't be giving me ideas - my mother thinks I over do it on the outfits anyway! I am addicted to Gymboree after all!
