Gifts for 5 year old triplets??

We are invited to a party for triplet girls turning 5. Do I get 3 gifts all the same or all different? Any ideas?

Personally if I did a group gift I'd still do a little present for each to open individually

If you wanted to do a group gift you could do a sprinkler, family zoo/museum/aquarium membership, etc. Then add in something smaller for each. A nice treasure chest style box with dress up clothes and accessories for each one.

Or you could do completely separate gifts that they could enjoy together a board game for each, etc. Or do completely separate gifts that cater to each personality hobby.

I guess suggestions would be easier if we knew your relationship with them and the amount you'd like to spend.

I would do individual gifts. Call the mom and ask if she has any ideas/what their interests are.

I would get them 3 individual gifts that related or that were similar to each other... individual gifts so each child feels special but similar/related gifts so one doesn't feel like she got a better (or worse) gift than her sisters.

For example... 3 different storybooks w/ a toy/activity related to the story.

3 different LEGOS "Friends" sets

3 different craft/activity sets

3 sand buckets w/ a personalized beach towel, sunglasses, bubbles, & sidewalk chalk in each one

Maybe a movie for them to share but get each girl their own blanket and a treat.

I am a mom to triplets who are girl, boy, boy and are now 10 years old. I can tell you that one gift is a bad idea. No matter how close the triplets are to each other they are still individuals. If they were just siblings with three different birthdays or if it was three different children from your child's class what would you do? Base that on what you would do for these kids.

As a mom to 4 kids money is tight and the best gifts my kids got over the years were giftcards like to the movies, Chuck E Cheese, Mcdonalds things like that, that are expensive for us to do and a rare treat.

Another idea would be to get them gift cards to Claire's or a place like that where they can pick their own jewelry, nail polish etc.

I know it means a lot to my kids to have their own items since they have to share so much with each other.

When my kids were younger and went to twin/triplet birthday parties for their friends, I always purchased separate gifts for each child.
