Gift Shops???

Hi everybody!

Just wanted to know if anybody knows about the gift shops at the DISNEY WORLD? I had a few questions hopefully somebody here can help me out with the answers

1) are there gift shops at every DISNEY hotel?

2) are you allowed to go to other hotels JUST to shop at their gift shops?

3) can you use Disney gift cards bought from Disney stores in like your mall or even off of disneystore.com at gift shops?

4) does anybody maybe know what some of the best gift shops are in Disney World ones i shouldnt leave without visiting???

DISNEY GIRL ... here you go...

1) are there gift shops at every DISNEY hotel?
Yes there are. Some Disney gift shops in the resorts have items also realted to the resort. Such as animals (stuffed with fluff, wooden, ceramic) and African items at AKL. At the YC/BC, you will find some nautical items. WL has woodland items. Even the Swan/Dolphin have Disney gift shops. All resort gift shops carry some WDW items (like autograph books, pins & landyards). If the resort also has a DVC, food items are also available.

2) are you allowed to go to other hotels JUST to shop at their gift shops?
Yes - The gift shops are normally located just off the lobby. Just ask any CM at the resort.

3) can you use Disney gift cards bought from Disney stores in like your mall or even off of disneystore.com at gift shops?
YES - in all the Disney WDW owned shops

4) does anybody maybe know what some of the best gift shops are in Disney World ones i shouldnt leave without visiting???

2) are you allowed to go to other hotels JUST to shop at their gift shops?Yes!

3) can you use Disney gift cards bought from Disney stores in like your mall or even off of disneystore.com at gift shops?I would think so-I can use my Disney Rewards card.

4) does anybody maybe know what some of the best gift shops are in Disney World ones i shouldnt leave without visiting??? Downtown Disney has the best gift shops!

Just make sure you make a trip to Downtown Disney for the World of Disney store. It's the Grand Daddy of them all!!! Not to be missed and plan on spending some time there Or maybe not so you don't go broke like we usually do in there

We love to visit the gift shops and they are not all the same!! Yes, you can visit the hotels and they have nice shops in them. We never miss Mouse Gear at EPCOT!! It is a big store with LOTS to look at!! The Disney store at Downtown Disney is also a must-see. It's HUGE!!! I'm a watch collector and always go to the watch store on Main St. USA at MK. Yes, you can use your gift cards at all the stores. If you have a Disney credit card from Chase, you even get a discount at many stores!! Enjoy your shopping!!

IMHO Contemporary has the best gift shop. The reason being, they technically have three separate shops, so more room for stuff. I think BC has the worst of the deluxes because the quick service is in the same store.

One thing I like about shopping at my hotels gift shop, is they have resort specific items there. I am not sure if they have Poly shirts, mugs or magnets at any other location on WDW (someone will know on the DIS I am sure).

I also like shopping at the Downtown Disney stores, there are so many shops.....so much fun!

A few of our favorite resort gift shops are BouTiki at the Poly, The Mercantile at the WL, and Bayview Gifts at the CR .

I love them all! Every chance I get, I am in one. I actually like them better than shopping at the parks. Much more relaxed shopping.

Don't forget the trading posts at FW - there are two. The Meadow trading post is near the center of the resort and is a little larger. The Settlement trading post is near Pioneer Hall (Hoop Dee Doo) and the marina (boats to/from MK). If you're at WL, you can even take a quick bus ride to the Settlement area.

All of the Monorail resorts have interesting gift shops. At the Epcot Resorts, I would say BW/BWV has the best, followed by YC. I agree that BC/BCV gets the short end of the shopping stick because of the QS dining area.

Does anyone know where you can still find the Mr. Potato Head parts that you fill in a box? I want to know which gift shops they are in as well as if you know how much it costs for the box. I tried finding this online and I found a few answers but I want to make sure the answers are the same from when they were posted like 2 to 3 yrs ago. any info is valuable.
