Gifts for Face Characters?

I understand the topic about giving CMs gifts (as well as many recommendations) has been well covered.
However, I have not found anything about gifting a Face Character a gift.

Can you give a princess a gift? How does that work if you can? I understand they are CMs as well but they also need to stay in the illusion of the character's world (unlike awesome servers/cabin attendents/etc.).

Has anyone done this? How did it work out? What did you give?

I know hugs are an accepted form of gift for face characters

I would think it would be challenging as they would have to put it somewhere. And then gather up whatever (because you know once one does it, more and more will be) and carry it on their own.

The only things I have ever seen anyone give characters - face or otherwise - are drawings. Those can easily be put in a pile to easily carry away.

I agree that the way the characters come and go with their handlers it would be difficult to receive and keep gifts during a meet and greet. I can't see them piling up gifts next to them and there is really no where to put something near them while they are greeting. If anything, I would leave a gift at Guest Service with a note on who you which princess you wanted it to go to

We have gifted a few small items for the face characters and left the items with Guest Services and we received a thank you back from the CM.
