Gift Card for no Housekeeping at Sports

I'm not entirely sure. This is what I got. We didn't even get it for the first day because we did online check in so didn't go to the front desk until the next morning to sign up.

Were you deducted a day for signing up the next morning? We are doing online checkin so we can make a beeline to AK and our FPs for FoP as soon we get there. Maybe I can sign up after we get back that night...

It most definitely will not. They can't hire enough housekeepers to keep up so they are offering an incentive to forgo it. They have zero plans to charge extra for a basic service.

We were not given $10 for the first night, no. I think someone upthread might have mentioned that this is standard practice. Not sure if it was that or the fact that we went the following morning after our check in day, even though we had not received housekeeping for that day yet.

Yes, I believe it’s always minus one night (because they must clean the room after your final night).

I check into ASSp next week and will definitely take them up on this! Free money for me and I don't like anyone in my room when I am gone. We are very tidy, pick up after ourselves and have no problem using a towel more than one time. Yeah!!!

Does anyone know if they would give you a physical gift card if you prefer that over an Ecard? I could see that being a pain to have to pull up my email every time I want to make a purchase with it somewhere. (not to mention there are still people out there without smartphones). Also, what are the chances that they will still have this going on in April? How recently did this start with the gift cards?

Yes, they do it at Music. While in line waiting to check in last Saturday, I heard the CMs talking about it with the people in front of me.

That's what I'm afarid of too with this incentive. But I think (hope) Disney knows it would turn a lot of people off / be a last straw for people.

If you already have a physical gift card, just go online and add the ecard amount to it. Super easy!

No, none of the Deluxes offer this.
