Ging Gang Gooley - Come on Guys

Hi Everyone

I've just had a reply

The yurt will be furnished with the following:
futon matresses for 4
camping and cooking equipment
colourful rugs and sheepskins
night lights
wood burning stove

The tipis is as above but without the wood burning stove

Both have a fire pit and seating area outside

Jules

Wow that sounds fantastic - we would definitely be up for a yurt for the Friday and Saturday night please.

Tammy

One shall be slumming it in ones tent I'm afraid! one likes to get the authentic experience! am testing out my Ray Mears/Bear Grylls skills.

Thanks to Jules I am 50/50 in deciding whether to come or not !!

I really would LOVE to............ just thinking about the distance thingy though. Trains, buses etc. to get to the site. I've been to the Beacons before, years ago, and it's a beautiful area. I have also camped - but that was in Jersey around 15 years ago.

Keith has a (very) small tent he had when he used to do his mountain leadership courses with the Royal Navy, BUT the zip has broken. Would I be safe with a broken zip ? :lmao:

Not sure I fancy on my own in a tent - need some company or I get lonely !
Or I could share with someone who isn't taking a man ???

BTW you do all realise that I am probably the oldest, so I would have to be the Mother Hen, and look after you all and make sure you behave, as is fitting for a Disney camp trip :rotfl2:

Sue as per our pms we would love to have you along, as for behaving, please be warned we rarely behave. As Mother Hen would you do the cooking ? I am sure between us all we can figure out a way to get you there !

we are away to see the mouse on the 26th July, so you could of all come here and camped out in my garden:rotfl2: nice views by the sea and not too far from snowdonia- only down side is the next town Rhyl :rotfl:

Oh Jeanette thats kind - dont put ideas in our heads !

cheap train tickets here!, get your cheap train tickets here!
:rotfl2:
also depending on which tent I take you may well get your own room! I do snore though so be warned...
my man is coming but as he's 11 I reckon that's ok?

Sounds ok to me !! I think it's only fair to say that I would probably snore too - after a few Margaritas (and the rest).

You do realise as Mother Hen I would be in charge of the liquor though !! (drinking it I mean) :lmao: And as far as behaving goes - :rolleyes1

Still have a few things to work out but hopefully, fingers crossed, I can get there.

I reckon a train ticket would be about £50 return Sue, that ok?

Sue just had a thought, if you and Carol decide not to sahre, I have a small dome tent you can use, I have offered it to everyone and no takers at the moment. This would also mean you dont have to lug a tent onto the train, Ian and I can bring it for you, and if you are a very good Mother Hen, I bet I can pursuade Ian to put it up for you.

just estimated that on a bristol pick up Jules, mainly because thats where I'd pick up Jen_Uk if she decides to come. basically I'd get her from anywhere nearby but its a tad too early to get train tickets for July yet.
Also we may take you up on your dome tent offer, haven't sorted ours just yet but we need a new one anyway so I may get a new one and use it first at the GGG, if anyone else jumps in first thats fine too, we need a new one anyway

Thanks for this ladies. The dome tent offer does sound good I must admit. (if you squeeze it between another couple of tents I would feel safe) !!

I was looking and thought Merthyr Tydfil would be the nearest station for the site, but it does mean a couple of changes en route from here.

Is Bristol near then? I could look at that. I can't work out prices and such yet, as it keeps telling me I can't book more than 12 weeks ahead.

I'll be passing Bristol anyway Sue and will be picking up Jen and Alex if they go too so that would be easy, otherwise Merthyr is great, I can get you cheap train tickets but its too early yet.
