Gideon's Reopening Date Rumor

Please don't flame me for this, especially if it's been discussed because I haven't seen this particular rumor on the boards. I know Gideon's did a soft opening in December and I don't think they've released an official reopening date. However, I heard a rumor that they are supposedly not reopening until April. I've only heard this from ONE person so I have no idea if it's true and I definitely am not intending to start a rumor that isn't verified. I'm mostly wondering if anyone else has heard this and can validate it. We are coming in March so I'll be sad if we miss it, but it is what it is.

Seems like a long time between soft opening and actual opening... plus a lot of lost business while still paying rent on a stagnant business/property. But who knows, they seem to have gone in complete emcon since closing with no updates in a while.

on IG last week they said the indoor construction should be done in the next week, so I think they had to reimagine their set up since the lines were so long, and it wasn't very efficient.

Yea, combed through their Facebook page which they (Gideon’s) replied to someone asking when they would be opening. They stated “Interior work is almost done. A few more days so stay tuned!” That was two days ago.

On Instagram, an influencer posted about Gideon's closing after their soft opening & I replied saying that since we'll be visiting in March that they would have their grand opening by then. Gideons (or their social media person) replied that they were doing some minor fixes & would be reopen "in a few days" & that was 4 days ago. Crossing fingers that the Grand Opening will be announced soon.

If it is true they had covid and kept secret I think that’s poor form. Think official reason was to remodel inside for capacity I think. Let’s see if any differences internally.

Well, it is less than two weeks since they closed with them reopening today.

Their cookies are basically just a bunch of candy or chocolate chips with just enough cookie dough to hold them together. I prefer a regular cookie myself.

I actually make my chocolate chip cookies with less chips than any recipe ever calls for. I like the cookie.

Everyone raves about them but I look at them and they all looked unappealing as they were showing up in my Twitter feed.

If I can walk up and order I will grab one just to try it but will be skipping any lines they have.

They are open today. Don’t have the “off-season” seasonal cookies today, that is Saturday only. Did have the January cookie (coffee toffee).
