Gift Decorating Idea's

My Mom called today and wants everyone in the family to bring (1) gift to her house to place under her tree "as decoration".

She would like beautifully decorated boxes with something very little inside (like from the buck store).

Anywho, I would love to see what my friends here on the DISBOARDS. can come up with. My mind is going blank.

A friend of mine altered a chipboard box into a gorgeous holiday box. The box itself was a work of art. She used pretty scrapping paper with gilt and ribbon for embellishing.

Target dollar spot had some nice photo cubes to put pics in. You could use that as the gift.

As for the box, I go to Target. I think hands down they have the most beautiful paper, especially the ones that are flocked.
One year I wrapped large Oatmeal containers with maroon flocked wrapping paper and I used gold vellum as the top and ribbon to make it look like a drum. I did nine of these and I put hand made cookies inside.

I'll have to see if my mom still has hers, if she does I'll snap a pic.
