I am getting anxious to tie up my final details for our upcoming trip and had a question about the GOL store. Are the prices they charge pretty close to what Disney has or is the mark up large enough that I should wait until we get there? I want to get an Epcot Passport, GOH badge, and a pressed penny book. On the day we arrive we are making a trip to DTD so I am wondering if we should just wait until we get there to buy these items?

They do charge a bit more. I would wait until your there if you are going to DTD the first day. It is such a fun place to shop, they have EVERYTHING!

I hve used GOAL for the convience. It is a few dollars more though but Jane has always been prompt and gone above and beyond.

If you really want the stuff and prefer, try calling Disney direct, they will ship items to you. Except for the GOH badge, all the others are very easy to pickup.

It isn't the mark up that really kills it is the delivery charge. If you are having it delivered to your home that isn't nearly as pricey as having it delivered to the hotel room. Last April I had a few things sent over as a surprise for my parents, and I do mean a few things. Two guest of honor badges, 1 penny book, 1 autograph book and 1` fat pen the total cost was just over $50.00 with delivery. If I were you I would wait until I get there and pick up the items in the giftshop.

Yes.....wait. All the things you listed are at DTD and the resort giftshops as well (except the GOH badges). You will save $$$ by waiting.

We ordered two guest of honor badges from Gifts of a Lifetime before we went and they were something like $7.99, but with the shipping it was about 12 bucks for each. The price tag of $5.00 was still on the badges when we got them. I've heard you can get these at the Christmas Shop at DTD, so if you're going there your first day you probably could just get them then.

I ordered 3 GOH pins and recieived them today I think I paid approx 7.50each got them and the price tag on the back says 5.00 plus I paid 22.00 in shipping. I should of waited but I'm making a basket for the kids that will be in the room when we get there and thought it would be nice for the pins to be in there.

$22.00 for shipping?? I sure hope that was for more then just the pins?
