Giant Eagle question....

For those of you that have Giant Eagle where you live, I'm hoping you can help me.

I have foodperks that I've been saving and I am up to 23% but you can only use up to 20% at a time. What I want to do is go buy gift cards before we leave. If I bough $500 in gift cards can I use my 20% and only end up paying $400? This sounds like a real good plan but I don't know if I can use the foodperks on a gift card purchase.

Also will I get the fuelperks too when I buy the gift cards? If so thats 80 cent off in one transaction. Is this too good to be true?

I'm pretty sure you cannot use the 20% off, but you will defintely get $1.00 off on your next gas purchase. I giant eagle!

I asked and No you can not use them on gift cards, photo or dry cleaning. It can only be used for food. So now is a good time to stock your pantry and use that discount.

Yes you will get the fuel perks! It was so nice to get gas a save $40 last week after we purchased enough gift cards to buy our 10 day non park hoppers.

In case your not aware, the foodperks and fuelperks do expire, so don't "save" them to long! Not sure but I think they expire after 90 days.

You will get the fuelparks when you purchase the gift cards at Giant Eagle!!

DH and I purchased $700 in Disney gift cards to pay on our upcoming Disney trip. We bought them (I think April) when they were giving .20 for every $50 spent!! We also charged them on our Discover card and earned 1% cash back!! (which we pay off every month and pay no annual fee) Every little bit helps these days!

Thanks! I haven't had them for 90 days yet. We get them a lot because DH fuels his delivery truck up 2x a week and we earn 6-8% off every time he does that.(his employer pays the fuel cost)

I was just hoping I would get lucky with being able to use the foodperks on the gift cards.

Unfortunately, they are foodperks. But, you'll save the same amount of money whether you spend $300 on gift cards or $300 on food. ($300 is the max per transaction) So, either way you are good.

I think they now expire after 60 days.
